On the sea, Shark Star glared at Kronos with cold, disdainful eyes.
He gritted his teeth, his heart filled with fury.
This is Fish-Man Island!
This is mermaid territory!
Mere humans... mere pirates!
How dare they repeatedly violate Fish-Man Island and even offend the royal family?!
"Damn it!!!"
"Don't get too full of yourself, human!!"
"This is Fish-Man Island! Our territory!"
With a furious roar, Shark Star waved his trident and shouted:
"Nautilus Troops!!"
With his command, a chorus of firm voices echoed from the royal cruise ship.
"Yes, Your Highness!!"
One after another, soldiers wearing nautilus-shaped helmets and armed with spears jumped down from the cruise ship.
"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"
"Boom! Boom! Boom!"
Within moments, dozens of soldiers appeared before Kronos and the others.
But in the face of these soldiers, Kronos didn't take them seriously at all. He simply looked at them coldly.
At the same time, all members of the Kamui Pirates slowly gathered beside Kronos at the edge of the ship.
They looked down at the three mermaid princes and the Nautilus troops below.
A faint smile appeared on Gojo Satoru's face as he spread his hands in amusement.
"You... plan to fight us?"
Beside Kronos, Albedo glanced at Shark Star and the others, her face full of disdain.
"To dare raise your weapons against Lord Kronos… You truly don't know your place."
Seeing the merfolk ready for war, Kronos also let out a light chuckle.
"If I kill you, your father would be furious, wouldn't he?"
"That might cause some trouble…"
"Well, I suppose I wouldn't mind if Fish-Man Island disappeared from the world altogether."
As he spoke, Kronos slowly raised his hand.
The smile on his face gradually turned icy.
Then, as his hand lowered, he said coldly:
"Kill them all—"
But before he could finish his words—
Just as the Kamui Pirates were preparing to strike and Kronos's sentence was about to fall—
A sudden cry rang out from the sky above.
"Wait!!"
"Please wait!"
The sudden voice caused everyone present to pause and look up instinctively.
There, descending swiftly on the back of a black whale, was a massive male merman with a long, waterfall-like orange beard.
Upon seeing him, Kronos narrowed his eyes.
He recognized the figure instantly.
"King Neptune of the Ryugu Kingdom... the Sea God?"
At that moment, the mermaid girls huddled near the bay widened their eyes in disbelief.
"Look! That's... that's the king!"
"He actually came down from Ryugu Palace?!"
"I-It's the first time I've seen him with my own eyes!"
"What's going on?! He didn't even bring any guards!"
"Why would he come here personally?! Is it because of those human pirates?!"
"No way, right?! For him to come alone… something big must've happened at the palace!"
As the mermaids speculated in astonishment, the six pirates on the other side were already trembling.
"H-Hey… Neptune?!"
"Why is he here in person?!"
The three princes—Shark Star, King Star, and Rollover Star—were equally stunned.
"F-Father?!"
"Why did you come down?!"
But Neptune didn't respond to his sons right away. He turned instead to face Kronos.
He bowed slightly and said with sincerity:
"I deeply apologize."
"It was my sons' rudeness that offended you."
"I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive them."
At those words, the mermaids around them were completely shocked.
Every fishman and mermaid wore a look of utter disbelief.
"N-No way…!!"
"His Majesty... actually apologized to a human?!"
"Am I dreaming?!"
"Who the hell is that human?!"
The mermaid girls stared at Kronos, their pupils trembling, their bodies frozen in fear.
Even the three princes were dumbfounded.
Hearing their father—the King of the Ryugu Kingdom—apologize to a human pirate made their eyes widen with disbelief.
"F-Father...?!"
Even Kronos was a little surprised when Neptune suddenly appeared and bowed to him.
At that moment, Neptune walked up to the princes and said in a stern voice:
"Apologize to his lordship."
Shaoxing and the others were stunned.
But under Neptune's unwavering gaze—
All three bowed their heads and said:
"We're sorry."
"Please forgive our earlier disrespect."
Seeing this, Kronos smiled again.
"Looks like you do know who we are, Neptune."
Neptune turned and nodded calmly.
"Of course. Your reputation, Lord Kronos, has long spread across the seas."
"It's just that my sons were ignorant and failed to recognize your greatness. I hope you will not hold it against them."
As Neptune's humble words fell, all the merfolk around fell into a daze.
None of them could have imagined...
That the king of Fish-Man Island would bow his head before a human pirate!
At this point, Rollover Star, the third prince, couldn't help but ask in a low voice:
"Father... this human— no, this lord... who exactly is he?"
Neptune turned and looked at him, as well as at his other sons' puzzled expressions.
After a long pause, he sighed deeply and said solemnly:
"He is the most feared sea emperor on these seas…
Kronos!"
