Chapter 66: Attack
It was night. Yang Le and Gwen were standing outside an Abandoned Building, but no one could notice them.
Gwen had Xue Bao cover her whole body and activated the Optical Camouflage function.
Yang Le had also transformed into an Alien capable of Invisibility, a Merlinisapien. Ben called him Chromastrip. His ability was simple, just like his Nickname, he could quickly change his color to match the surrounding environment, achieving Invisibility.
Moreover, he was exceptionally agile and swift. His tail also hid a retractable stinger, making him adept at infiltration and assassination. He could be said to be a natural assassin.
Relying on Invisibility, the two silently infiltrated the Abandoned Building and, following the route Norman had given them, advanced towards the Underground Laboratory.
The two were cautious, but they didn't encounter anyone along the way. Finally, they arrived at the Door of the Laboratory.
Gwen took out the Access Card she had gotten from Norman and opened the Door of the Laboratory. As expected, it was empty.
However, Yang Le and Gwen were not discouraged. After all, they hadn't expected to find anyone here in the first place. They had another reason for coming.
After checking around and finding no Camera or other listening devices, they both deactivated Invisibility.
As soon as Yang Le deactivated Invisibility, he immediately activated the Omnitrix and transformed into another Alien.
The White Light dissipated, and Clockwork appeared once again.
Practice makes perfect. Yang Le skillfully used Clockwork's Rewind Ability.
Time in the Laboratory began to rewind, and the miracle of the Chronosapien was displayed once more.

"What's wrong, Gwen?"
Yang Le's words interrupted Gwen's thoughts. Gwen snapped out of it and found Yang Le looking at her with concern.
"Nothing, Habby," Gwen said, looking unenthusiastic.
The two had already left Cindy's Laboratory and were on their way Home. After leaving the Laboratory, Gwen had seemed somewhat absent-minded.
"Is it because of the rewind just now? Are you worried about me?" Yang Le guessed.
In the rewind just now, Yang Le and Gwen had learned that Cindy had actually been monitoring them all along, and that Cindy already knew about Yang Le and the Omnitrix and had shown obvious interest.
"That's right, I'm very worried about you, Habby." Gwen stopped walking, her watery eyes filled with worry, like a lake under the moonlight.
"I'm scared, scared that something like what happened to Peter will happen again, especially to you."
"Guess what? I'm actually a little happy," Yang Le said cheerfully.
"Habby!" Gwen's tone became serious, in stark contrast to the beaming Yang Le.
"Have you forgotten about the Port incident before? You're not a god, you can get hurt, even die."
When she said the word "die," Gwen's voice trembled slightly, and her Lips were bitten pale.
"I remember, Gwen." Yang Le put away his cynical attitude and looked at Gwen seriously.
"Precisely because I remember, I won't be careless again. No one can defeat me now."
Having experienced that failure, Yang Le adjusted the Omnitrix. He set up an Emergency Transformation. The Omnitrix's Emergency Transformation function remained unchanged. On this basis, he added a Choice—Atomix.
Of course, it wasn't guaranteed to transform into Atomix. Atomix's power was underestimated even when described as a humanoid natural disaster. This guy truly possessed the Ability to destroy a planet; he was a genuine doomsday Weapon.
Yang Le was even afraid that he might accidentally destroy New York in a fight. And under normal circumstances, the Omnitrix wouldn't randomly transform the Wearer into Atomix.
Even Way Big was in the Emergency Transformation, but not Atomix. It was probably set by Azmuth.
When Yang Le was checking the Omnitrix, he discovered this and added Atomix to the Emergency Transformation.
"Hopefully," Gwen said, still doubtful.
The two took the Subway back to Queens. Although Gwen still chatted with Yang Le along the way, Yang Le could still see her strangeness. He guessed she didn't want him to worry.
"Want to grab a Midnight Snack?" Yang Le suggested, standing at the Doorway of the Apartment.
"We've been on a Weight Loss diet for quite a while now. How about we indulge a little today? We've been busy with all sorts of Business lately, it's a good time to reward ourselves."
"Emmm, okay." Gwen thought for a moment, but still couldn't resist the temptation and agreed to Yang Le's Suggestion.
"What to eat? Shall we go together?"
"Let's go to that 24-hour Restaurant we always go to. I'll go by myself. With a beautiful lady like you, the journey will definitely not be peaceful." Yang Le gave an exaggerated gentleman's bow, raising his eyebrows as he spoke.
"Alright," Gwen said, amused by Yang Le's antics, mimicking his exaggerated tone.
"Then I shall await your triumphant return, my warrior."
After speaking, she walked lightly into the Apartment.
Yang Le was also amused by Gwen. He strode towards the Restaurant.
The Restaurant was not far from the Apartment, only a five or six-minute walk.
A Truck was parked in front of the Restaurant. Yang Le pushed open the Gate of the Restaurant and walked in.
As soon as he entered, Yang Le sensed something was wrong. Even though there was a Truck parked at the Doorway, there wasn't a single customer in the Restaurant.
Secretly paying attention, Yang Le calmly walked to the front desk. A staff member was standing there, waiting for customers to arrive.
"What do you need?" the staff member asked, his attitude a bit cold, probably because he was sleepy.
"I need five Big Mac Set Meal," Yang Le said, acting like he knew the place well, obviously a regular customer.
"You look unfamiliar? Are you new here?"
The staff member turned around to prepare the meal, not answering Yang Le's question.
Yang Le wasn't annoyed, and just continued to speak to himself.
"By the way, can I add another order?"
Only then did the staff member stop what he was doing, waiting for Yang Le's next words.
Yang Le said expressionlessly, "Where's Lime? The foreman here. Did you kill him?"
"How did you see through it?" The staff member didn't turn around, but slowly lowered his hands, no longer preparing the meal.
"I'm very familiar with the foreman here," Yang Le shrugged.
"He's a typical Redneck. There's a Truck parked outside taking up a parking spot, but there are no diners in the Restaurant. He wouldn't allow anyone to occupy a parking spot for free. Of course, none of this is the main point."
The staff member turned around, looking at Yang Le sinisterly.
"I was actually bluffing you. I didn't expect you to admit it."
The air froze. Yang Le actually saw embarrassment on the other person's Face, but it was only for a moment and quickly disappeared. Yang Le even thought he was hallucinating.
"Disguise failed, I've been discovered. Initiate Plan B," the man suddenly said.
Yang Le hadn't figured out who he was talking to when a loud bang mixed with the sound of Glass breaking came from behind him.
Yang Le didn't turn his head immediately. Instead, he immediately raised his left hand, preparing to activate the Omnitrix.
But he was still a step too slow. A large hand pressed against his Back, directly pushing him to the ground.
Just as the attacker thought he had succeeded, a White Light flashed. He felt the person he was holding down change, from small to strong. He couldn't control him anymore.
"Hah!" Yang Le, transformed into Diamondhead, controlled the spikes on his Back, causing them to grow rapidly. The sharp Crystalline Spear forced back the attacker behind him.
