"Ignoring the fact that you said we were just sleeping together when we weren't… you write one thing, but your racing heart when I touch you says another," he said slowly, his tone deliberate, even as he crawled onto the bed.

Rymora scrambled back, her hands digging into the sheets.

"I can beg you, if that helps. Whatever it is… I'm sure I can help," he said, and there was a pleading look in his eyes that startled her. She had not expected to see that expression on Drehk's face. Still, she stubbornly shook her head.

Unless he could change himself into a werewolf, there was nothing that could be done. 'You are my natural enemy'

He loomed over her, his size impossible to ignore. He was easily three times bigger than her, and with her short, slender frame it had never been more obvious than in that moment as he crept closer, each movement measured, unhurried.
