"Such poor manners toward the elderly!"
The old man shook his head. Though he wore a smile, disappointment filled his voice.
"It seems you've failed not only as a king… but also as a human being."
The old man who had appeared on the ship was none other than Banggu, of the Kamui Pirates!
While Konan, Gojo Satoru, Pain (Six Paths), and others were acting elsewhere in the kingdom, Banggu had chosen to investigate the palace.
But what he saw deeply disappointed him.
As the ruler of a nation, King Bliss had shown no responsibility. Faced with crisis, he abandoned his people and treasure, opting to flee rather than protect or resist.
Sure, it was a "survivable" tactic—but in Banggu's eyes, it was also the most disgraceful.
He looked at the cowardly king with disdain.
Banggu sighed once more and raised his right hand into a battle stance.
"Even if you're the king of this land, acting like that? I don't think Mr. Kronos will mind if I end you right here."
"You old bastard?! What nonsense are you spouting?! Guards! Guards! Kill this fossil!"
King Bliss clenched his fat fists and screamed in rage, jumping up and down as he tried to rally his fallen guards.
"You hear me?! Stop pretending to be dead! Kill this crazy old man now!"
But before he could finish his tantrum—
Banggu moved.
In an instant, the deck shattered beneath him, and he vanished from sight.
A flash of silver light—
And suddenly, Banggu stood before the king.
BAM!
One punch.
That was all it took.
King Bliss, who had just been screaming, flew backward like a broken kite.
He smashed straight through the stern of the ship.
One second ago, he was barking orders.
The next, he was embedded in the wreckage like a lifeless doll—his chest caved in, coughing blood, barely breathing.
Banggu calmly folded his fists and turned toward the soldiers who had just arrived with treasure in tow.
"I suggest you drop those now. Everything here now belongs to the Kamui Pirates."
The soldiers looked at each other in disbelief.
They hesitated, clutching the treasure, unwilling to let go.
Banggu didn't argue.
He simply pressed his foot into the ship's deck.
Crack.
The entire ship shattered with a single stomp.
The hull split apart. Wood splintered. Treasure spilled everywhere.
Banggu jumped down in front of the soldiers and spoke kindly.
"If you'd rather not follow your ship to the bottom of the sea, I suggest you surrender."
The soldiers, stunned, trembled in place.
"He broke a warship with one foot…!"
"What kind of monster is this old man?!"
"Did he take out all the guards too?!"
Before they could even catch their breath, Banggu added:
"Also, your king's dead. From now on, this kingdom belongs to our captain—Mr. Kronos, of the Kamui Pirates."
"Return the treasure to the treasury. It now belongs to him."
Leaving those words behind, Banggu turned and walked away.
He didn't need to look back.
He knew the soldiers would make the smart decision if they valued their lives.
Elsewhere in the Kingdom of Bliss, operatives like Konan, Gojo Satoru, Pain (Six Paths), Jikuni Enichi, Uchiha Madara, Artoria, and Hashirama were also carrying out their missions.
Only Albedo remained at Kronos's side, standing watchfully by her captain.
Other crew members such as Assac, Populun, Vians, Kent, and Illya were also in motion.
In just an hour, Konan, Gojo, Pain, and the others had returned to Kronos, their tasks complete.
"Captain Kronos," Konan reported, "As you ordered, half of the royal family and military have been eliminated. The rest are fully under control."
"Also, we've confirmed: the Kingdom of Bliss is one of the countries aligned with the World Government."
Kronos nodded slowly, a faint smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
"Well done, everyone."
"Hah! Didn't expect that from you, Captain!" Gojo Satoru grinned and bumped shoulders with Kronos playfully. "Didn't know you cared!"
Albedo immediately bristled, stepping between them.
"Gojo Satoru! Show some respect to Lord Kronos!"
"Mr. Kronos..." another voice called.
Banggu returned, the last to report in.
"Captain, I must apologize. I took the liberty of killing the king."
Kronos only chuckled softly.
"It's fine. Just a king."
A king meant nothing to him.
Rulers could be replaced.
All that mattered was who controlled the land—and now, that was him.
And conveniently, he already had someone who could manage it.
Mobley.
The former adjutant, still kneeling beside Albedo and Kronos, hadn't dared move.
Kronos hadn't ordered his death, but hadn't told him what to do either.
So he remained still, breathing quietly, not daring to speak.
"Mobley, right?"
Kronos finally addressed him.
"Y-Yes!" Mobley stammered, heart pounding wildly.
"From now on, you're the new king of this kingdom."
"W-What?!"
Mobley froze.
He hadn't just been spared by these terrifying pirates—they were making him king?!
Was this really happening?
Wasn't this the plot of some ridiculous power-fantasy novel?
Was this real life?
