Luc was so bored, confused and nervous. He had never felt this much emotions at the same time before. He looked at his side where Hunter portrayed what his name meant.
His face looked menacing, looking like a predator waiting to pounce on his prey, as he looked at the direction where Lyra had gone. He couldn't believe the girl had silenced him, telling him "Not now". Who the hell did she think she was?!
Finally, the door to the room opened and Vynnessa and Lyra walked out one by one. They came to where the other two stood. Vynnessa immediately hid behind Lyra upon seeing Hunter's face.
It was clear that the guy was really angry at the moment as his face was very unpleasant. His dagger like gaze was directed at Lyra who didn't seem to care as she rolled her eyes.
Hunter was once again rendered speechless by the witch's behavior. Did she not fear him? After all, he could roast her up with just the flick of a finger. He was considered one of the most powerful fire elementals in his generation which was why he had been invited numerous times to partake in Tenoria's guild. But he couldn't as Morvan wouldn't agree.
Seeing the witch rolling her eyes at him was an utter disrespect in his eyes. He was a senior bith in age and power but the witch treated him like he was but a mere human. He came to one conclusion, the girl was just too rude.
Lyra saw how Hunter's face kept on changing forms of expression, all showing rage. She knew the guy must be cursing her in his mind right about now. But she didn't care. Why should she?
She simply stated, " Instead of cursing me in your ever so small mind, you should be thinking of where you are gonna live". Hunter's head snapped back at her as he said, " I'm not leaving here. What if Father comes back? What then?"
Lyra simply chuckled, " I too hope for father to come back but we both know how that is far from reality". Hunter frowned at Lyra's words. How could she say such a thing?
He was about to refute when another feminine voice interrupted him, though this one was much more gentle.
Vynnessa spoke with caution seeing as Hunter was like a volcano that was about to erupt, " Plus, the dark witches already know this place, correct? They must have been watching you guys for quite some time now. Who knows of you are the next target".
Luc, though afraid, nodded in agreement. What Lyra said made sense. This Morvan guy sounded like a powerful figure and the dark witches seemed to know that. It was only logical for them to also come for Hunter, unless Hunter didn't possess whatever power Morvan did. But he should as he's his son.
Hunter frowned as he contemplated their words. They made sense. His safety was first. After all, his father would want him safe right? After a few minutes of hard contemplation, he said, " If I do go with you, where am I gonna live?"
Lyra smirked a little. She then said, " I've thought about that. I have a friend in Baragogh who might be able to help us with your current.... situation ".
Vynnessa and Hunter both frowned at the same time. Vynnessa said, " Isn't Baragogh in the West? In that kingdom full of brutes? What's the name?"
" Mara" Vynnessa replied. Hunter nodded. He was worried. He couldn't go to Mara. That place was known to be filled with people who looked civilized but acted like cave men. In all, they were brutes and Mara isn't exactly a place to take a vacation.
Lyra, sensing his worries said, " My friend isn't a native of Mara but he has lived there for a long time. He's a guy like you and usually likes to keep to himself. You guys should get along well. For now, we should go".
Hunter, though hesitant nodded, " I'll go and pack my bags". Lyra nodded and Hunter went upstairs to his room ri pack his things.
About fifteen minutes later, he came back down with a backpack and an average sized bag. Lyra stretched her hands to each sides and muttered something. A magic circle appeared and Luc seemed to notice it was the same magic circle he had used to get here.
Everyone there already skmrw what it was and each got on. Before going, Lyra snapped her fingers again and all the ritual stuff all packaged themselves in a small bag which Lyra handed to Vynnessa.
Vynnessa mouthed a thank you and stepped into the circle. Lyra muttered some words and the circle instantly disappeared, making it's way to Mara.
On the window at the far corner was a black crow with red eyes that watched the spot where Lyra and the others were before. It watched. For a moment before cawing. It flew inside, making it's way to Hunter's room to pick up a parchment which seemed to have been kicked under the bed.
Taking it in it's beak, the crow made it's way towards the broken door before flying away.
.....
On another side, a woman in a black flowing robe stood near a window while watching a crystal ball intently.
Her black nails trailed over the ball's surface as she stared at it with a smile on her lips.
On the crystal ball was the moving image of Lyra and the others disappearing with the help of the magic circle. And then, the movement of the crow who went into the house and came out with a parchment.
Currently, the crystal ball showed the crow flying in the sky with the parchment in its beak. The woman smiled, a smile which hid an evil intent.
Opening her lips which were painted black, the woman uttered the words, " Very good" before dropping the crystal ball on it's holder and walking away.
