Chapter 13 - Chapter 9

Bonus Chapter 2/3

Soleil POV

I have never been so pissed off in my life. The amount of anger that is bubbling from within me surprises me a bit. So this is it. The side effect of being a descendant of the First King.

Pride.

So much pride. In myself, in my abilities and in my future. And for some illuminati ass bitch to punch me into the dirt.

No. This mongrel will survive this only on her knees or not at all.

I stood up from the debris that I was buried in and looked up at the flying brick. Alexandria. If I am right about the world it can only be her. Which means she would understand what I am about to say.

"Your gaze is too high, mongrel." I said as I watched her keep hovering in the air looking at me. I immediately used my magic to affect the area around us with times twenty gravity which caused my reinforced shoes to sink into the earth abit.

But the bitch.

She landed face first with a lot of momentum into the dirt. Easily at that. Under the same gravity I walked slowly adapting to this level of gravity and knelt down right next to her as she was visibly struggling to stand back up.

I could end her here but only if I used all my mana at once since she has relative invulnerability. To bypass it will take a lot of energy leaving me open to attacks.

No. I'll settle for fucking this bitch up until the gate finishes in seven days. Her and anyone else.

"Yes. That is the level your eyes need to be when you look at me, mongrel."

Alexandria POV

4 days later

Exhaustion. Something I never felt since that last day in a cancer ward. The last day I was just Rebecca the college student.

Since I became Alexandria I have never been exhausted even after facing Endbringers. Even after losing my sight to The Siberian even then I could still go on.

This man. This monster has been fighting me. For days on end with no sign of stopping in sight. Luckily I kept his attention on me as Legend and Eidolon kept on attacking the locals of this world.

If these are not even the true heavy hitters then we are lucky. Should we even migrate here. To a world were becoming like this is possible for everyone.

But we have no choice. Billions of people are already dead due to the apocalypse amd subsequent Endbringer attacks.

1 Billion. That is all that survived on Earth Bet. We failed our responsibilities. Allowee our people to get wiped out.

My responsibility. No I can't falter now. Not after how much I already have. The Invincible Woman they once called me. I have to hold the line till this stranger effect dissipates.

So we can carve out a place for ourselves in this world teeming with the supernatural.

"You are getting slower, mongrel. Soon I would figure out a way to bypass your invulnerability and kill you."

"You won't be the first or last to tell me this yet I am still here." [Came out as garbled words to Soleil but he got the intent.]

"Ahhh defiance. Good. I wasn't done with you yet!"

Golden circles appeared once more with swords firing at Mach Fuck that at me striking true and sending me crashing into the earth.

He appeared right beside where I landed with blue energy shimmering on his fist as he punched me on my face further damaging and disorienting me further sending me deeper into the depths of the earth.

"A protector! That was what you were meant to be!"

Another fist slammed into me further disorienting me. I fell in and out of consciousness quickly.

"A bastion against all evils. You were meant to save them!"

Yet another fist hammered into my face as I just lay helpless in the earth. How does he know this things. Isn't there meant to be some sort of stranger effect? A thinker? No… this world has magic.

Divination. He tried to divine my weakness but instead got my history. He knows me. Probably watched all my failures.

"But you were their greatest advasary instead. You allowed the villians grow. Outright helped them. Kidnapped people from other dimensions for experiments and deleted their memory when faulty!"

Another blow. Not just physically but to my pride. My convictions. The reasons I gave myself when I cried myself to sleep in those early days.

"You became the very thing you sought to destroy. You made their lives harder all for a less than 2% chance of survival! You crippled humanity. Stifled human ingenuity. You became an enemy of humanity!"

"I may not be able to kill you now,Rebecca but one day I will. Step out of line in the future and it would be me knocking on your door instead! So sayeth,Soleil. Descendant of the First King!"

There was a heavy pressure that released as he said that last line then darkness finally came.

(Sorry that it's short. Malaria really kicking my ass.)
