"Ah yes, it's a pleasure seeing you again, Haoran. It's been some time, hasn't it?" said the tribe leader of the Yellow Leaf Tribe.
Haoran gave a stiff nod of acknowledgement, but said nothing else, not willing to talk further with Valran out of wariness.
But the Yellow Leaf Tribe's leader chuckled at that action and did not mind. His eyes turned to Axel; he stared at the human with a long and piercing stare, as if examining him like a mere specimen.
Valran said with a smile, "I heard you wield quite strange abilities, human?"
Axel looked at the middle-aged looking elf. He did not answer, his eyes without a hint of emotion.
Valran scoffed, "Haoran, why don't you tell this slave of yours to lower his insolent gaze?"
Haoran, on the other hand, sighed, "Arlo, let's go."
Axel followed behind Haoran without making a scene, but he made sure to remember the faces of the Yellow Leaf Tribe's members for those offensive words.
