Chapter 519 - Chapter 519: Enrakyoten

Not long after, Rosse appeared in the storage room with Sung-Sun.

Calling it a storage room was more like a temporary space for keeping items.

The spirit particles here were solidified by Sung-Sun and the others, so everything could be preserved for much longer.

"Master, your spoils are all here."

Sung-Sun's voice was gentle and obedient. She lifted her arm elegantly, the wide white sleeve slipped down, covering half of her pretty face and revealing only a pair of green eyes, bowed respectfully as she indicated the floor ahead.

On the cold floor, two items lay quietly on display.

One was a cylindrical container that shimmered with a cold light, and inside were sealed portions of the spirit bodies of Hirako Mako and the others.

The other was a Zanpakuto casually placed there.

Its scabbard was plain and the wrapping on the hilt had dimmed in color. It looked ordinary, but it gave off a weighty, mountain-like presence, as if it were not a blade but a dormant ferocious beast.

This was the Zanpakuto Rosse had seen before, the heirloom Zanpakuto of the Tsuneyashiro family.

Enrakyoten.

Rosse walked forward slowly, gripped the hilt of Enrakyoten, and lifted it up.

The instant his fingertips fully met the hilt, a cold, greedy, crazed will filled with devouring desire surged up his arm.

That will formed an invisible vortex trying to extract every ounce of spirit energy from him, even to drain his soul dry.

This was Enrakyoten's trait. It continuously devoured its wielder's spirit and soul for its own use.

Any Soul Reaper below captain rank, even some seated officers, would probably have their spirit drained dry and become food for this murderous blade within minutes of holding it.

"Interesting," Rosse did not pull away. Instead, a playful curve appeared at the corner of his mouth.

The suction that could tear ordinary Soul Reapers apart was nothing more than a trivial tickle to him.

Not only did he not cut off the loss of spirit, he thought deliberately and guided his own pure and vast spirit like a floodgate opening, actively pouring it into the blade.

If Enrakyoten's devouring was a hungry stream, what Rosse poured in was a bottomless ocean.

Buzzz!

The previously silent blade suddenly emitted a violent, mournful cry, like a gluttonous ghost force-fed an entire whale.

Enrakyoten's body first bloomed with dazzling light, extremely bright.

Then tiny fracture lines appeared on the blade as if it were being stretched to the point of explosion.

But at the last moment, Enrakyoten stabilized and did not burst under Rosse's pressure.

After a short while, a brand-new Zanpakuto appeared in Rosse's hand.

The blade was no longer the color of ordinary iron. It showed a deep, abyssal black that seemed to absorb all light.

The earlier fracture lines had been transformed into countless veins running along the blade like molten gold, sketching out a gorgeous and eerie pattern.

Those golden veins shifted in brightness like living things slowly flowing inside the blade, granting the murderous weapon life.

The edge of the blade condensed into a hairline silver thread that radiated bone-chilling cold. Just looking at it made one feel as if their soul would be cut by its edge.

The change did not end with the blade.

The once old hilt had become renewed, the wood smooth and ink-jet dark, and the wrapping on it had turned into moonlight-like silver threads, harmonizing with the blade's black-and-gold tones and giving it an extremely noble appearance.

Most eye-catching was the once unremarkable tsuba, which now resembled a layered silver lotus in bloom, complex and exquisite in shape, with a faint mirror-like sheen at its center.

Only now did Enrakyoten show its true form.

Feeling the suction completely vanish and instead a joyful submission fill it, Rosse could not help laughing softly.

Compared to people, knives were indeed more straightforward.

Give enough, and they will truly accept you as master.

Rosse slowly raised Enrakyoten and whispered to himself:

"Break! Kyoka Suigetsu!"

Crack! Crack!

Under Sung-Sun's astonished gaze, the world before them fragmented like a kaleidoscope.

But after the shattering, the world seemed no different from before.

Still, Sung-Sun felt that the world before her was a little strange.

"Let's go."

Rosse's calm voice sounded. Sung-Sun had no other thoughts; she responded respectfully and followed Rosse out of the storage room.

After the two walked away, the storage room returned to silence.

But in a corner of the storage room, Rosse's figure still stood as if he had never moved.

The ones who had followed Sung-Sun out were only illusions of the Kyoka Suigetsu.

This was the greatness of Aizen's Zanpakuto, Kyoka Suigetsu.

Even though Rosse was using it for the first time, he could already bewilder someone as strong as Sung-Sun, who was the most powerful existence below captain.

Enrakyoten's function was neither many nor complex. It could even be said to have only one.

It could copy the abilities of any Zanpakuto.

Its Shikai could replicate other Zanpakuto's Shikai.

Its Bankai could replicate other Zanpakuto's Bankai.

As long as Rosse had seen a Shikai or Bankai, he could reproduce it.

Of course, that was its effectiveness in his hands.

In someone else's hands, at best it could copy some ordinary Shikai. Bankai would be out of the question.

To use Enrakyoten to perform those techniques, one must analyze those Bankai.

But analyzing a Bankai is not something ordinary people can do.

"Still, this is enough for now," Rosse said with satisfaction.

With this blade, there were endless ways to play.

By using Aizen's Kyoka Suigetsu, he could be anyone.

Besides, because Aizen had already buffed nearly all the Soul Society Soul Reapers with Kyoka Suigetsu, there was no need to apply it again. He could just use the leftover buff to control the senses.

Rosse slid Enrakyoten into his waist and walked toward the container holding the spirit bodies of Hirako and the others.

He was not an experimenter, but many roads lead to the same place.

Spirit bodies were essentially spirit particles, just as molecules and atoms make up matter.

His perception had reached the spirit-particle level, so by observing those spirit particles he could determine the condition of Hirako Mako and the others.

"A very exquisite design. The Soul Reaper's spirit particles are outwardly expressed, while the Hollow's spirit particles are sealed inside the Soul Reaper spirit. When needed, that part is called upon. When not needed, it is sealed."

In an instant, Rosse saw through the nature of these spirit bodies and praised the design.

No need to think hard. It was the work of Kisuke Urahara.

Being able to achieve this, it was no wonder many thought Urahara's research ability even surpassed Aizen's.
