Chapter 153 - Chapter 153: The Impact of The Garden of Sinners (Part 2)

"This… Did you write this script, Senior Edward? Is this your new movie?"

Gebrun's hands trembled slightly as he held the script, completely stunned by its contents. He stood there frozen for a long time, unable to recover from the shock.

Beside him, Chris was equally shaken. She never imagined that such a thin booklet could contain such rich and intricate storytelling. Her expression subtly shifted as she absorbed the depth of the plot.

Meanwhile, Edward simply smiled, patiently waiting for them to finish reading.

After a long while, Gebrun finally reached the last page—

Only to find the story suddenly cut off. His expression froze, then twisted into confusion.

"That's it?"

"That's it."

"And the rest?"

"I haven't written it yet."

"YOU'RE KIDDING ME! @#$%!!!"

Hearing the string of profanities burst from his technically younger but actually older junior, Edward merely chuckled and said calmly:

"I plan to shoot Steins;Gate as a full-length movie. After all, winter is coming, and the Empire's Frost Festival is one of the biggest celebrations of the year. I want to take advantage of that and launch an event called the Frost Film Festival. During this festival, I'll premiere The Garden of Sinners: Chapter 4, Fate/Zero: Chapter 2, the first season of the Konosuba TV adaptation, and this brand-new film—Steins;Gate—to bring some excitement to the cold winter days."

"HOLY SHIT!"

This time, it wasn't just Gebrun who lost it.

Chris, as well as the student council members who had been eavesdropping nearby, all shouted out in shock.

None of them had expected Edward to be planning something this massive.

To a group of passionate movie lovers, this felt like someone had just dropped a bombshell on their minds, leaving them completely dazed.

But Edward ignored their stunned reactions, continuing with a calm voice:

"Steins;Gate has a vast and complex story. Even after trimming unnecessary parts, it's impossible to fit everything into a single movie. So, I've split the script into two parts—

 Part 1: Steins;Gate – The Butterfly's Flap of Fate

Part 2: Steins;Gate – The Reversal of the Boundary of Time and Space

If the response is good, I might even follow up with an extra theatrical release as an epilogue. But that's something to think about later."

"This…"

Gebrun took a deep breath, stunned to realize that the script he had just read was only the beginning.

Then, with a sudden burst of determination, he turned to Edward and said:

"You're recruiting actors, right?"

"That's right. And more importantly, the lead male and female roles are still open. What do you think? Are you interested? As a special bonus, you'll get to see the rest of the story before anyone else."

"..."

The moment those words registered, all of Gebrun's hesitation vanished into thin air.

He grabbed Chris by the shoulders and shouted excitedly:

"Chris! Let's audition together!"

To this, the red-haired girl immediately rejected the idea:

"No way! I don't need extra credits, and I don't know how to act!"

Seeing that no amount of persuasion was changing Chris's mind, Edward quietly pulled her aside, leaned close to her ear, and whispered something.

A moment later, when they returned—

Chris's face was flushed red, and she nodded reluctantly.

"I— I agree."

"Huh? Why did you suddenly agree?"

Gebrun stared at Chris in confusion, but the red-haired girl simply rolled her eyes in annoyance and snapped:

"It's none of your business!"

"???"

As the awkward tension between the two lingered, Edward was already ecstatic, diving headfirst into the preparations for his new film.

At the same time, White, the student council president, quietly leaned in and whispered to him:

"Senior Edward, what exactly did you say to her just now?"

Edward smirked mysteriously and said nothing.

After all, he couldn't possibly admit that he had just whispered to Chris that Steins;Gate's lead characters have a kissing scene during filming.

Originally, he had only wanted to test the waters, but to his surprise, she actually fell for it.

Edward couldn't help but admire himself—his ability to read people was getting sharper and sharper.

Meanwhile, at the Edward Tavern...

While Edward was gathering actors for Steins;Gate, Juno let out a long sigh of relief after finishing a letter.

She carefully sealed the envelope and prepared to send it via carrier pigeon to the Beastkin Kingdom.

When it came to The Garden of Sinners, Juno personally loved it—she had been glued to the screen for two days straight.

But why did she love it so much? Even she couldn't quite explain.

She just knew that the story was captivating, and the battle scenes were absolutely stunning.

More importantly—

Unlike the previous films, this time she had no idea how to review it.

No matter how much she racked her brain, she couldn't find the right words to describe The Garden of Sinners.

The deeper meanings woven into the film? She had no way of analyzing them.

So in the end, Juno simply wrote down the entire plot of the first three episodes and sent it to the Oracle.

In her eyes, even though she couldn't comprehend the hidden depths of the film—

The greatest magic scholar of the Beastkin Kingdom surely could.

As Juno secured the letter and walked downstairs, she saw Belldia, Viz, and a few others chatting in the tavern.

The moment she appeared, Viz rushed over, on the verge of tears:

"Juno! I asked you to keep track of the books yesterday, right? This time, the losses really weren't my fault! Please help me explain to Belldia!!"

Seeing Viz's pitiful expression, Juno suddenly remembered—

Oh right, the accounting records!

She had planned to take care of it after finishing The Garden of Sinners, but…

The movie was too damn good, and she had completely lost track of time watching for two days straight.

Panic surged through her.

Without hesitation, she lowered her head and said:

"I'm so sorry! This was my mistake! I'll take full responsibility—deduct my pay, increase my work hours, anything! Just please don't fire me!"

"Uh… It's not that serious…"

Seeing Juno trembling in fear, Viz awkwardly scratched her head.

Belldia, standing nearby, had already cooled off and didn't seem to care much anymore.

Realizing that no one was actually blaming her, Juno breathed a sigh of relief.

She wanted to do something to make up for it, but delivering the letter was her top priority.

So, after bowing deeply in apology, she quickly left the tavern.

"That girl really doesn't seem like a bad person."

Viz commented, watching Juno leave.

Belldia, however, remained silent, offering no opinion.

To them, as long as the Beastkin girl didn't cause harm to humans, they had no reason to be wary of her.

But, If she ever harbored ill intentions, then…

Well, if you know, you know.

The four undead residing in the Edward Tavern were far from pushovers.

After all, the combat strength of the tavern was already among the strongest forces in the entire southern territory.

Meanwhile—

Juno eagerly released the carrier pigeon, watching as it disappeared into the sky.

She couldn't wait to hear what the Oracle would think of The Garden of Sinners.
