Chapter 26 - **Chapter 26: Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D**

[Special character Leatherface discovered. You can absorb the power of fate to gain rewards!]

Leatherface?

That must be the chainsaw killer hiding in the basement of the villa.

This Leatherface was even taller than Roy, and he was holding a running chainsaw.

"Run!"

Leatherface blocked their escape, so Heather could only clutch her chest and run upstairs.

As for Roy, he obviously had to face Leatherface head-on to buy Heather some time.

Pulling the trigger repeatedly, Roy emptied all the bullets from his handgun into Leatherface. However, even after taking over a dozen shots, Leatherface didn't even flinch, not even a wobble.

This guy's toughness is insane!

Seeing Leatherface raise the chainsaw high and bring it down, Roy quickly backed away.

He glanced at the handgun in his hand. 9mm Luger rounds – pretty weak.

If you watch American news at all, you'll see stories about criminals who get shot multiple times with 9mm bullets and still manage to fight back.

And Leatherface was definitely much tougher than those criminals, so 9mm bullets naturally had no effect.

Alright, let's try .45 ACP bullets!

Roy drew his gun and fired in an instant, hitting Leatherface in the head with one shot. Leatherface stumbled back several steps from the impact, but he still didn't fall.

So, .45 bullets have some effect!

But the caliber of the Smith & Wesson M625 revolver still wasn't big enough. If he had a larger caliber gun, like a shotgun, maybe he could take Leatherface down with a single shot.

Looks like bigger is definitely better!

Roy fired all the remaining bullets in the revolver into Leatherface's head. This time, the guy finally went down, and even the chainsaw fell to the floor.

However, Roy didn't get any system notification, which meant Leatherface wasn't dead yet.

"Roy, is it over?"

Heather cautiously peeked her head out from the second floor.

You could tell that Leatherface was probably a killer similar to Michael Myers. Killers in those older horror movies all had similar vibes.

They were either demon-possessed maniacs or some kind of deformed mutant – basically unkillable guys, though thankfully, physical attacks still had some effect.

"Quick, hide! This guy isn't dead yet!"

While Leatherface was still unconscious, Roy warned Heather and went to pick up the chainsaw.

Without a weapon, Leatherface's threat level would drop significantly, and Roy could take his time dealing with him.

There was definitely no way he could use fire against Leatherface this time. He couldn't just burn down the villa that Heather had just inherited, could he?

So, Roy wanted to try sawing off Leatherface's head with the chainsaw. If that didn't finish him off, then he'd have no choice but to lure Leatherface outside and burn him.

Roy pulled the starter cord and was just about to start sawing when two people suddenly burst in.

"Police! Drop your weapon now!"

It was Sheriff George and the officer from earlier that afternoon. George was holding a shotgun, and the officer had a handgun.

It turned out that Sheriff George was really concerned about the Sawyer family and had a bad feeling about things. After dinner, he brought the officer to the Sawyer estate to check things out.

As a result, they heard gunshots coming from the villa outside, so they immediately went inside with their weapons drawn and saw someone holding a chainsaw high, looking like they were about to do something.

Now, at this point, George was too far away to see that the person holding the chainsaw was Roy, but thankfully, he didn't shoot right away.

"Sheriff George?"

"Roy?"

Just as Roy turned his head, Leatherface on the ground suddenly woke up, grabbed Roy's leg, and flipped him over.

Roy reacted incredibly fast. While protecting himself, he threw the chainsaw away.

Partly to avoid accidentally hurting himself, and partly to prevent Leatherface from getting his signature weapon back.

Leatherface with a chainsaw and Leatherface without a chainsaw were two completely different threats.

Even though the situation was unclear, on one side was Roy, the good kid they knew, and on the other side was a weirdo wearing a creepy leather mask.

It was pretty obvious who they should trust.

"Let go of Roy!"

Leatherface did let go of Roy, but he used Roy's leg to swing him into the wall before getting up and heading for his beloved chainsaw.

"Fire!"

Sheriff George and the officer both shot at Leatherface at the same time. The shotgun had some serious stopping power, and Leatherface stumbled.

However, the officer was probably a little nervous, and his handgun shot went wide, shattering a decorative vase next to Leatherface.

Leatherface glanced at the broken pieces of the vase, then suddenly let out a furious roar and picked up the chainsaw, charging wildly at the officer.

By this point, Sheriff George's shots at Leatherface weren't having any effect anymore. Leatherface seemed to have gone into some kind of rage mode.

The young officer had never seen anything like this before. He seemed frozen in fear, not shooting or even trying to dodge.

Luckily, Sheriff George was older and more experienced. He shoved his subordinate out of the way, preventing him from being instantly cut in half by Leatherface.

Then, the two of them retreated out of the villa while firing their guns. The enraged Leatherface seemed to have fixated on the young officer and kept chasing him relentlessly.

Inside the villa, Roy was almost knocked unconscious by Leatherface's throw. Thankfully, he was tough enough to recover.

"Roy, are you okay?"

Heather, completely forgetting about her exposed chest, ran downstairs and helped Roy up.

"Didn't I tell you to hide?"

"But, I was worried about you!"

Seeing the worry and concern all over Heather's face, Roy couldn't bring himself to say anything more.

This woman was truly both silly and innocent, but she had definitely given him her whole heart.

Roy kissed Heather on the mouth and gave her... well, let's just say a firm squeeze.

"Ugh!"

"Be good! Go upstairs and hide. Leave everything else to me. I'll be alright!"

Heather nodded, her face red, and then ran back upstairs.

Roy stood up and loaded the Smith & Wesson M625 revolver, then went into the kitchen to see if there were any melee weapons he could use.

The first thing he saw in the kitchen was Dale's corpse. That guy had been sawed in half at the waist by Leatherface's chainsaw and was completely dead now.

Then, Roy noticed an open secret door that seemed to lead to a hidden basement.

Roy remembered the movie plot. Leatherface usually lived in this basement and would only come out at night to look for food.

And Dale was just unlucky enough to run into Leatherface when he came upstairs to collect the tableware, and then he was split in two.

Roy entered the basement and found an iron bar. It should be able to hold off the chainsaw for a bit.

However, when Roy returned to the ground floor, the commotion outside the villa had stopped. He didn't know if the two policemen had been killed or if Leatherface hadn't managed to catch them.

He heard footsteps coming from the living room. Roy immediately equipped the Ghostface mask from his inventory and hid in the shadows.

A moment later, he saw Leatherface dragging the unconscious Ryan, Kenny, and Nikki towards the basement. He even dragged away Dale's dismembered body.

He didn't see the two policemen, which meant they had managed to escape. That was good news, as it meant there would be backup coming later.

Roy grabbed the iron bar and followed Leatherface. He went through a door in the basement and found himself in a room that looked like a slaughterhouse.
