"… Where?"
When Alex opened his eyes, he found himself lying on a beach chair.
The sound of waves crashing against the sandy shore reached his ears, filling him with confusion.
'Wait, wasn't I talking to Evangeline at the party?' Alex wondered. He pinched the bridge of his nose as he tried to organize his thoughts. 'Then… my head started to ache. I saw a memory.'
As he tried to recall what had happened, fuzzy, fragmented scenes surfaced in his mind, but none of which he could make sense of.
'Maybe I can't recall it because I'm in a dream,' Alex mused. 'Recalling memories inside a dream might not be possible.'
While Alex was deep in thought, he saw something move out of the corner of his eye. He turned to his right for a better look.
"Good. You're finally awake."
Alex blanked out for a brief moment as his head tried to process what he was looking at.
