As the team's driver and support, Falco chose to stay by the parked vehicles, ready to assist the team during their retreat.

The rest of the crew took their positions.

Maine and Dorio moved near the factory's front gate and found a concealed spot to hide, patiently waiting for the infiltration team's progress.

Pilar and Rebecca followed closely behind the infiltration unit.

Although the support team didn't need to infiltrate, they had to be close enough to intervene immediately if the infiltration team called for help. They couldn't afford to fall too far behind or lose track of them.

After circling the perimeter of the factory, Lin Mo and Sasha identified a suitable point of entry.

The factory was surrounded by sturdy concrete walls topped with spiked barbed wire—a primary defensive barrier.

Barbed wire—an old-fashioned yet effective security measure—had been in use since World War I. Durable, easy to deploy, and still relevant in the 2070s, even in an age of widespread cybernetic enhancements. History had proven its efficiency and cost-effectiveness time and again.

Due to the factory's long abandonment, a gap had formed in one corner of the barbed wire fence.

The four of them approached the site, standing before the two-meter-high wall. Some faces remained calm; others grew grim.

"I'll go in first. See you in a bit."

Sasha winked, then sprang lightly off the ground, grabbed the top of the wall, and flipped over with the grace of a gymnast.

Pilar glanced at the wall, then at Rebecca, whose expression had turned dark. He let out a wicked chuckle.

With his special goggles obscuring his expression, Lin Mo couldn't see Pilar's face clearly, but his posture made the mockery obvious.

He didn't seem interested in helping his sister. His unusually long cybernetic arms extended with a mechanical click—arms nearly a meter long that stretched even farther.

With a simple leap, Pilar effortlessly grabbed the top of the wall, perching atop it like an agile primate.

Once up, he didn't immediately jump down. Instead, he turned around in silence and raised a middle finger at Rebecca.

Rebecca gritted her teeth, the hand gripping her pistol trembling with rage.

If they weren't in the middle of an infiltration op, she might've actually shot him.

Like it was part of a daily ritual, Pilar finished mocking her, then casually leapt down to the other side.

That left only Lin Mo and Rebecca on their side of the wall.

Lin Mo gauged the height—it was within his capability.

Even without jump-enhancing implants, this wasn't too much for him.

But...

He turned and glanced at the petite Rebecca, who was glaring at the wall in clear frustration.

A few seconds later, she turned and walked away.

"Where are you going?" Lin Mo called after her.

Rebecca glanced back, spitting to the side. "Can't get over here. Why waste time? I'll find another way."

She raised her pistol to rest on her head, her mint-green twin tails bobbing as she chewed her gum. "Wait. I'll find another spot to climb. Once you're over, tell that dumbass brother of mine to stay put. I'll show him what sisterly love really means!"

Lin Mo gave a small cough. "Sorry, I don't mean to get between you and your brother, but time's tight. If you don't mind... how about I carry you over?"

Rebecca froze, turned to face him, eyeing him skeptically. "You serious?"

"If you don't mind, I don't mind," Lin Mo replied, hands raised.

She hesitated for a few seconds, then hardened her expression. "Fine. He'll think I'm weak, but the mission comes first."

Decision made, she threw her hands out. "Come on. Don't waste time."

Lin Mo sighed and stepped forward, turning his back to her and crouching. The snarling white wolf emblazoned on the back of his jacket stared outward.

Rebecca hesitated for a second, then wrapped her arms around his neck and climbed on.

Lin Mo reached under to lift her legs. Her skin, unnaturally pale, was clearly synthetic, yet felt soft—perhaps even softer than natural flesh.

Behind him, Rebecca let out a faint grunt.

"Something wrong? Uncomfortable?" Lin Mo asked as he walked toward the wall.

"No. Just get on with it," she snapped, clearly not used to being carried.

Lin Mo chuckled softly, trying to lighten the mood. "It's chilly tonight. You're just in that black jacket. Not cold?"

"Ask again and I'll shoot you," Rebecca replied flatly.

She wasn't bluffing.

Lin Mo suddenly felt the cold steel of her pistol against the back of his neck—a sharp, electric chill that made every nerve stand on end.

He wasn't like Pilar, used to having a gun pressed to him at random. For Lin Mo, this was a first.

His whole body tensed instinctively, hair standing on end, entering a heightened state of alert like a beast sensing danger.

The reaction seemed to ripple back to Rebecca as well. Her breath caught; then she abruptly lifted the pistol and smacked him on the head with it.

"Keep twitching like that and I really will shoot," she growled. Her tone was still fierce, but less steady this time.

You're the one pointing guns at people for no reason... Lin Mo thought bitterly.

He stopped trying to make conversation, turned to the wall, crouched, and leapt up. Grabbing the top edge, he pushed himself up and over.

His reflex-enhancing implants and boosted physical stats made the motion clean and effortless.

Getting over the wall was child's play.

He dropped down on the other side. Sasha and Pilar, already waiting there, froze when they saw Rebecca on his back.

Rebecca quickly dismounted and dusted herself off, saying nothing.

Pilar, recovering from the surprise, gave Lin Mo a thumbs up—then flipped it downward at Rebecca with a smirk.

Rebecca curled her lip in disdain and responded with a middle finger. Still, she kept silent.

"Let's split here," Sasha said, smiling. "Rebecca, you and Pilar stay put. Mr. Lin Mo and I will look for an entry point. If anything goes wrong, come back us up."

Lin Mo scanned the area. They'd climbed into the southeast corner of the factory, where some abandoned containers provided decent cover.

"I'll wait here for the good news, kid. Wrap up the job and let's celebrate at Lizzie's Bar!" Pilar said with a grin.

Lin Mo nodded, placing a hand on the Black Unicorn strapped to him, then followed Sasha away from the container stacks.

They circled around a building and arrived at the open space in front of the factory gates. The Scavs were still busy with their nighttime feast.

Sasha and Lin Mo took cover behind one of the factory buildings, observing the party and scanning for hidden surveillance.

"Lin Mo, we shouldn't draw attention just yet. Our task is to search the interiors and locate the mission target," Sasha whispered, turning to him with a calm, sisterly tone.

"Can you stop with the formalities? Feels like I'm a stranger. We're on a mission here, Sasha," Lin Mo sighed.

"Okay, Lin Mo~" Sasha purred, her voice turning playful like a kitten's mewl.
