Chapter 165 - Can't Be with a Man Who Beats a Woman

Hilla stayed around Halle 24/7 to prevent her from another accident in the hospital.

Hilla was wary of Horton, who was on his round of regular sick calls.

"Dr. Hutt, you only got one patient to look after? Or the hospital only got one patient?"

"I'm on the day shift!"

Horton replied forcefully, "Halle loved my cooking. She eats more when I cook."

"You want to make Halle's baby gain weight and then a difficult labor, don't you?" Hilla muttered.

Halle gently pulled her clothes and whispered, "Don't be ridiculous!"

"Thank you for your regular visit, Dr. Hutt. My time is near, so you needn't come too often."

Halle looked at Horton with disgust. The closer to the delivery date, the fearer she was to see Horton.

Perhaps Halle was paranoid, but she panicked once she pictured that Horton was the first person to see her baby.

Blood is thicker than water. One couldn't cut off stronger family bonds of loyalty.

Halle didn't believe the talk, but she had to be careful.
