Hitetsu: "I see. So those rumors were true, but I didn't expect it to be that way," said the former shogun of Wano.
It's been a day since I unlocked advanced haki. Since then, I've been planning what I was going to do, and the first thing was to leave the information I obtained with Hitetsu and leave Sakura and Akiko with him, since, given how things were going to be, the least they could possibly do to her would be to exclude her from everything.
Right now, I was detransformed in front of the old man. I had the transformation to cover my identity, but now that I was leaving, there was no point in doing so, so I showed him my true appearance. Just out of goodwill.
Akiko: "You're safe, my lord," she said, a little sadly.
Sakura: "If you wish, we can do other things, or even follow him."
I just shook my head. I sensed the concern in his voice; it reminded me of Trini, Arthur, Sulli, Isis, and Hun. Remembering that I still have a family there, they'll wait for me to come back.
Dante: "I can't. With what I want to do, I'll have to take care of them, and one of them might die in the process, and I couldn't afford that." They just looked at me remorsefully, knowing it was true. "But don't be so sad. I'm going to come back for you. I just need the situation to calm down a bit, since you'll be watching Wano in case I ever return. Until then, just wait."
They both nodded. Hitetsu approached and grabbed my shoulder.
Hitetsu: "Are you sure you're going to do all that? You can just leave," he said worriedly.
Dante: "Thanks for the concern, old man, but it's something I want to do." It's mostly for the LPs. I haven't beaten King yet, and since Kaido isn't here, it shouldn't be a problem. Plus, my body has been asking me to cause a little chaos.
I used to ignore this feeling, but knowing they were pirates, I'd let myself go a little this time. I wouldn't kill anyone, since I didn't want them to chase me to death, but I would anger them enough to burst their wrists.
Dante: "Well, if all goes well, we'll see each other in a pinch; hopefully not too long." I told the old man before leaving, but I stopped and took something out of the bag I got from the things I'd stored when I arrived; I'd gone to look for her when I got back here. I took a sign out of the bag and threw it at him. "My name is not Senji Murasama, and I'm not from the Shimotsuki family. Sorry for lying to you."
Hitetsu: "So, what family are you from?" he asked out of pure curiosity.
I stopped without looking back.
Dante: "My mother comes from these lands. She and her family escaped from something their relatives had done. They sought a better life, but sadly, my mother was kidnapped and sold into slavery, being abused by my father. I was born, and shortly after giving birth to me, she died. I don't know how, but at this point, I don't care. I never met her, so it didn't matter much to me." I paused for a moment in my tirade; no one said anything; the three of them were listening to me. "My mother's name was Kurozumi Hiroko." And with that, I spread my wings and flew away without waiting for an answer.
...
I had flown directly to Onigashima, wanting to do this as quickly as possible. I knew there was no benefit to it, but I felt I had to do it. I had seen how the Beast Pirates had destroyed this country alongside Orochi, so I had to deal a good blow before I left, because when I returned for Sakura and Akiko, I would never return to this country again.
The Beast Pirates is one of the strongest crews in the world today, thanks to Queen, King, and Kaido. I wanted to see what they would do against an "admiral-level power." I remember they had faced Greenbull and he humiliated them, so I don't have much faith, but these are things you have to see with your own eyes and not from an outside source.
Third-person POV.
On Onigashima, you could see how the Beast Pirates were peacefully going about their days; it wasn't always chaos and destruction—that was when they left this island. You could say they were even normal people, but that doesn't take away from the pirate nature they have. They continued walking, not trusting the people next to them, who would betray them without any scruples, with zero genuine loyalty. They only followed the strongest, in this case Kaido. But, as you can see, that doesn't mean a moment of peace isn't something anyone wants at some point.
Pirate 1: "Hey, did you hear that?" asked one of his companions, who was playing cards outside a shop, passing the time. This pirate had more exceptional hearing than the others nearby.
Pirate 2: "I don't know what you're talking about. Stop wasting time and exchange faces; it's your turn," said the pirate next to him.
Pirate 1: "Wait, I swear I hear something—" He couldn't continue saying what was on his mind, as not far from where they were, something unrecognizable crashed.
The pirates nearby became alert and grabbed whatever weapons they had and came closer to see.
Pirate 3: "What is it? Do you see anything?" he asked, since the smoke obscured the epicenter of the crash, so it was impossible to see what had fallen.
At that moment, a shadow of a person appears in the middle, and two wings emerge from his back. As they move, they displace all the smoke, revealing the object that had fallen on Onigashima, in this case a person.
Dante: "Hey, how's life going? I've come to see King and challenge him to a sword duel. No, that sounded ugly, a life-or-death duel, I hope; I don't want to kill him, you know? Just tell him to come and no one will get hurt." Our protagonist said, dressed as he had always done since arriving in Wano. Some recognized the clothing but not the person, so they mistook him for an enemy.
Pirate 4: "You dare invade the Beast Pirates' base; you won't get away with it." Like a flip of a switch, all the surrounding pirates leaped to attack.
Dante dodged and knocked out everyone who approached him, but it was too much; it was as if they were multiplying, so he angrily decided to use his Conqueror's Haki, and from one moment to the next, all the Beast Pirates in sight fainted, foaming from their mouths.
Staring at the main base on Onigashima, Dante expelled more Haki, creating a pressure that caused parts of the base to slowly begin to crumble.
The base was in chaos; more than 90% of the Beast Pirates had fainted, and the entire island began to shake.
King immediately realized what was happening, but everything he was doing was falling apart, so he could only reorganize and quickly finish what he was doing to get there, hoping the others would entertain him long enough before he finished and headed there.
Queen ran from one place to another; all the tubes and objects from his research were falling to the ground; panicking, he was trying to save what he could.
Dante began walking toward the base while the houses around him slowly began to decay. This continued until he heard someone approaching. It was Ulti who looked angrily at Dante.
Ulti: "You," she said angrily, throwing her head at Dante, "how dare you come—?" She couldn't say anything more, as Dante dodged her and punched her in the neck, instantly knocking her out.
Dante: "I'm not interested in fighting with little girls."
The moment she fell to the ground, a dinosaur appeared shortly after, following Ulti; this was One Page, who saw his sister defeated on the ground.
Page One: "What did you do to—" His words died right there as he received a punch from Dante in the stomach, causing him to detransform and faint.
Dante: "Same with the kids."
Dante looked at the entrance to the main base, seeing two Tobiroppo there, Sasaki and Black Maria.
(Note: I don't remember if Who-who was there at this point, but I'm too lazy to include him, so he hasn't joined yet.)
Sasaki: "A great prize," he said arrogantly.
Sasaki immediately recognized Dante, but he never believed the rumors of his strength. To him, he was just a useless man who never joined a gang, causing him to feel pity and envy. So, upon seeing him, he didn't hesitate to attack him head-on, blinded by the envy and greed of his own ego after defeating him himself.
Only to receive a Haki punch to the face, sending him flying far away, helpless.
Black Maria watched her companion fly away, unconscious, to the edge of the island, only to look back at Dante, who was standing right in front of her. Seeing him so close, her face turned as red as a tomato, and she began to stutter.
Dante: "Your beautiful face was blocking the entrance, darling. Can you move so I can get through, kitty?" he said with a charm and superiority that got her off her butt, as it was the first time he'd done something like that, but he felt it would have an effect.
And so it was; upon hearing Dante's flattery, Black Maria fainted, completely blushing and delirious. Delirious, Dante allowed himself to be tortured by her and declared his eternal love for her, fathering 50 children in the process.
Dante paid no attention to Black Maria and continued on. When he entered, he saw many unconscious pirates. This one had already stopped emitting Haki when he encountered Ulti but was using Haki; right now there are only four conscious people in the base, and he already had some idea of who they were.
After walking a little further, Dante saw a giant guy; if he didn't know who he was.
Dante: 'I'd say it's a mix of oni, giant, and human.' He thought in his mind.
Dante: "Well, well, I think you ate too many vegetables; you've grown too much. thank goodness there are double XXXXXL sizes."
I think he either misunderstood the size or simply ignored it, as he just deflected his curved swords and approached Dante.
Jack: "I don't care; he'll never pass my defense." He said it as if he believed what he was saying.
Dante just looked at him and, with the help of the system, summoned Fusion Sword.
Dante: "Well, I'm not wasting your time, big guy."
...
In the basement, Queen had already managed to save a few things from her research. Not expecting any of this, she had nothing saved, and consequently, most of her technological advancements were destroyed.
She could only watch the half-destroyed place in great sadness, which soon turned to unquenchable fury.
She stood silently and left the laboratory, listening to the fighting in the distance. Queen intended to make the intruder who had arrived on the island pay dearly; she would make him pay for everything he had lost—years of important data and information thrown away. Her anger was immeasurable. With a red face and veins popping out, she entered the room where the two people were fighting.
Queen: "Tell me, do you know how much I've lost because of your—" She stopped when she saw Jack flying past, destroying the wall and falling into the other room.
Queen stood still, staring straight ahead, only to open her mouth and have her eyes pop out of their sockets, screaming in surprise.
Queen: "It's you," he said, almost panicking.
He recognized Dante immediately; he'd seen the article about the fight with his father. He paid close attention, as he was familiar with the Ares fruit, more specifically, when Vegapunk made the modifications; that's where the inspiration to modify his own body came from, but sadly he hasn't achieved the same results as his old rival.
Furthermore, thanks to his time as a scientist, along with the knowledge of Vegapunk and Kaido, he knows that Holy Knights are difficult to kill, not because of their stamina, but because they can't die by normal means. He'd never seen how it works; he only knows from word of mouth, but he knows.
So, upon seeing Dante, his color went from furious red to pale white, and if he was honest, he didn't want to die; this guy could kill him, something that terrified him, so he abandoned all his fury and wanted to run away and hide. He knew the strength of the dragon fruit, so he didn't want his body to suffer the same fate or a worse one.
Just as he was about to leave, he saw Jack, transformed into a mammoth, lunge at Dante, and the moment he collided with him, he was stopped dead in his tracks.
Dante, with only the strength of his foot, stopped Jack in his tracks, proving that he is superiorly stronger than Jack, even in his mammoth form. This made Jack unconsciously sweat a little, beginning to believe that they might not be as unscathed as he thought.
Without waiting for his opponent, Dante grabbed the mammoth's trunk and began to spin it rapidly; each second he increased his speed until he released it in Queen's direction.
Queen, with her incredible flexibility that belied her physical appearance, dodged Jack, preventing him from crashing into her. It wasn't Haki, just an intuition that Dante would do this, and he got it right.
Afraid of possibly losing more than one limb, he tried to turn around and leave, but he heard a voice that stopped him.
???: "You're planning to escape. It's normal for someone like you," the voice was heard slowly approaching where Dante and Queen were.
It was King who, realizing that all his subordinates were already on the ground except for Jack and Queen, didn't rush to arrive and came walking.
(Note: Subordinates, as he is temporarily in charge while Kaido is away.)
Queen: "You bastard, how dare you say that to me? I was going to beat the shit out of this bastard before you even arrived."
King ignored Queen's words to look at Dante, eyeing his attire.
King: "I didn't know you were coming here, Senji, or rather, Dante Manmayer."
Dante: "Well, it turns out I was leaving Wano and thought I'd visit, but when I arrived, they started attacking me for no apparent reason."
Queen: "You think they're just stupid," he said, annoyed.
Dante: "Obviously, I think I'm losing my sarcasm when I speak."
King just narrowed his eyes and stared at Dante.
King: "Dante, I see you actually have a Zoan-type Devil Fruit, so if you join our crew, you could immediately become an All-Star in our crew; that way, I'll forget all this. What do you say?"
Dante put his hand in front of him thoughtfully.
Dante: "Let me think about it," he said, looking up at the sky, then began to look around.
The battle between Jack and Dante resonated throughout the castle, causing everyone to go to where the battle was taking place, including a spectator watching Dante, King, and Queen secretly talking from afar.
This person wanted to see the coming battle, wanted to see everything, from beginning to end.
They had already been waiting for five minutes for Dante to give an answer, but he kept staring at the horizon, thinking. This annoyed King a little and angered Queen, who started screaming.
Queen: "What the hell are you thinking so much about? Are you going to join the crew or not?" she said, almost shouting, also hoping he would join to avoid fighting.
Dante: "Oh, sorry, I was thinking I was going to have dinner later when I'm done with all this." This angered both of them, especially Queen.
King: "So what, are you joining us?"
Dante: "Really," he said as if that question had never arisen before, further frustrating King, who was holding his sword tightly. "The answer is no," he said flatly.
Queen's eyes turned red; forgetting about being able to kill him, he wanted to destroy Dante. King wasn't that far from Queen, but he controlled more than his partner.
At that moment, Jack arrived, his jaw a little bruised from Dante's grip before he threw him while transformed, but still within reason.
In front of Dante were the three future disasters, the three strongest pirates of the Beast Pirates, second only to Kaido himself.
King wasn't entirely sure of his victory. He knew of Dante's strength; he'd trained with him for almost six months, using only Haki. Now fully unleashed, he didn't know if he was stronger than him, and deep down, he knew the reward of 4,000,000,000 Berri was a joke.
But with Queen and Jack with him, he thought he might have a chance.
Dante: "I was getting bored with the appetizer; let's start with the main course," he said, spreading his wings fully, transforming his body into a black energy that completely covered him. His facial features disappeared along with his eyes, appearing instead as a glowing blue aura; his hair turned snowy white, Victorian-Gothic armor appeared, and finally, a full-face mask of a horned skull.
He extended his hand into the air, and that glowing blue aura reappeared from his body, transforming into a long scythe. Once formed, she turned it around and, upon stopping it, got into a fighting stance.
Dante: "For the patience you had in receiving me here, let me not hold back; that way I won't insult you by not using my full strength. With that said, the show begins."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had planned to finish the entire fight in this chapter, but in order to give more flavor to the situation and life to the scenes, they dragged on, and I realized the chapter would be too long. At first, I thought about making this chapter long, but tomorrow something might happen that would prevent me from writing, and I still wouldn't be able to upload a chapter, so I'll leave it here and upload it.
It also took me a while to upload it because I couldn't remember the fighting style of Jack, Queen, and King, so I started watching the series during their fights yesterday. The irony is that I didn't get around to writing the fights in this chapter.
I'd also like to let you know that tomorrow I'll be updating the character list, including each one's reward, something I haven't mentioned in the fic, but I can add it there.
Well, that's what I wanted to say; without further ado, see you.
