Chapter 546 - Chapter 546: Not a Single Good Person

"Two-hit kill, huh? This ability is kind of interesting," Rosse let out a light laugh, still unhurried and calm.

Of course he knew Sui Feng's Shikai ability. He could even be one hundred percent sure that her two-hit kill was useless against him.

A Soul Reaper's battle was a battle of spiritual pressure.

And Soul Reapers, unlike Quincy who could rely on the reishi in the air, all fought with the reishi inside their own bodies. Spiritual pressure determined a Soul Reaper's upper limit.

To affect him at all, one would at least need the level of spiritual pressure that Kyoraku Shunsui had.

With spiritual pressure as thin as Sui Feng's, which only reached captain level when she used Bankai, she could never break through his defense.

"Captain of Squad Two, Sui Feng, stop all your actions!"

As the aftershocks settled, Byakuya Kuchiki finally arrived, very late.

Wearing his noble formal clothes, he stood not far from Sui Feng, right hand on his sword hilt, ready to move at any moment.

The situation here was clear with just one glance.

Obviously, Rosse stood on the Shiba side, and Sui Feng was the attacker.

It was impossible for Shiba Kukaku to blow up her own home and for Sui Feng to come over to stop her. Just the thought showed how impossible that was.

"Tch! You guys really came fast."

Sui Feng clicked her tongue, but she still didn't want to give up yet.

It was only Byakuya who came. She felt there was still a chance. As long as she used the two-hit kill on Rosse's arm again, she could quickly escape with Shiba Kukaku.

Right now, she had no other escape path.

Thinking this, Sui Feng immediately reacted, pretending to withdraw.

When Byakuya saw this, he frowned slightly and flashed forward, chasing after her in the direction she retreated.

Since he had arrived, he couldn't possibly let the culprit leave so easily.

But just as he appeared beside the wall, Sui Feng suddenly stopped and instantly switched directions, charging toward Rosse.

Her speed was so fast it became a blur, and she appeared beside Rosse in an instant.

Her second strike was about to stab Rosse's arm.

"You think your speed is fast?"

Smack!

Rosse struck without mercy, crushing all of Sui Feng's hope.

She didn't even see his movement clearly. She only felt her hand being grabbed.

"Bakudo number 61, Rikujokoro!"

Byakuya's angry voice sounded as six beams of light pierced Sui Feng's body and completely restrained her.

But that wasn't the end. Byakuya continued without chanting, "Bakudo number 63, Sajo Sabaku!"

Thick, serpent-like chains appeared from thin air, wrapping around Sui Feng and binding her tightly.

Being tricked right in front of him made even the always composed noble Byakuya lose a bit of his calm.

"You're caught now, Captain Sui Feng!", Rosse spoke teasingly, lightly pushing her hand away and letting her fall to the ground.

"Bastard! I really want to smash your mouth!", Sui Feng said angrily, still trying to struggle with her spiritual pressure.

"Captain Sui Feng, if you show even the slightest resistance to arrest, I will strike you down," Byakuya's cold voice sounded. He drew his sword and placed it at Sui Feng's neck.

With a blade at her throat, Sui Feng finally behaved.

Facing two captain level opponents while restrained by Bakudo, she knew she had no hope.

"Tell me, I'm begging you, tell me where that woman is," Sui Feng bit her lip and looked at Shiba Kukaku with pleading eyes.

Even now, she still wanted to know where Yoruichi was.

"She's in the world of the living, but you probably will never find her to take revenge," Kukaku gave two cold laughs and spat in Sui Feng's direction.

She wasn't some gentle person. If she were stronger than Sui Feng, she would have killed her long ago.

Destroying her entire family wasn't enough. She even came to her door to tear down her house. What kind of thing was that?

"Lady Shiba, mind your conduct," Byakuya frowned slightly and reminded her.

In his eyes, someone from the Shiba clan, one of the five noble houses, behaving like this truly damaged noble dignity.

"She came to my house to kill me and blew it up like this, and you want me to mind my conduct? Byakuya, you really are boring," Kukaku sneered and rolled her eyes at him.

"Don't call me that," Byakuya looked slightly embarrassed. That was the nickname Yoruichi used to tease him.

Since Kukaku was Yoruichi's close friend, she naturally called him the same way.

"Alright alright, enough about that. What do your Gotei 13 plan to do about what happened today?", Kukaku waved her hand, not wanting to waste time on names.

If they really counted by seniority, Byakuya would have to call her Aunt. She was from the same generation as Byakuya's father.

But Soul Society respected strength above all. If not for Rosse backing her, she would lose just by standing next to Byakuya.

"We'll handle it by the rules. I'll give the Shiba clan a fair explanation. First, tell us what happened tonight," Byakuya said calmly.

Sui Feng tried to attack Kukaku. That was already unquestionable. She even tried to fight him.

No matter what, Sui Feng's crimes would not be light.

"Well, now that things here are done, I want to hear what happened too."

"Count me in."

Almost at the same time, one frivolous and one gentle voice sounded.

Unohana and Kyoraku Shunsui appeared from different directions, though they kept an appropriate distance.

They had sensed the spiritual pressure fluctuations and came, but they didn't know the details.

Still, both Kyoraku and Unohana were inwardly leaning toward Rosse's side.

One look at the scene told them that the problem definitely came from Sui Feng.

Otherwise, Byakuya wouldn't be calmly talking to Shiba Kukaku while Sui Feng was tied up and dumped on the ground.

"Since Captain Unohana and Captain Kyoraku are here, then I'll explain what happened just now," Kukaku gave them a cold glance and began describing what happened after she returned home.

But her body remained pressed tightly against Rosse, clearly keeping her guard up toward Kyoraku.

"So that's how it was. You had just returned home and were attacked by Captain Sui Feng. She even wanted you to tell her where Yoruichi was. Then do you know where she is?", Kyoraku raised a brow and asked casually.

"Of course I know," Kukaku sneered inside. She knew this old guy was no good.

"She's in the world of the living. I don't know exactly where. Why, she's a wanted criminal in Soul Society, but even if she contacts me sometimes, that doesn't make me guilty, right?"

The nobles had extremely high authority in Soul Society. Even if they hid a criminal at home, at most they would be verbally reprimanded. They would never receive any real punishment.

Now it was only contact. It wasn't like they could imprison her for that.

Ever since she learned Rosse was from Hueco Mundo's Las Noches, Kukaku felt even more reassured.

Worst case, she would hand all the Shiba clan's heritage to Rosse and follow him to Hueco Mundo.

'With how rotten and filthy Soul Society was, Hueco Mundo might even be better.'
