"Fancy meeting you here, Vaan."
Victor stood at the path leading to the Vermillion Crest Dormitory, a smug smile hanging on his face.
"Why am I not surprised?" Vaan replied, returning his smile. "It seems you haven't learned your lesson back in the Grand Hall."
"Oh, please. A gentleman knows when to back down," Victor scoffed. "Still, you and I should have a little talk."
Nessia immediately moved to stand in front of Vaan, ready to defend her friend against this insufferable noble.
"I don't understand why you mingle with such filthy commoners, Vaan," Victor said after noticing that Nessia was only wearing her school uniform. "You should just come along quietly while I'm still being nice. You don't want your friend to get hurt, do you?"
As if waiting for that moment, four men appeared and surrounded Vaan and Nessia, cutting off their escape routes.
