[Kelsey's Residence — 5:41 PM]
Lila and I remained in the room for what seemed to be five hours or even more.
The doctor had already come to check on her and left. He said she was healing fast and won't have to come every day, which was a huge relief to Lila.
In less than one week, she'll take the bandage off her hand.
She thanked him as he left, roaming about.
"I can finally go to school,"
So that's why she's excited. I never wanted to learn when I was young. I'd rather practice shooting than look at a book.
"Daddy!" She called my name and I snapped out of my thoughts.
"Yes, baby," I replied, touching her hair.
"Will you go check on Mummy? She must be working hard because of those people,"
"Of course, I'll go check on her," I sprang up from the bed, lifting Lila off the floor and placing her on the bed. "Mummy said you'll sleep in here till those people leave, so don't leave from here, okay?" I asked and she nodded her head, obediently.
