Alaric agrees easily. Although at this point, Lenore suspects that there aren't a lot of requests he wouldn't agree to if she asked. At least, not with the way he's been acting towards her lately. He thinks that it's not a bad idea to meet with the priests at the Temple first, and it's been too long since he's visited the Temple in Barrowmere anyway. It's overdue for an inspection, he tells her. And that gives him an excuse to snoop around the Temple officially with her at his side.
However, that also means that there's some amount of preparation that needs to be done before they head to the Temple. After all, if he's using an inspection as the reason behind his visit, he might as well actually conduct the inspection. It saves him from having to make multiple trips that might end up being unnecessary, especially if Lenore decides that she doesn't trust the Temple enough to ask them for help understanding her mark.
