"So, your goal is simple—you just want to join miHoYo?"
Su Chen faced the blue-haired girl sitting upright, smiling as he looked at her. "Lady Furina, you don't need to be so formal."
He only had scripts for Honkai: Star Rail and Honkai Impact 3rd. He definitely wouldn't be filming Genshin.
But he didn't expect Furina to come knocking with business… not a massage, of course.
"You could really consider it. I think theater is a great form of expression. What do you say?"
"Theater's fine, but there's really no venue in the interactive city. You know, Herta Space Station, Belobog, Penacony, Xianzhou Luofu—these are interactive facilities, but they're also filming locations. There's no extra space to use."
"No worries, as long as you agree, it's fine. Money, land, actors—I'll handle it all."
With that, Furina pulled out her phone and called Neuvillette.
After a brief exchange, she looked at Su Chen with full sincerity. "Everything's settled. Just nod, and it's done. If that's not enough, I can add more money."
Su Chen let out an "Oh." "Let me get this straight. You buy a plot near the interactive city with your own money, build a structure, and the property rights stay with me. Then you perform as a theater actor for free and pay me on top of that. Is that how I understand it?"
"You summed it up perfectly."
Su Chen spread his hands, perfectly fitting my stereotype of Lady Furina. "What else can I do? I'll just have to take the loss."
Furina stood, bowing in thanks. "Thank you!"
And I'm the one being thanked… Su Chen stood too, extending both hands—one in a handshake gesture, the other pulling out a 99-year labor contract. "Since you're going this far, I'm not one to take advantage. Sign the contract, and you'll be part of miHoYo. At least you'll have a title, so it won't feel so distant, right?"
"Makes sense. I just genuinely like this place. Signing's no big deal—it's like coming home."
"By the way, since you're here, who came with you? And Neuvillette? Find a way to get them to sign contracts too. Thanks for the effort."
"Mission guaranteed!"
…
Not long after.
In an open area of the interactive city.
Stelle, Kiana, and Belle surrounded a blond-haired girl.
"I'm just here to find my brother. Do I really need three people to guide me?"
The tallest, Stelle, straightened her back. "What's your name? I'm the big boss here—Stelle!"
"No way, right?" Kiana stepped in front of Stelle. "I'm the big boss, okay?"
The blond girl quietly moved to Belle's side. "What's with these two?"
"Sigh, I don't even want to comment." Belle shook her head. "By the way, what's your name?"
"I'm Lumine."
"Oh, then you're our little sister from now on."
"Wait a sec!" Qingque suddenly popped out from a nearby bush. "How can you just decide sister rankings so casually?"
Qingque raised a finger, a spark of inspiration in her eyes. "Hey! I've got an idea! How about a thrilling round of mahjong?"
"Mahjong?" Belle glanced at Qingque. "Playing mahjong during work hours? Not afraid your boss will make you pay?"
"You're mistaken. We're not gambling for money, just calculating points. Highest points is big sister, then second sister, third sister, and youngest sister. Isn't that great?"
Qingque found a rock to stand on, pulling apart Stelle and Kiana, who were butting heads. "Come on, let's play mahjong."
However, she seemed to forget there were five people present, but mahjong only needs four.
Soon.
After a round, the four sorted out the winner.
Belle looked at the mahjong table in despair. "How am I this unlucky?"
Lumine patted Belle's shoulder. "It's fine. I don't know why, but I somehow ended up as second sister."
Stelle pulled a cookie stick from a cigarette pack and put it in her mouth. "Maybe this is what growing up feels like, third sister."
"Hahahaha!" Kiana put her hands on her hips, laughing wildly. "I told you, I'm the ultimate big boss!"
"So, sisters! You're done playing." Qingque rubbed her hands. "Who's stepping out so I can take a turn?"
"Forget it. Since we've sorted out the rankings, let's call it. We still need to help Lumine find her brother."
"Oh, I forgot about finding my brother."
"Don't do this, okay?" Qingque tugged at Stelle's pant leg. "Don't leave, please?"
Belle suddenly looked behind Qingque in shock. "Fu Xuan, what are you doing here?"
"Lady Fu? I wasn't slacking, my work's done, I'm writing my report, I…"
After a long ramble, Qingque peeked through a slit in her eyes. Huh? No sound?
She turned around. "Phew, scared me to death. Good thing no one's here! Sigh, not a single person—why is it so hard to get a mahjong table together?"
"I'll play with you, how about that?"
"Really… Ah!!!" Qingque's last few words trembled. After calming down for several seconds, she squeezed out, "Boss…?"
"You still know I'm the boss?" Su Chen raised an eyebrow, his expression unreadable.
"Boss Su Chen, just give me a quick end. That half-smile is creepy."
Su Chen's lips curved upward unconsciously. "Now?"
"I feel like you're about to play my fan-made video!" Qingque caught the hint. "It's Thursday—don't tell me you're planning to…?"
"Pretty smart. You're quite famous in the fan-creation scene too."
"Not as famous as Firefly!" Qingque gave an awkward laugh. "Haven't you noticed Firefly's fan-made persona is a bit off?"
"I'm so pure, I haven't noticed a thing." With that, Su Chen opened his browser, deleting search records for "Firefly Splashing," "It's Dawn, Firefly's Still Moving," and a series of similar terms.
"Oh, then I'll head out, Boss."
The next moment, Qingque yelped. "Boss, you don't have to choke me!"
"Let's go. It's team-building today. You're my bodyguard."
Qingque's eyes welled with tears. "I'm still young, I don't want to die!"
