Their D-Wheels tore down the track. As they passed a rescue squad, Kaiba spotted Angmar still ranting, demanding another duel with Jack. Kaiba scoffed.

"My turn!" Jack growled, drawing his card. His breath was tight, but beneath the pressure—excitement surged.
"I activate the Trap Card Falling Star Descent! I Special Summon one Synchro Monster from my Graveyard in Defense Position, its level reduced by 1 and DEF becomes 0. Its effects are negated, and it can't change battle positions. I revive Alpha the Electromagnetic Warrior!"

Jack slammed his fist to his chest, as if igniting himself. A dragon cloaked in flame, similar but distinct from his previous demon dragon, erupted in a blaze.

"It's here—Jack's true ace! The symbol of his soul—Red Dragon Archfiend!"
"An ATK 3000 DARK Dragon?" Kaiba didn't flinch. "Fine. Let's see it."
"I activate Monster Reborn! I target Alpha the Electromagnetic Warrior in the Graveyard—Special Summon it!"
The demon hound rose for a third time. Kaiba barely acknowledged it.
"OH OH OH! Jack's going all-in! If this attack lands, it's a whopping 4800 damage—our KING would seize victory!!"
The crowd roared. But would it really be that easy?
"Battle! Red Dragon Archfiend attacks Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"
"Overwhelming Power Smash!"
Red Dragon Archfiend lunged forward and swiped down with a massive claw, shattering Blue-Eyes to pieces.

The impact made Kaiba's D-Wheel wobble, costing him a Speed Counter.
"Next—Alpha's direct attack!"
"Fool!" Kaiba shouted, "I activate Counter Gate! When an opponent's monster declares a direct attack—negate the attack and draw one card! If it's a Monster, I can Normal Summon it face-up!"
"Sit, mutt."
Just as Alpha lunged, Kaiba raised his hand—Alpha froze mid-air. Kaiba drew.

"Ugh…" Jack's jaw tightened. He called off the attack.
"Turn end." He exhaled. "At end phase, Red Dragon Archfiend destroys all monsters that did not declare an attack. But Alpha already attacked—so it survives."
"Absolute strength, huh? Heh…"
Kaiba drew.
His hand was overflowing.
"I reveal one Blue-Eyes White Dragon from my hand—to Special Summon my new servant: Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon!"
A sleeker, sharper, silver-white dragon appeared, gliding alongside Kaiba's D-Wheel.

"This card can be Special Summoned by revealing a Blue-Eyes White Dragon in hand. And while it's on the field or in the Graveyard—it's treated as Blue-Eyes White Dragon."
"Ugh!" Jack felt its pressure, his breathing quickened. "But their ATK is the same!"
"You think just because your monster has 3000 ATK, it can stand equal to Blue-Eyes? Pathetic! I activate Burst Stream of Destruction!"
"Wait—that card has the same name as Blue-Eyes' signature move!?"
"If Blue-Eyes White Dragon is on my field, destroy ALL of your opponent's monsters!"
"WHAT!?" the MC howled. "Such a brutal effect!"
"Not so fast!" Jack snapped, flipping his set Trap, "Starlight Road! When a card effect would destroy two or more cards on my field—negate the effect and destroy it! Then I can Special Summon Stardust Dragon from my Extra Deck!"
With a strange cry, a white-winged, ethereal dragon descended from the sky, trailing stardust as it landed.

The elegant dragon spread its wings, dusting the track with starlight.
"That monster…" Kaiba narrowed his eyes.
"Starlight Road?" Yugo whispered, recognizing it on the screen. "Isn't that… Yusei's card?"

Jack exhaled deeply.
That card had saved him—nullifying Kaiba's massive play and summoning a powerful ally in Stardust Dragon.

For the first time, Kaiba's voice held emotion. He stood on his D-Wheel, pointing straight at Jack.
"To think you would DARE use that card to face me?"
"What!?" Jack's eyes widened.
"Foolish!" Kaiba snapped. "Utterly disappointing. That I let Blue-Eyes battle someone like YOU. You're not even on par with some sophomore running a Fusion deck!"
His words made the crowd turn, eyes locking onto one person—Hikaru Amagi.
Hikaru blinked.

But he knew what it meant. Everyone did.
