Chapter 258 - Chapter 258: Girl, Girl... You’re Really Getting Cocky, Aren’t You?!

(T/N:I think it's probably time to drop this fanfic. You can see why below. It's set in a Chinese universe with everything written in Chinese, and there's basically no information available about it in English. Honestly, I also find the Chinese names a bit hard to connect with, they just feel too unfamiliar to me. At first I could work around missing parts, but now it's deleting too much, and it's becoming unmanageable.

I really try to finish every fanfic I start translating, but this one has over 200 more chapters, and it's just not working out.

That said, I recently found a different fanfic with a simulator system, and I'm planning to work on that one instead. I think it's going to be a much better fit, and hopefully you'll enjoy it more too.

If you're bored, you can try "Naruto: Learning Ninjutsu in a Single Glance" if you like an overpowered MC, or "Starting From Being Adopted by the Second Hokage!" if you prefer slow power growth.

Sorry again if you liked the current one.)

Yamanaka Shinno noticed Reina stealing glances at the barbecue stand behind him, trying hard to act all serious with a straight face—but the corners of his mouth still twitched into a smile.

As one of the Three Divine Creation Projects, Light of the Sun, Reina possessed an indestructible divine body and the power to harness solar energy.

From the moment she was born, she was destined to become the next main god of the Flaming Sun Star.

But all the dark, cruel history of that star hadn't been passed down to her. At just twenty-three, she had yet to be beaten down by the brutal forces of the universe. She was still an innocent, naïve girl.

When dealing with Pan Zhen, she had a rebellious streak.

When facing enemies, she became the unwavering Light of the Sun, determined to fight to the bitter end.

When with comrades, she was the kind of reliable partner you'd trust to guard your back.

She always approached others with the utmost kindness.

There was a kind of adorably dumb charm about her.

But...

Her luck? Absolute garbage!

She was a certified magnet for misfortune!

All because of Regent Pan Zhen's mistakes back in the day—she got sent to support the Super God Academy, only to get bullied by the Monkey constantly.

Just when she'd started forming some solid camaraderie with the Xiongbing Company, Morgana went and blew up their home base, the Giant Gorge.

Ashamed to face her comrades, she roamed around aimlessly, only to get caught and used by Death Karl, who then banished Angel Queen Keisha.

This cheerful, noisy young goddess...

After all those incidents, the smile never really returned to her face.

But was it really just bad luck?

Shinno let out a soft snort in his heart.

She held the immense power of Light of the Sun, one of the Three Divine Creation Projects. But because of her predecessor's mistakes—and his dying wish—most of her power was sealed off. The real authority was handed over to the Elder Council and Regent Pan Zhen, leaving her with only basic abilities.

She couldn't access her own power.

Yet enemies could find ways to unlock it.

If she wasn't being targeted, then who would be?

...

Boom—clang!

The dormitory door behind Ge Xiaolun and the others was kicked open by Liu Chuang, decked out in black armor and wielding a Godslayer battle-axe.

Du Qiangwei, Rui Mengmeng, and Qilin also came rushing in, weapons drawn and battle-ready.

But when they saw the actual scene in front of them—

Liu Chuang scratched his head, bewildered, then glanced at Du Qiangwei.

"Yo, Qiangwei, this doesn't really look like a fight, does it?"

"...How should I know?"

Qiangwei frowned. She had only heard Reina yell 'enemy alert, call backup!'—so she immediately gathered the team.

How was she supposed to know what exactly was going on?

She brushed past Liu Chuang, shoved aside Ge Xiaolun and Zhao Xin, and stood beside Reina, facing the spatial gate and the unfamiliar figures beyond—Yamanaka Shinno and his group.

"Reina, what's going on?"

"Ah—right, uh, hey, Angel... and this handsome guy—where'd you two come from? What are you doing here?"

Reina was briefly stunned, only now realizing she'd forgotten to ask them why they were even here.

She quickly straightened up, putting on the commanding presence of the Big Sister of the Xiongbing Company.

But the quiet way she kept swallowing her saliva?

Ge Xiaolun and Zhao Xin could easily pick up on it.

Unfortunately for her, Yamanaka Shinno—who was leagues stronger than she was—noticed it immediately.

"Barbecue buffet," Shinno said, glancing at the fully assembled Xiongbing squad. With a tilt of his thumb, he pointed at the grill to one side. "Eat while we talk?"

"You're paying?"

Reina blurted out before she could stop herself—then felt a poke in the back from Qiangwei.

Realizing how out-of-character she sounded for a goddess, Reina quickly coughed and added, "Ahem, I mean... Let's see what your intentions are first."

With that, she strode into the spatial gate.

Qiangwei's eye twitched—was that what I meant?!

She was trying to tell Reina to be serious.

Not just think about food!

They had no idea who these people were, or why they opened a spatial wormhole inside Super God Academy.

And now Reina just blurted out a line and walked in?

As Qiangwei stood there, not quite sure what to do...

A voice came through the black-armor comms channel. It was General Ducao.

"Reina, Qiangwei—large-scale spatial wormhole activity and demonic energy just appeared in Huangcun, southwest sector. We suspect Morgana has arrived on Blue Star. Tell the Xiongbing Company to prepare for battle."

"This is Huangcun. Tell Ducao it's already dealt with."

Shinno raised his eyes and looked at Qiangwei.

Then he waved at the curious and slightly hesitant Ge Xiaolun and Zhao Xin.

"Xin—he's inviting us!"

Ge Xiaolun swallowed hard and glanced at Zhao Xin.

"What are we waiting for? Barbecue and beer—let's get in there!"

Zhao Xin jogged straight into the spatial gate, all smiles.

"Chuangzi, coming with?"

Ge Xiaolun threw an arm around Cheng Yaowen's shoulders, waving Liu Chuang over.

"Hot damn! Bro, you're a real one!"

Liu Chuang retracted his Godslayer battle-axe, gave Shinno a big thumbs up, and rushed into the gate.

Barbecue!

Since arriving here, it'd been nothing but nutrition packs every day!

The smell of those lamb skewers hit his nose and he practically drooled on the spot.

Qilin and Rui Mengmeng turned to look at Qiangwei.

When she nodded slightly after finishing a brief conversation with Ducao, they followed the others in as well.

However, none of them deactivated their black armor.

Clearly, General Ducao still didn't fully trust this mysterious man and the unknown angel.

...

"What's up with this village? Why's it completely deserted?"

Liu Chuang zipped over to the grill, grabbed a few skewers of raw lamb, and tossed them onto the coals.

As he grilled, he scanned the surrounding area.

Reina, Ge Xiaolun, Zhao Xin, and Qiangwei all looked toward Yamanaka Shinno, waiting for an explanation.

"When the demon battleship showed up, the villagers ran off. They'll be back once things settle down. No casualties."

"Damn, boss-level stuff right here!"

Zhao Xin cracked open a beer and offered a toast.

Shinno and Angels Yan and Azhui pulled over a bench and sat down.

With perfect timing, Azhui raised her hand and sent a packet of dark energy information directly to Reina—the only one among them who could manipulate dark energy freely.

"Wha—oooh~ Mr. Handsome, what's your name?"

Reina gasped in surprise.

She simultaneously uploaded the data back to Super God Academy via her black armor system while staring at Shinno, her eyes practically sparkling.

Her database was packed with information on Morgana and Demon One.

That demon queen was a main god-level threat—even Pan Zhen had to tread carefully around her.

But this guy... he'd effortlessly toyed with her like she was nothing!

And the kicker?

Her database didn't even have a single record of him!

"Dimensional Demon God. Yamanaka Shinno. From another world's version of Blue Star."

"A world? Not a planet or star system—but a world that transcends known universal dimensions?"

"Mm."

"We of the Flaming Sun Star believe in peace and prosperity. Angels are—"
