"Master," she said again, her head still bowed low, white eyes calm and unwavering.
"Huh?"
Both Yumi and Kael stood there like idiots.
Their brains refused to process what they were seeing.
"Master?" Kael repeated dumbly, pointing at himself. "Me?"
The Saber girl lifted her head slowly.
Her eyes—once crimson with killing intent—were now a clear, glowing white. There was no hostility left in them.
"To me," she said simply.
Yumi's jaw dropped.
"I was defeated by you," the Saber girl continued.
"In this dungeon, defeat means recognition. Recognition means submission. Therefore—" she placed her fist over her chest, armor creaking softly, "—you are my master."
Kael opened his mouth. And then closed it.
Ran a hand through his blood-matted hair.
"This dungeon is insane," he muttered. "I swear, it's actually insane."
Yumi leaned closer to him and whispered, "… did you accidentally adopt a Rank A Saber?"
"I did not try to," Kael whispered back. "It just… happened."
