Shortly after the priest states that Lenore shares Elyria's soul, Lenore passes out. Alaric, sitting beside her, has no trouble wrapping his arms around her and pulling her close to his chest before she falls.
The priest seems to be as equally surprised as Alaric is when Lenore goes limp. However, he recovers quickly enough to move around the coffee table and kneel on the floor near Lenore, shifting from using his divine power for inspecting her mark to using it to check her condition before Alaric even has to ask. Not that Alaric is sure he'd have found the words to ask the priest to check over her when holding her like this—after a sudden collapse during what should have been nothing concerning—it reminds him too much of the night of the banquet and how it felt like he was losing Lenore without the ability to stop her from leaving.
