"Does it really take 100,000 energy points for Ais to undergo angelic transformation?"
Leon narrowed his eyes, gazing at the faintly glowing Angel Reincarnation Pool floating silently in the depths of his system storage.
"The magic stone that sells for 10,000 Valis only converts to 10 energy points? That means I'd need magic stones worth 100 million Valis?"
He blinked. "That's… honestly not that expensive."
Murmuring to himself in the quiet of the room, Leon calculated silently.
Since he wasn't sure how much energy Ais's transformation would require, he had taken a drop of her blood earlier and offered it to the Reincarnation Pool.
The system responded that it would require 100,000 energy points to reincarnate Ais into an angel. Then, for testing, he tossed in a magic stone from a Lv. 3 monster, one valued at 10,000 Valis.
The pool absorbed it and returned only 10 energy points.
In other words, he needed ten thousand of those stones—amounting to a neat 100 million Valis.
A ridiculous number for most adventurers.
But for Leon?
It was pocket change.
At this point, Leon's assets stretched into the billions. He rarely even spent a fraction of it.
For any first-class adventurer, especially one like him, such a sum was far from unreachable.
Even Ais, if she descended into the deeper levels of the dungeon with a supporter in tow, could likely gather that amount in ten days to two weeks. If she dived further, it might only take a few days.
"…I'll tell Ais about this tomorrow and have her collect the magic stones herself." Leon mused, fingers tapping his arm.
Initially, he considered covering the cost himself. But then again, he wasn't trying to make Ais his subordinate. She was his friend.
Letting her gather the magic stones herself might be more respectful and help her accept it better.
Still, even if he didn't view her as a subordinate now, once he ascended to godhood in the future, he had every intention of bringing her to his side.
After all…
She was his angel.
"…Since I'm already using the Reincarnation Pool, maybe I should ask Tione and Tsubaki as well."
His gaze turned sharp again.
"If they're willing, I'll prepare to reincarnate them too."
Once he'd made up his mind about Ais, it was only natural to think ahead. The Angel Reincarnation Pool wasn't limited to just one person. If Tione and Tsubaki also became angels, their growth potential would explode. They'd become even more powerful.
Of course, the prerequisite was their consent.
If they agreed, Leon would head into the dungeon himself and collect all the required magic stones.
Unlike with Ais, he wouldn't let Tione and Tsubaki mine the resources. They were his women—he'd take care of it himself.
With that, Leon didn't hesitate any further. He quickly got into action.
He rose to his feet and headed straight toward Tione's room.
Outside the door, he could faintly hear the murmur of voices. Tione and Tiona were chatting.
He raised his hand and knocked gently.
The whispers stopped at once.
A moment later, the door creaked open and Tiona's head popped out.
"Leon…?" She blinked in surprise.
"Tiona!?" A louder voice came from within.
And with a whoosh, Tione practically teleported from the bed to the door, excitement blazing in her eyes. "Leon!!"
Leon nodded calmly and said, "I have something I need to speak with Tione about."
The moment those words left his mouth, Tiona raised a brow and smirked meaningfully.
Tione, meanwhile, flushed red and clasped her hands awkwardly in front of herself, the tips of her ears twitching in embarrassment.
"Leon… we're at an inn, remember? The walls are super thin. Can't this wait until we're back in Orario?"
Leon: "..."
What the hell are you talking about?! Who said anything like that?
His lips twitched.
Not to mention, weren't the soundproofing conditions back on the 50th floor even worse than this? And yet, that didn't stop her one bit.
If it weren't for his use of dark magic to isolate their tent from the surroundings back then, they absolutely would've been heard.
"Stop overthinking it. I really do have something serious to discuss." He said flatly, brushing aside the awkward air.
"…Eh? S-Serious?" Tione mumbled, her face reddening further. "O-Okay… I'll come with you."
Realizing her misunderstanding, she quickly nodded, embarrassed.
Tiona still seemed amused, said, "Hehe~ then you go. But remember to come back early, alright?"
Waving goodbye with a teasing grin, she watched the two of them leave.
Once Leon and Tione were alone, he brought her into his room.
"So… Leon, what's so important that you came to me this late?" Tione asked, tilting her head curiously.
Leon didn't waste any time. After establishing a World Contract between her, he laid everything out—his abilities, the Reincarnation Pool, the angelic transformation, and the price.
Tione's eyes gleamed brighter with every word.
"So… if I undergo this 'angelic reincarnation,' I'll be completely bound to you? Like… bound to you you?" Her voice was trembling with excitement, pupils sparkling like stars.
"Yes." Leon answered, nodding without hesitation.
"I want it!! I want it now!!" Tione threw her hand up in the air like a child claiming candy, her entire body trembling with joy.
Leon chuckled softly and said, "Alright. I'll start collecting the magic stones. Once I have enough, I'll reincarnate you."
He gently reached out, tousling her hair affectionately.
"Mm!!" Tione beamed, nodding repeatedly like an eager puppy.
Then something seemed to occur to her as she said, "By the way, Leon, could you… could you reincarnate Tiona too?"
She looked at him seriously and said, "I want her to be with us."
Leon said without hesitation, "Of course. If that's what you want, I'll do it."
"…Hehe~ Leon, you're the best!!"
Unable to hold herself back, Tione launched herself into Leon's arms, burying her face in his chest. Her voice was soft, but full of emotion.
Then, still leaning against him, she whispered, "Leon~"
"Hm? What is it?"
"I'll stay with you tonight, okay?"
Leon paused.
"…Sure."

Meanwhile, back in the room they left behind, Tiona lied in bed, staring blankly at the ceiling.
The bed beside her remained empty.
Her cheeks puffed in a pout.
"She said she'd come back to sleep…"
"…Tsk. Whatever. I am not waiting anymore."
"I'll sleep!"
