"Reincarnated as an angel?"
Riveria's eyes widened in surprise after hearing Leon's story. "Ais is really obsessed with strength."
Leon nodded softly. "I was hesitant at first too."
"After all, when she reincarnated as an angel, the spirit blood inside her vanished."
"But it's not truly gone." Leon explained. "At least, it transformed into her strength."
Reincarnation as an angel meant that whatever blood once flowed within her would disappear, replaced by the essence of an angel.
In other words, half of the spirit blood in Ais's body faded after her rebirth.
Yet it wasn't completely lost. Ais's wind attribute power likely stemmed from that spirit blood.
Riveria sighed. "I underestimated just how deep Ais's obsession goes."
"That's the only link between her and Aria." She said thoughtfully.
"But beyond that blood bond, Ais craves strength — the power to avenge Aria."
"Because no matter how important the blood connection is, as long as Ais remembers Aria, their bond won't break."
"But what drives her most is vengeance."
Leon continued in a calm tone, "Since reincarnating as an angel, Ais's potential has multiplied many times."
"The stats of Ais, Tione, and Tiona will rapidly increase."
"If they perform great deeds, they could quickly reach Lv. 7."
"That's good." Riveria nodded.
"It's a pity for me. I'm not like them. Otherwise, I'd want to find you and reincarnate like Ais and the others." She added with a trace of regret.
Leon chuckled. "You and Lefiya can't be reincarnated."
In Loki's familia, the only members who could be granted reincarnation quotas besides Ais and the others were Riveria and Lefiya.
Though Leon shared good relations with others, it wasn't to the extent where he could reincarnate them.
Riveria and Lefiya's situations were special and made reincarnation impossible.
Riveria hailed from the elf royal familia, a symbol of their entire lineage.
If she were to reincarnate as an angel, the other elves would likely erupt in chaos.
Lefiya, meanwhile, wielded the magic, Elf Ring, which depended on magic from her own familia.
If she reincarnated, that magic would lose its effect.
Though the benefits of reincarnating as an angel might not be lower the power granted by the Elf Ring, Lefiya wouldn't give up her identity as an elf just to become an angel.
What Leon didn't know was that with the disappearance of the spirit blood in Ais, a certain being deep within the dungeon had gone berserk.
After their brief chat, Leon left Daedalus Street and returned to the library. But on the way back, he unexpectedly ran into someone he hadn't seen in a long time.
"Naaza, are you buying materials?" Leon asked.
Since growing stronger, he rarely needed potions, still having more than half of the physical and magical potions he had bought earlier.
So he seldom visited Miach's Blue Pharmacy, and hadn't seen Naaza since Apollo's banquet.
"Long time no see, Leon." Naaza greeted with a gentle nod, holding a bag of medicinal herbs.
Leon nodded back, and the two began walking side by side.
"It's only been a few days, but you've become the strongest adventurer in the city." Naaza remarked as they walked.
"Leon, your growth rate is terrifying."
"You flatter me." Leon smiled.
"A long time ago, I dreamed of becoming a powerful adventurer too. But that's all in the past now."
Naaza's eyes briefly clouded with nostalgia as she looked at Leon, whispering softly.
The memory of Naaza's monster PTSD surfaced in Leon's mind—her psychological shadow that made her unable to face monsters, cutting short her adventurer's path.
"Naaza, do you want to return to the adventurer's path?" Leon asked sincerely.
"I thought about it." She nodded honestly, "But I gave up because I couldn't overcome that barrier."
Previously, Miach had wanted to ask Leon for help—to take Naaza into the dungeon.
With a powerful adventurer like Leon by her side, her fear of monsters might lessen.
At the time, she considered it carefully, but ultimately failed at the first step and declined the kindness.
"Do you still want it?"
"If you want, I can help."
Leon's words surprised Naaza, then brought a small smile.
She hesitated, then asked softly, "How will you help me?"
Truthfully, Leon's offer stirred excitement within her.
Miach's words weren't unreasonable, and Leon's strength inspired security. His offer eased her fear of monsters just a bit.
"As long as you want, I can help."
"Whatever you wish, I'll do."
Leon's tone was firm.
If Naaza agreed, Leon could use the World Contract to directly erase her fear of monsters.
Fear was a thought, and his World Contract could change thoughts.
But Leon had never thought to use the World Contract so simply and crudely on those close to him.
If Naaza agreed, she would be the first.
