Chapter 9 - chapter 9

Back when he battled the Hellfire Club, Robert had never encountered anything so outrageous.

Confronted with Logan's skepticism, Robert merely smiled faintly.

"Isn't this quite straightforward?"

"For us Mutants, mastering abilities is as natural as eating and drinking."

"Perhaps I've undergone a second mutation; I'm not entirely sure."

Robert shook his head slightly as he spoke.

That's the advantage of being a Mutant—no matter how extraordinary your displayed ability is, it doesn't raise suspicion among other Mutants.

Because there are always Mutants with abilities even more astonishing than yours.

"Is that so?"

Logan was taken aback.

He felt that Robert's explanation was somewhat off, but he couldn't pinpoint the issue.

In the end, Logan could only sigh and attribute everything to Robert's innate talent.

Mutant abilities are inherently unreasonable.

Over the past century, he had witnessed countless strange and bizarre Mutants.

"Your talent is truly exceptional."

"Not many Mutants possess a second ability."

"Treasure your gift."

Logan patted Robert's shoulder firmly.

He then pressed the cigar into his palm to extinguish it, dusted off his pants, and walked away.

Robert watched his retreating figure and touched his chin.

This Wolverine didn't seem as aggressive as he had imagined.

Chapter 8: Omega Level? Still Too Weak

Superman's abilities are, in fact, quite similar to those of Mutants.

As he matures, his powers gradually manifest.

However, certain emotional stimuli can also trigger the mastery of his abilities.

The energy within Robert's body had accumulated sufficiently over the past few days.

Whenever he desired, he could harness the abilities that Superman possessed.

Since he needed it, he had now mastered Freezing Breath.

This is one of Superman's most formidable abilities, capable of extinguishing a star in space.

Even though Robert had only recently grasped it, the power he could unleash was already considerable.

Combined with his formidable mental strength, the effect was even more amplified.

However, compared to others' freezing abilities, Superman's Freezing Breath resembled a physical attack, relying on a powerful physique.

It directly manipulated and interfered with heat.

This differed from Iceman's ability to create frost out of thin air.

If there was no moisture in the air, his ability wouldn't produce frost but rather an extremely cold airflow, akin to the chill of space.

Frost was merely the appearance; low temperature was the essence.

In terms of power, it was not inferior to freezing at all.

Superman was indeed the most formidable existence in the DC Universe; any random ability he possessed was extraordinary.

Not to mention Heat Vision, X-Ray Vision, Flight, and other powers.

He was even more Mutant-like than actual Mutants.

"I should continue my training."

Robert felt a surge of excitement, picked up his small stool, and headed toward the lake behind the X-Men Academy.

Ding!

Daily check-in successful, obtained Energy +5

Upon seeing the check-in result, Robert nodded in satisfaction.

Daily check-ins improved his overall attributes, and occasionally, he would receive items, providing a steady source of benefits.

Basking in the sunlight, Robert began to fish leisurely.

Robert was fishing with great focus.

At the X-Men Academy, Pyro and Iceman Bobby were engaged in conversation.

"This is really frustrating. Why do we have to learn all this nonsense?"

"That guy doesn't even attend classes."

"It's unfair."

Pyro couldn't help but complain to Iceman Bobby.

As everyone knows, students often dislike school, but once they start working, they realize how wonderful school was.

Pyro was no exception.

Due to his family background, he had a more extreme personality, and when faced with things he disliked, he became even more irritable.

Initially, he could still endure it.

But now, with Robert, who didn't attend classes, Pyro suddenly felt a sense of imbalance.

"If you had the ability, you could do the same."

Iceman Bobby replied while reading a book.

Hearing this, a fierce look flashed in Pyro's eyes.

"Why wouldn't I have the ability? Isn't my power to control flames strong enough?"

Pyro said, igniting the lighter in his hand, causing a flame to float in his palm.

"Yeah, yeah, you're very powerful."

Iceman Bobby responded perfunctorily.

"Come on, can't you be more serious?"

"No, I can't take it anymore. Let's go teach that guy a lesson."

"He's from Xia Country; why should he receive special treatment?"

Pyro said angrily.

Pyro had a troubled childhood and an extremely radical personality.

He was also a prominent member of the Mutant supremacist group at the Mutant Academy and always looked down on others.

His decision to join Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants and work for Magneto reflected his character.

Originally, he looked down on Robert. Initially, when Robert hadn't awakened his abilities, Pyro could remain calm.

Now that Robert had suddenly become a genius and the center of attention, Pyro couldn't accept it. He was both jealous and resentful.

He felt that the treatment Robert was receiving now was rightfully his.

Using any excuse, Pyro planned to cause trouble for Robert.

Pyro stood up and walked toward the lake behind the X-Men Academy. Iceman Bobby was helpless but could only follow his friend.

Compared to an outsider, he had a better relationship with Pyro, and he also had some ambiguous feelings toward Pyro.

This made him reluctant to stop Pyro's actions.

The two of them teamed up and soon arrived at the lake behind the X-Men Academy.

When they arrived, Robert was sitting on his stool, fully focused on fishing.

Everything happening around him seemed irrelevant to him.

The more Pyro observed Robert's calm demeanor, the more irritated he became.

Pa! The silver-white lighter in his hand ignited, and a fireball appeared in his palm.

A mischievous smile appeared on Pyro's face, and with a flick of his hand, the fireball hurtled toward Robert. Watching the fireball, Pyro's face was filled with anticipation.

Just like those bullies in school, Pyro was merely seeking trouble.

Note: The story continues beyond this point, delving deeper into the confrontation between Robert and Pyro, as well as the evolving dynamics among the characters at the X-Men Academy.
