LOCATION: BLACKOUT ISLAND
PRESENT DAY
The peace of the night is interrupted by the roar and powerful stomping of a golden yellow lion with a mane made of bright yellow flames, it runs through the forest, burning the grass and smashing through trees in its way,leaving a scorched trail as it approaches a town in the distance.
Two men both in a white vests and camo trousers run after it.
One of them in a green beret and a golden medallion withb a golden yellow pendant yells:
"Rad, start maneuver five!"
"Without the others?"
"Just get started, the others will watch up."
The other man stares at the beast and his breaths become faster and shallower.
He stops in his tracks.
"Boss...that thing is way too strong...and I..."
The man put his hand on the others shoulder.
"Rad...I'm only asking you to do this becasue I trust in your ability, when will you start doing that too?"
His breaths slow down and he regains his posture.
"Dammit, you always know exactly what to say."
He rests his fist on Rad's chest.
"That's why I'm the captain. Now go stop that beast."
He interlocks his first two fingers with black lines tattooed on them and when they meet thenlines meet , they glow a white color, as he separates his hands a hilt of a katana appears in his right hand and a silver blade with electricity running through it appears after.
He swings the sword and a stream of electricity flies at at the lion, stunning it.
It turns around, growling and runs towards the man, he holds his ground as the lion swings its paw at him,he defends the attack with his sword, parrying it's heavy paw strikes as he struggles to maintain his stance,the strike is so powerful, his feet sink into the marsh beneath.
A pillar emerges between them, the lion tries to go around it but three other pillars appear around him and an invisible field appears between them preventing the lion from escaping, the inside of the field is suddenly filled with water and the lion floats, flailing around as its flames are put out.
"Nice of you to join us, Lok."
Rad mocks the slender dark-skinned bald man in only camo trousers meditating on a hill in the distance .The lines on his fingers and glowing blue.
"Just complete the maneuver, Rad..."
He responds.
Rad rushes to the pillars and pushes the blade into the field and electricity flows through it , creating bright bursts of eletricity but the lion still moves and starts to swim to the pillars, hitting its body against them causing them to crack.
It emerges from the trap, it's flames now brighter than before, it rushes towards Rad whose body is trembling but he steels his nerves remembering what his captain said.
"Come on...I ain't dead yet."
The lion leaps towads him but kunle slams against its body pushing it so hard, it's body smacks against a tree.
"That's the spirit, Rad!"
Kunle rubs his shoulder grins with his eyes focused on the beast. The lion shakes its head, ready to charge at him but a bolt of electricity hits it in the face making it recoil.
"Kunle...it's really annoying how you motivate us." Lok mutters with a smile.
He focuses and as his veins grow bright, the earth beneath the lion starts to shake and leave cracks and its feet sink in the cracks trapping it.
It roars,.thrashing about despite it's restriction but as its about to emerge a green smoke surrounds it.
A in a green tiki mask dpicting a face with eyes curves upward and a circle where the mouth should be stands before the lion eoth the moonlight shining on im., smoke emerges and covers the lion,making it weaker.
"Sorry I'm late guys."
Kunle rolls his eyesbat him.
"Thank younfor showing up to work today, Bang."
"What can I say? If not for me the King's pillars won'tbe as beloved. "
Loks muscles start to twitch as the ground beneath the lion starts rumbling and gradually becomes red hot.
"I can't hold it much longer....knock this thing out!"
Rad pleads
He claps his hands together joining the lines at the tips of each finger and a small metal cage with stone base, metallic edges and with a sturdy metal antenna at the top appears around the lion.
"It's now or never!"
Rad climbs on top feeling the lion bashing against the dome as he struggles to stay atop, he swings his sword at the antenna, conducting electricity through the cage and a green smoke fills the cage knocking the lion out.
Kun places the medal on the lion and creature dissipates into gold particles.
Rad falls back,breathing heavily.
"W...we did it..."
