By the time morning returns, Lenore feels... not better, but not worse either. It's like the sadness that built up from the priest's words has poured out of her through her tears and left emptiness behind. While the emptiness feels less oppressive, it doesn't necessarily feel good. It's just an ache reminding her that there were feelings in her chest, and now they're gone. And that's okay.
But it's also hollow in a way she's not used to, so she finds herself uncertain about how to process it.
