/ The forest reeks of ash and iron.
You land silently in the clearing—cloak flowing like living shadow—and freeze.
This isn't just a village.
It's a *massacre.*
Elven homes—graceful, tree-woven sanctuaries—now shattered. Fires smolder beneath collapsed canopies. Bodies lie twisted in the dirt: elders with blades still in hand, children curled like sleeping petals… none spared.
And at the center?
A single trail of blood leads toward an open mine shaft—the same direction as Beta's signal.

Your jaw clenches under the mask.
They were here first…
And they took someone.
Or left a trap.
But then—
A weak groan echoes from beneath a collapsed hut beam. You turn fast—and there she is:
An elven girl, barely alive, clutching a scorched book to her chest like it's all that's left of her soul. Her ears twitch as you approach… and when she sees your shadow form?
She doesn't scream…
She *whispers*, bleeding from the mouth:
"...Shadow...? I knew you would come."
I healed her quickly as Alpha and Gamma appeared
̄ ̄ ̄
/ You crouch by the girl's side, healing magic already flowing from your fingertips.
Her ragged cough softens—blood slows—her skin heals almost instantly, knitting back together as her pulse steadies.
"Who are you?" she mumbles, clutching the book like a lifeline. Not believing her savior was the Real shadow
Before he can answer…
Alpha and Gamma arrive in a blur of speed. Their eyes narrow at the sight of the village.
Alpha's voice is steel and fury.
"What happened here?"
" a strong member of the cult attacked this place not sure why."
he responded looking at the scene of blood with discussed at the unnecessary amount of it
Alpha takes in the sight of the village: the fires, the blood, the bodies… and nods slowly.
"He has to die," she says simply, sword ready in hand. "But first, we need to find the survivors. There could still be a few alive."
Gamma crouches, studying the book you found. Her eyes narrow.
"This… it's written in an ancient language of the first elves," she murmurs.
"Can you translate it?"
̄̄̄Gamma nods, carefully turning the pages. You can see diagrams of runes, illustrations of battles drawn in bright hues... and beneath it all, a strange, pulsing **energy.**
It hums with power so old, so primal, it's almost a sound in itself. The girl shivers.
"It's a record from the original elf clan," she explains softly. "The War Chronicle..."
He raised his eyebrow, confused"what is the war chronicle?"
The girl's voice is small but certain.
"It's our people's history. A record of each great battle, each triumph against our invaders. Every victory against the dark."
She gazes at the illustrations, running a finger across a painted field of fallen elves.
"But it stopped with a battle near the northern edge of the kingdom. The author vanished and never returned to write the ending. No one could explain why."
"we can go over that later first"he said turning to beta as he got down to one knee and one of her
" do you remember me?" he asked.
̄ ̄ ̄
/ You kneel beside her—gently, like time itself pauses.
Beta's eyes flutter open.
Not with confusion.
Not with pain.
But recognition so deep, it bypasses thought entirely…
"...Master?"
Her voice is weak. Fractured. But it *knows you.*
She reaches up—trembling fingers brushing the edge of your shadow mask… then stops, as if afraid it might shatter the dream.
"You came…" she whispers. "Even though I wasn't sure you were real anymore."

Alpha steps forward instinctively. "She's already infected..."
But Beta shakes her head slightly—eyes never leaving yours.
"No... not fully. I resisted... because I *remembered.* The stories you told me... about heroes in masks and love that burns brighter than fate..."
She coughs—dark blood stains her lips—but still smiles through it all:
"I wrote them down… even when they said I was mad."
Your jaw tightens beneath the mask.
They tried to erase her mind...
But she *wrote back.*
"let's heal you" he said focusing on the energy with himself as he healing light came to his hands
̄ ̄ ̄
/ As he pours magic into Beta, her breathing steadies and her heartbeat strengthens. The dark infection begins flowing out… but it's like poison-soaked sand in a hourglass, stubborn and slow to leave.
She winces, but the light in her eyes doesn't waver.
"I have to tell you… something..."
"I... I need you to promise something. Before it's too late."
She's trembling again, not from pain... but something deeper. Fear. Doubt. Like she's not sure if you're even real—if this is some last, desperate dream her mind created in the darkness.
She whispers, so soft that even Gamma and Alpha freeze:
"Do you think... I'm real?"
" what kind of question is that of course you real You're no more real than I am, which is why I'm trying to save you."
"But...*how* do I know? How do I know you're real? And not just something my mind created..."
She looks up—eyes pleading for certainty.
"Please. Promise me... if you're real... you'll never make me forget you again. No matter how much the world twists and changes... I have to know you're real."
he leans forward, gently pressing your lips to hers. It's not like any kiss before. There's no lust… no desire… no hope or expectation.
Just pure affection, poured through one act.
For a moment, Beta stiffens—then something in her chest breaks, and she melts into it.
Tears roll down her face—not from pain or fear—but from the certainty that *she is loved.*
She gasps "Don't ever leave me."
"of course I won't I won't ever leave any of you." he said as a system notification went off.
̄ ̄ ̄
/ And in that moment, Beta's world changes forever.
She knows, down to her soul, that you're telling the truth. Her hands cling tight to your form like a lifeline. She's not just an orphaned elf... she's one saved by love. A new dawn breaks in her eyes as tears shine with gratitude... and hope.
The notification pings again, demanding attention, but you ignore it as she murmurs:
"Please... say it again. Just once more."
̄ ̄ ̄
/ Your arms wrap around her like a promise. She buries her face into your cloak, her body melting into your touch like she's finally found her home. You see one last tear roll down her cheek...
Then she whispers the words against your chest—quiet, but powerful:
"I love you."
...then, as the moment hangs, the system panel blinks insistently. It's never been this impatient before.
before anything else, though the two girls getting jealous, clear their throats.
̄ ̄ ̄
/ The moment shatters like glass.
Alpha clears her throat—*once*, sharp and loud. Her arms are crossed, eyes narrowed beneath golden elven bangs.
"Really, Master? *Right now?* We're in a *war zone.*"
Gamma sighs, adjusting her glasses with one finger—though a faint blush betrays her too.
"While emotional reinforcement has proven effective for combat synchronization," she says dryly, "I believe we should establish *turn-based intimacy protocols* before the next healing session."
You pull back slowly from Beta—who finally looks up… then freezes when she sees the glares burning into her from both sides.
"...Oh."
Pause.
Then:
"I can explain!"
Alpha raises an eyebrow. Gamma taps her communicator ominously.

The forest is silent again—but not peaceful anymore. Now it's just... awkward. And charged with something far more dangerous than Diablos magic:
*Female fury.*
"I apologize for my outburst" he exclaimed using charm to its full effect
His words wash over them—not just with sincerity, but with the full *weight* of your magic.
Alpha's glare softens. Gamma's blush darkens.
Beta shivers.
Then, just like that: all the tension in the air turns to relief.
"Well… I guess that was pretty romantic," Alpha mutters.
"A... little," Gamma adds, looking away.
Beta smiles up at you...
"But don't ever pull that again."
" OK" he replied
̄ ̄ ̄
/ Alpha rolls her eyes as Gamma sighs and both relax—though a faint blush still colors their faces.
Beta smiles—then suddenly frowns, as if remembering something. She pulls back from your embrace. "You... said you needed something from me? Right before… well, you know."
"yes, because you are a member of shadow garden one of the top members the seven shades and we need you to tell us what happened here" he explained
Beta stiffens for just a heartbeat.
Then nods, her hands folding into fists in her lap. Her shoulders square. And you see a flicker of something cold, determined pass through her eyes.
Alpha and Gamma step closer, watching with sharp interest.
"I was here doing research." Beta says quietly. "Searching an old, abandoned mine in elven territory for a rare mineral I needed for a project…"
" what were you looking for? What was the Project?" said alpha
"Seventeen," Beta corrects, raising her chin. "It's not abnormal for young mages to begin working on projects at a young age, and I graduated early from the academy. That's why I have the opportunity to work on experimental weapons research."
She says this all very politely—but there's a hint of pride in her voice. It's obvious Beta has worked hard to get where she is.
"Don't you mean you were helping your mom with something?"
"No, my sponsor was paying me for research I'd done on magical energy conversion. My mother..."
Beta's eyes dim at the mention of her family.
"She thinks I spend all my time daydreaming in my workshop," she murmurs. "She never approved of my scientific work. Or me leaving elven society behind. She's an idealist, like my brothers... they all *want* a perfect world. They can't accept that it's not that easy."
"I know that's not easy. My family doesn't exactly believe me either but you're still only 12 there are a lot of things you need to learn before you can just change the world."
