Chapter 172 - OPRJ: Chapter 172

As Zoro spoke, he drew his Wado Ichimonji. Cold light flashed through the street. The ancient blade exuded a fierce aura, but to Kuina, it was like a kitten—harmless.

He swung, sending a small gust of wind towards Ryuya. It was just wind, not even sword energy.

Kuina had sensed Zoro's movement the moment he drew his sword. Ryuya, with his peak Observation Haki, had "seen" it five minutes earlier.

Kuina snapped her fingers. Instantly, sword energy appeared in the air, engulfing Zoro's weak gust of wind before striking Zoro's chest.

"You're too weak. Too weak to even be worth killing," Kuina said, her words a blatant insult.

Zoro felt Kuina's overwhelming power. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't overcome her. Blood gushed from his chest, staining his clothes. Pain surged through his numb brain.

Zoro fell back, his eyes filled with resignation. He murmured, "Battle 2002: Failure."

Ryuya and Kuina had already left the street, seemingly unconcerned with Zoro's fate. However, Ryuya, remembering the "plot armor" of the original story, suspected Zoro wouldn't die.

Dark clouds gathered, and a light rain began to fall. Ryuya and Kuina disappeared from the island as if they'd never been there.

Ryuya said to Kuina, "I didn't expect you to be so mischievous."

Kuina looked flustered. "Master, you know what I was thinking?"

"Of course. You're my apprentice; I know your little schemes."

Kuina nodded seriously. "I wanted to test Zoro's potential. If possible, I want him to become Ace's subordinate."

Ryuya chuckled, "Who knows what the future holds?"

Kuina declared, "But I'll be your sharpest sword, Master, paving your path!"

"I appreciate that," Ryuya said, stroking her hair. Kuina smiled happily.

After buying fruit, they reached the Noah's Ark. Ryuya told the ship's spirit, "Sail as you see fit."

Enemies were unimportant; constant refinement was key to mastering the sword.

A day or two later, they spotted a ship with a heart-skull Jolly Roger approaching. The ship was pink.

"Kuina, is this ship in the bounty posters?" Ryuya asked, leaning on the railing.

Kuina checked the East Blue bounty posters. "Master, I found it! The captain is a girl named Alvida."

Ryuya's eyes gleamed. "Oh? Then let's approach that ship!" He addressed the Noah's Ark's spirit.

The wind chimes rang. The Ark accelerated dramatically.

Onboard Alvida's ship, she was sleeping soundly until the commotion woke her. Seeing her fleshy face, one could only feel disgust. She sat up and yelled, "Do you want to die?! You dared to wake the most beautiful woman on the sea!"

"Sorry, but a huge ship is charging towards us! If we don't change course, we'll be crushed!"

Alvida scoffed, "What ship? Just smash it!"

She came out of the cabin. Upon seeing the Ark, Alvida's soul nearly left her body.

"What is that?! You call that a ship? It's the size of an island!"

Without hesitation, Alvida ordered, "Turn around! Flee! As fast as possible!"

Everyone sprang into action. Alvida shouldered her club.

"Koby! Be quick! Or I'll throw you overboard!"

"Yes, ma'am, I'll be faster!"

Feeling calmer, Alvida ordered, "Throw all the alcohol overboard! Load the cannons! Reduce weight! Escape! Is that clear?!"

"Yes, Captain Alvida!"

"Yes, ma'am!"

Koby ran to the warehouse. He'd just retrieved a barrel and hadn't opened it yet. He decided to toss it overboard.

As Koby stood before the barrel, a figure in red, wearing a straw hat, suddenly jumped out, yelling, "That was a great nap!"

Luffy's sudden appearance startled Koby. He hadn't expected anyone to be inside the barrel!
