Reincarnation of the magicless!
"No magic?, No problem!"
Chapter 10: Next shot!
Next morning Rolien wake up early to start his new project." Alright, baby let's do this!" He shouted as he start his soap making.
First, he mixed the ingredients for the shampoo, ensuring the consistency was just right. The scent was refreshing, a blend of herbs and flowers that he hoped would appeal to the villagers. Next, he moved on to the soap, combining oils and lye with precision. The soap took shape beautifully, and he couldn't help but admire the smooth texture.
Finally, he crafted the matches, carefully assembling the components. The satisfaction of creating something useful and potentially profitable filled him with pride.
"Oh hoho! Man, I feel like I'm a beautiful lady, huhuhu," he said as he mimicked a young girl's reaction, but little did he know his nanny Lyra was watching him at the small gap at the slightly open door. "Oh my God, the young master is...a," but all of a sudden one of the maids walked behind her and spoke. "Hey, Miss Lyra, what are you doing?" She said, and that startled Lyra, which made her almost jump. And Rolien turned and saw the door was closed and went back to his product making.

Rolien beamed at the results. "This is going to be a hit!" he exclaimed, envisioning the villagers' reactions when they saw the quality of his products.

He arranged the packs of matches in an eye-catching manner, ensuring they were easily accessible. How's that? I tried to keep the playful tone and added a bit of charm to attract customers, especially the ladies!"Rolien wishper to lyra.
And lyra nodded and smile .
The villagers started to gather around Rolien's stall, drawn in by his energetic pitch. Some chuckled at his antics, while others looked intrigued by the products.
A villager asked, "How does your soap work? I've tried many soaps before, but they always leave my skin dry."
Rolien smiled, "Ah, my friend, our soap is made with the finest oils and herbs, carefully crafted to nourish and moisturize your skin. It's perfect for daily use!"
A young woman pointed at the shampoo, "Ooh, I love the smell of that! Does it really make hair shine like gold?"
Lyra chimed in, "Yes, miss! Our shampoo is made with special herbs that add shine and softness to your hair. And the scent is divine!"
As the morning went on, Rolien and Lyra sold several bottles of shampoo, bars of soap, and packs of matches. The villagers seemed pleased with the quality and prices.
Just then, a noble couple strolled by, eyeing the stall with interest. The noblewoman noticed the soap and asked, "How much for a bar of soap? We might be interested in purchasing some for our estate."
Rolien beamed, "Ah, noble lady, our soap is priced at 3 silver coins per bar, but for you, I'd be happy to offer a discount. Perhaps 2 silver coins per bar for a bulk purchase?"
The noble couple exchanged a look, and the nobleman said, "We'll take 20 bars. Let's see if they're as good as you claim."
As Rolien and Lyra wrapped up the sale, Rolien thought to himself, "This is going to be a fantastic day!"
Rolien and Lyra were busy selling their goods to the villagers when they noticed two figures approaching their stall. "Oh, madam and young miss, come, come, see our products. This is for all ages—girl, boy, gay, tomboy, even for your…I'm dead!" Rolien said as he slowly recognized the people that were in front of him as he was sweating bullets.
Rolien's eyes widened as he recognized his mother, Grand Duchess Lady Lirien Grey, and his sister, Elara Grey. He tried to compose himself, but his mind was racing.
"Ah, Mother, Si…sister! Welcome to my... uh, humble stall," Rolien stammered, trying to hide his nervousness. As he slowly moved his feet to run, he saw an opening.
His mother glared at him, her icy stare piercing through his disguise. "Is this... soap? And what's this strange concoction in bottles? How much for them?"
Lyra tugged on Rolien's shirt, her eyes wide with fear. Rolien recognized the warning sign and froze.
"Oh... shoot... I'm... uh, I'm screwed," Rolien murmured under his breath. As he dashed to the side with Lyra, but before he could land his left foot, his mother's ice magic froze him and Lyra in place. "So, this is why you're not at your sword training, huh?"
With a firm grip, Lady Lirien pinched Rolien's ear, and Elara chuckled as she picked him up like a sack of rice. "Let's take him home and discuss this... 'soap-making' business."
As they were carried away, Lyra followed, trying to explain, "M-milady, it's just a little side project..."
At the mansion, Rolien faced a stern lecture from his mother. "A noble son selling soap and... shampoo? What is this nonsense? You're one of the future of this family, not a merchant!"
Elara chimed in, "Brother, what's gotten into you? You're supposed to be training for knighthood, not... making soap."
Rolien sighed, knowing he was in for a long night of scolding and possibly worse.
Rolien tried his cutest puppy dog eyes on his mother and sister, hoping to deflect their anger. However, this time, it didn't seem to be working.
Lady Lirien's expression remained stern. "Don't try to charm your way out of this, Rolien. You're a noble, and this behavior is unbecoming."
Elara chimed in, "Yeah, brother, you're not getting out of this one that easily."
Their father, Grand Duke Grey, walked into the room, chuckling. "Ah, I see you're having a lively discussion about soap-making."
Lady Lirien turned to him. "You find this amusing, dear?"
Grand Duke Grey shrugged. "Well, our son is showing entrepreneurial spirit. Maybe we can find a way to channel this into something more... suitable for a noble," his father said and winked at him.
Rolien's eyes lit up with hope. "Really, Father?"
"Yeah! Nice save, Father! That's my dad, huhuhu!" He said internally.
However, Lady Lirien wasn't having it. "No, dear. He's going to focus on his training and responsibilities. This soap-making nonsense is just a phase."
Rolien sighed, knowing he was in for a tough time.
Grand Duke Grey's smile faltered as Lady Lirien's icy gaze turned to him.
"You knew about this, didn't you?" she asked, her voice firm.
Grand Duke Grey cleared his throat. "Well, I might have... heard rumors."
Elara chimed in, "Father, you're supposed to be helping Mother keep Brother in line, not enabling his antics!"
Lady Lirien's expression turned stern. "Indeed, dear. It seems we need to have a discussion about parenting priorities."
Grand Duke Grey held up his hands in defense. "Now, now, my dear. I was just... observing from afar."
Lady Lirien raised an eyebrow. "Observing? You were probably encouraging him behind my back, weren't you?"
Rolien watched the exchange, trying not to laugh at his father's predicament. It seemed he wasn't the only one in trouble now. Sigh, man. He can just pretend that he didn't know, this old man," he sighed internally.
After a few hours, Grand Duke Grey and Rolien found themselves in a more relaxed atmosphere, both chuckling about the earlier scolding.
Grand Duke Grey turned to Rolien, a grin on his face. "Hey kid, how much did you earn? Did you sell out?"
Rolien beamed with pride. "Yeah, Father! I sold a bunch of soap and shampoo, and even some matches. And as promised, I got you and Mom soap and shampoos, and your very own lotion! I'm sure Mother will forgive us because of this."
Grand Duke Grey laughed, clearly amused. "You think a few bars of soap will soften her up, huh? Well, let's go see if your plan works."
Grand Duke Grey and Rolien walked to the living room, where Lady Lirien and Elara were sitting. Rolien nervously held out the basket of soap and shampoo, hoping his mother's anger had subsided.
Lady Lirien looked up, still slightly stern, but a hint of curiosity in her eyes. "What's this?"
Rolien smiled, "I got you some soap and shampoo, Mother. The soap is supposed to be very nourishing, and the shampoo will make your hair shine like gold."
Elara chimed in, "Yeah, Mother, maybe you should try it. It might relax you."
Lady Lirien's expression softened slightly as she took the basket from Rolien. "Very well, I'll try it. But don't think this means you're off the hook that easily, young man."
Grand Duke Grey chuckled, "Ah, my dear, you're not going to forgive him just yet?"
Lady Lirien shot him a look, "Not that easily. But I suppose a good soap and shampoo can't hurt."
Rolien breathed a sigh of relief, knowing he had taken a step in the right direction.
Lady Lirien's expression softened further, and she couldn't help but smile at Rolien's enthusiasm. "Alright, alright. You're forgiven... this time."
Rolien shouted in excitement, "Thanks, Mother!" and ran to hug her, wrapping his arms around her waist.
Lady Lirien laughed and hugged him back, "I'm glad you're learning to take responsibility for your actions, even if it's in a... unconventional way."
Just as the family was sharing a warm moment, a dark cloud loomed on the horizon. In a distant land, an army of monsters emerged from the shadows, their eyes glowing with an otherworldly energy.
The leader of the monsters, a towering figure with razor-sharp claws, gazed out at the landscape, its voice echoing through the land. "The time of conquest has begun. Nothing will stand in our way."
The monsters began their march, their footsteps thundering across the land, leaving destruction and chaos in their wake. The people of the nearby villages trembled with fear, knowing they were no match for the approaching horde.
Meanwhile, Rolien and his family remained blissfully unaware of the impending doom, basking in their warm family moment. But for how long?
The next morning, Rolien arrived at Mr. Yohan's workshop, still grinning from the previous day's events. Mr. Yohan looked up from his workbench, chuckling.
"Ha! I heard about your soap-selling adventure, kid. You're quite the entrepreneur, aren't you?" Mr. Yohan laughed, shaking his head.
Rolien blushed, "Yeah, I guess I am. But I learned my lesson. Mother wasn't too happy about it."
Mr. Yohan chuckled, "I'm sure she wasn't. But enough about that. Let's focus on something more interesting... like this magic rifle!"
Rolien's eyes lit up as he worked alongside Mr. Yohan, fascinated by the invention. "I know, right? The magic absorbing stones are so versatile. We can use them to propel projectiles or even infuse them with elemental magic."
Mr. Yohan nodded, "Exactly! And the possibilities are endless. Imagine using a stone infused with a high-level fire spell... the destructive potential would be immense."
Rolien's eyes widened, "That's incredible! We could revolutionize warfare with this technology."
Mr. Yohan grinned, "That's the idea, kid. Now, let's see what other possibilities we can explore with these stones..."
Rolien explained to Mr. Yohan, "You see, the magic absorbing stones can absorb and store magical energy from various elements like air, fire, water, and earth. Once they're saturated with enough mana, they can be used in this magic rifle to propel projectiles or unleash devastating elemental attacks."
Mr. Yohan's eyes lit up with interest. "That's fascinating! So, if we infuse a stone with a high-level fire spell and use it in the rifle, it would create a massive explosion?"
Rolien nodded enthusiastically. "Exactly! The stored magical energy would be released upon firing, creating a powerful blast. We could also use stones with different elemental affinities to adapt to various situations."
Mr. Yohan chuckled, impressed. "You're a natural at this, kid. I think we're onto something big here. Let's see what other possibilities we can explore with these stones."
As they continued working on the magic rifle, Rolien's excitement grew. He couldn't wait to see the potential impact of their invention on the world.
Mr. Yohan asked, "What happens when the magic absorbing stone runs out of stored air magic to propel the magic bullets?"
Rolien thought for a moment before responding, "That's a great question! I think we can solve this by designing a cylinder system that holds multiple magic absorbing stones infused with air magic. Each stone would be used to propel a certain number of magic bullets, and once it's depleted, the cylinder would eject the spent stone and load a new one."
Mr. Yohan's eyes widened in interest. "That's a great idea! Like your crossbow that you gave at your big brother Elian?!"
Rolien nodded. "Exactly! And to make it even more efficient, we could design the magic bullets to have their own replaceable magazine. Imagine a detachable magazine that holds multiple magic bullets, each infused with a specific type of elemental magic. When one magazine is empty, we could simply eject it and replace it with a new one. Like in the movies I'm outta ammo! Cover me!"
Mr. Yohan whistled. "Movies? What is that? ….anyways! That's a fantastic design! The cylinder system for the air magic stones and the replaceable magazine for the magic bullets would make this magic rifle incredibly versatile and practical for combat situations."
Rolien smiled, excited about the potential of their invention. "I think we can take it even further. We could design the rifle to be modular, allowing users to swap out different types of magic absorbing stones and magic bullets depending on the situation. It would be like having multiple guns in one."
Mr. Yohan grinned. "I love it! Let's get to work on designing and building this magic rifle. The possibilities are endless!"
Meanwhile, at the magic academy, Elrian, Rolien's older brother, stood at the edge of the training grounds, his eyes fixed on the entrance to the simulated monster lair. He took a deep breath, mentally preparing himself for the incursion – a monster hunting exam that would test his skills as a first-semester student.
As he loaded his crossbow, a custom-made one that Rolien had designed for him, Elrian felt a surge of confidence. The crossbow was equipped with magic-absorbing bolts that could adapt to various elemental weaknesses, making it a versatile tool for hunting monsters.
The examiner's voice echoed through the grounds, "Alright, students! Your mission is to hunt and defeat the monsters within the lair. You have one hour to complete the task. Good luck!"
Elrian nodded to himself, took aim, and stepped forward into the unknown. As he entered the lair, the doors slammed shut behind him, and the sound of growling monsters filled the air.
Suddenly, a dark shape emerged from the shadows, its eyes glowing with an otherworldly energy. Elrian's grip on the crossbow tightened, and he prepared to fire...
But just as he was about to take aim, a loud roar echoed through the lair, and the ground began to shake. Elrian's eyes widened as a massive monster emerged from the depths of the lair, its gaze fixed on him...
Elrian's heart pounded in his chest as he realized that this might be more than he bargained for...
