"I thought so," Kyle said.
Sebastian nodded.
After combining the clues, it was kind of obvious that the Array of Stars owned this world.
"What made you think so?" Magic Lady asked.
"The old Overseer," Kyle said. "I assume this world is supposed to create Standard Transcendents and send them up to the next one?"
"Very good!" Magic Lady said. "That is correct. Every Transcendent ascending from this Tertiary World arrives in one of our Ascension Portals. That means we are allowed to recruit them first."
"Mr. Freeman, what did the old Overseer do?"
"Well, she kind of made it so that nobody, aside from beasts, ascended. I would assume she does not belong to the Array of Stars, right?" he answered.
"Troublesome," Magic Lady said with a smile. "Saboteurs appear from time to time. We couldn't be sure that this Tertiary World was sabotaged, but we could see that it stopped producing Transcendents. Where is the old Overseer now?"
