Titus had been waiting in the hospital for a long time but Halle did not come. Titus was worried that Halle would go to another hospital because of what he had done to her.
If so, it would be even more difficult for him to find Halle.
Now he saw Hilla. Although he knew Hilla couldn't make decisions for Halle, he found hope.
He could ask Hilla or Halle to forgive him so as to remarry Halle. He would show Halle his sincerity.
"You are Titus? Damn you! Your family treated Halle as a maid and ordered her about for five years. Do you take her as your wife?
"Now you want her back with her unborn baby. Dream on!"
Seeing that Hilla was hesitating, Margaret pulled Titus's hand away from Hilla's clothes. Then Hilla came to herself and immediately took two steps back to keep a distance from Titus.
She should not think about asking Halle to remarry. Halle had told her that she did not want to marry anyone.
