Chapter 57 - Chapter 57: Yang Le Being Targeted?

Chapter 57: Yang Le Being Targeted?

Cindy's words were harsh, but they were the truth. His policy error had indeed caused some turmoil within the Osborn Group.

It was at this time that Cindy approached Norman. After witnessing Cindy's talent, Norman immediately seized this lifesaver.

Cindy provided Norman with some Research Outcome, allowing Norman to stabilize the Company, and Norman also provided Cindy with assistance, helping her complete the Radiation Spider Project.

The two did indeed go through a honeymoon period at first, but this relationship had recently approached freezing point.

"How long exactly will it take you to complete that Serum?" Norman tried hard to calm his emotions.

"Who knows? Quickly, maybe a month or two, slowly, maybe three or five years. Who can say for sure?" Cindy remained as nonchalant as ever, not taking Norman's demands seriously at all.

"Cindy Moon!" Norman slammed the Table in front of him heavily, glaring at Cindy with resentment.

"You really should take a look at yourself right now, you look just like a Goblin." Cindy first mocked Norman's unsightly appearance, and then said coldly.

"If it wasn't for some sticky-fingered Goblin stealing my Achievement, you might have gotten your Serum already."

"You always have to give me something to shut up the Board of Directors." Norman knew Cindy was talking about him, but he wouldn't feel ashamed.

"The bunch of mediocrities the Company employs only produce Garbage. Relying on them won't reassure the shareholders."

Cindy had seen enough of this businessman's shameless face. She wouldn't give Norman the finished Serum; she would just dangle it in front of him like a carrot to a mule.

But she still needed to give him some appropriate sweeteners, after all, she did need his Funds right now.

Cindy said, "The Serum was tested a couple of days ago. Trust me, you need to wait a little longer, unless you want to open a Reptile exhibit."

Norman clenched his Fist when he heard Cindy's words, but finally relaxed it. He said viciously, "I'll give you three more months. This is the final ultimatum."

After saying that, without giving Cindy a chance to bargain, he swiped his Card and left the Laboratory.

Cindy didn't look at Norman leaving, not caring at all about the deadline he had angrily set for her.

Cindy came to the Computer and operated it a few times. Several Photos immediately filled the Screen. The people in the Photos were both male and female, many and few, but the focus of the Photos was undoubtedly on one person—Gwen Stacy.

"Lucky little girl." Cindy murmured, looking at the youthful and beautiful Gwen.

"Campus, Band, just like a youth comedy, besties, Friends, what an enviable life."

Cindy operated the Cursor, flipping through the Photos one by one. There were Photos of Gwen going to school, shopping, eating, participating in Band training, and even Gwen putting on her Battle Suit and wandering between Buildings.

Finally, the Photo stopped on a group Photo of three people. It was a Photo of Gwen, Yang Le, and Peter eating together at an Outdoor Restaurant.

In the Photo, Peter was holding a Comics, pointing to a page and showing it to Yang Le. Yang Le was touching his chin, squinting his Eyes and carefully looking at where Peter was pointing, while Gwen was holding a Cola, sipping on a Straw, her expression helpless, but her Eyes full of doting affection as she looked at the two of them.

"That trial was originally prepared for you." Cindy moved the Cursor from Peter's head to Gwen's face.

"Too bad, I originally wanted to see your Ability, but I didn't expect it to be messed up by someone else."

The Cursor moved to Yang Le's face again.

"Such a peculiar Ability, first a reptile with extreme speed, and then it turned into an incredible Crystalline Lifeform. I really want to know what you are, where your limit is, and also…"

"To obtain your Ability."

Cindy closed the Computer, thinking, should she change her cooperation partner?

——Line Break———

"Are you sure you want to give Peter this?"

Harry Osborn frowned as he looked at the thing Yang Le was carrying in his hand.

"What's wrong?" Yang Le lowered his head to check.

"The latest issue of Superhero Comics, is there anything wrong with it?"

"Yeah? Is there anything wrong?" Gwen also asked from the side.

"Uh." Yang Le and Gwen's questions made Harry lose his confidence instead. He awkwardly opened his mouth and said.

"Normally when visiting the sick, shouldn't you bring some Fruit or a Bouquet or something?"

After speaking, he also pointed to the Fruit Basket he was carrying. They had now arrived at the Hospital where Peter was hospitalized, preparing to visit Peter who had a concussion.

"Normally speaking, yes." Gwen nodded. "But Peter is different. He must be bored to death. Aunt May won't let him have his Game Console because of the concussion, and she won't even let him play Sudoku Game in the Newspaper."

"That is indeed a bit cruel." Harry put himself in Peter's shoes and shuddered.

Not even being allowed to play Sudoku Game, it's even more painful than being a prisoner.

"Aren't we waiting for Mary Jane?" Harry asked, looking at Peter's Hospital Room in front of him.

Gwen gave him a look, signaling Harry to figure it out for himself, and then pushed open the door and took the lead to walk in. Yang Le followed closely behind, and Harry, seeing this, also followed in confusion.

As soon as they entered, they saw the eye-catching red hair. Mary Jane was sitting in front of Peter's Hospital bed, and the corners of both of their mouths were turned up, obviously they had been chatting happily before they came in.

"Hi, Peter! We've come to see you." Gwen greeted him, and at the same time took the Bag Yang Le was carrying and handed it to Peter.

"Here, the latest issue of Superhero Comics, you can read it when you're bored."

Faced with his favorite Magazine in the past, Peter's expression was not as happy as Gwen had imagined, but instead looked a little embarrassed.

Gwen asked curiously, "What's wrong, Peter? I remember you liked this Magazine the most? Did I remember wrong?"

"I do like it the most, but…" Peter picked up a Bag from the bedside Table, and took out a Magazine that was exactly the same as the one Gwen handed over from it. It was indeed the latest issue of Superhero Comics.

"But, Mary Jane has already brought it for me."

"Oh, this is really…" Gwen helplessly glanced at Mary Jane sitting aside, and found that she was also looking at herself awkwardly.

"Uh, a bit awkward."

"No way, everyone knows Peter's hobby, someone with good intentions beat us to it." Yang Le shrugged and said helplessly.

Harry on the side showed a smile, and raised the Fruit Basket in his hand like a victor.

"Ha! I knew tradition is always the most effective. So, anyone want some fresh Fruit?"

"Give me some, fruit-selling little boy." Yang Le raised his hand.

"I'll peel an Apple for Peter, so it won't be considered coming empty-handed."
