Marineford, the Great Underground Prison at Marine Headquarters!
"Dang bang bang..."
"Dang bang bang..."
The crisp crashing sound of shackles echoed through the dark, quiet underground prison.
Two prison guards held a six-foot-long straight machete in one hand and the other end of the chain in the other.
They looked solemnly at Portgas·D·Ace sitting before them and said coldly,
"Stand up!"
Ace didn't say a word. He silently stood up and took a few slow steps forward.
"Crack!"
In front of the prison, a huge iron gate on the dark corridor was pushed open.
A dark passageway with no visible end appeared before him.
On both sides of the passage, guards were stationed every three steps, with posts every five steps, all filled with prison guards wielding long spears.
Recalling the past, Ace took a deep breath and slowly closed his eyes.
He stepped forward, continuing down the passage.
He didn't know how long he walked until another huge, heavy wooden door appeared.
Two prison guards in front of the door signaled to the guard escorting Ace.
The guard turned and pushed open the heavy door.
"Boom—rumble!"
Beyond the door was a long staircase stretching into darkness.
Ace didn't move at first.
Seeing this, the guard behind him pulled the chain and said coldly,
"Climb up!"
After a brief silence, Ace slowly stepped onto the endless staircase.
No unnecessary words were exchanged.
Throughout the prison, only the crisp sound of chains clinking echoed.
"Dang clang..."
"Dang bang bang..."
Ace, still under guard escort, was on the way to the execution platform.
Outside, Marineford Square!
Over 100,000 Navy soldiers waited in battle formation.
Five of the Seven Warlords of the Sea had arrived, standing in front of the Marine lineup.
Known as the world's greatest swordsman, Dracule Mihawk was among them.
Beneath the execution platform sat the three Admirals of the Naval Headquarters:
Admiral Aokiji, Admiral Akainu, and Admiral Kizaru.
Their presence immediately lifted the morale of the Marines.
A mighty cheer erupted like a mountain wave and a tsunami,
"Drink!!!"
At the top of the stairs, another wooden door appeared before Ace.
As it was pushed open, the roar of the crowd entered his ears.
He saw it!
The sea of people!
The 100,000 sailors gathered in Marineford Square!
And the execution platform he was about to step onto!
Escorted forward, Ace slowly walked toward the platform.
Seeing him, the Marines whispered among themselves,
"He's the one... the man who might ignite the fuse of a world war!"
One Marine nearby added,
"At the same time, he's the main culprit controlling the fate of the world!"
In their eyes, Ace was the master culprit controlling the world's fate because behind him stood a giant capable of shaking the world:
The Four Emperors' Whitebeard!
As Ace reached the execution platform, Marine Headquarters Marshal Sengoku slowly approached.
"Bring the Den Den Mushi bugs!" Sengoku ordered quietly.
Soon, a prison guard handed over a Den Den Mushi.
Sengoku took it and approached Ace's side.
Looking down at the 100,000 sailors below, Sengoku spoke deeply,
"There is something I want to say to you in advance, Portgas·D·Ace!
About the significance of your death here today."
After a slight pause, Sengoku said in a deep voice,
"Ace! Tell us your father's name!"
Everyone present looked puzzled.
Ace glanced briefly at Sengoku beside him, then closed his eyes and said in a deep voice,
"My father is Whitebeard!"
But Sengoku immediately refuted him,
"Wrong!"
Ace roared back,
"That's not wrong!
Only Whitebeard! No one else!"
Sengoku didn't argue but instead explained,
"We have searched desperately!
Searching for any child that man might have left behind!
We investigated newborns, babies about to be born, and their mothers!
But nothing was ever found."
"That's understandable!
Your birth cost your mother's life!
She deceived the eyes of the world!
There's an island called Baterilla in the South Blue, and your mother's name was Portgas D. Rouge!
Her actions were beyond common sense!
She carried you in her womb for 20 months!
And when she gave birth to you, she died exhausted on the spot!"
"One year and three months after your father's death...
The baby of the world's most infamous bloodline was born!"
Sengoku looked seriously at Ace and said,
"That's you. There's no way you didn't know."
Ace closed his eyes tightly, lowered his head, gritted his teeth, and said nothing.
Sengoku ignored this silence and continued loudly,
"Your father is...
One Piece's Gol·D·Roger!!"
Meanwhile, Sabaody Archipelago.
Area 33, where the Kamui Pirates' ship is berthed.
On the deck, Kronos unfolded a chart and pointed to the location of Marine Headquarters near Marineford.
He handed the chart to Beast Dao Payne.
"This time, please make the first trip!"
"Understood." Beast Dao Payne took the chart and responded.
He immediately summoned Yatagarasu!
"Boom!"
With a loud bang, thick white smoke rose.
The figure of Yatagarasu rushed out of the fog and let out a cry into the sky,
"Cry!!"
Beast Dao Payne jumped on the back of the eight-winged hawk.
Yatagarasu flapped its wings violently.
One man and one beast broke through the air with a whistling sound, galloping away at full speed.
"Boom!!!"
Yatagarasu was huge, but limited in carrying capacity.
It couldn't carry the entire Kamui Pirates.
So Kronos sent Beast Dao Payne ahead.
Waiting until he arrived at Marineford Headquarters.
Kronos would use him as a coordinate to expand his ability to break through the void.
To lead the entire Kamui Pirates to the battlefield!
The Summit War would be overturned today!
The prestige of the Kamui Pirates would echo throughout the world!
