Chapter 79 - Chapter 79: Spider-Pigs Unite

Chapter 79: Spider-Pigs Unite

"It certainly made quite a racket," Peter shrugged on the side. "It felt like I had a hangover. Oh, you know, us office workers have to entertain clients. What I mean is, when I vomit after a hangover, even if I'm careful, Mary Jane can still tell."

"That wasn't a hangover," Yang Le shook his head.

"It's a metaphor, do you understand?" Peter waved his hands emphatically.

Ignoring the reliable adult male, Yang Le turned to Gwen.

"Since you've seen it, that means others should have seen it too."

"Of course, your throwing up did make quite a bit of noise," Gwen held up her fingers in a gesture mimicking a starry sky.

"I'd say the whole of New York saw that fireworks display."

"I meant not the civilians," Yang Le waved his hand dismissively. "I meant other travelers from other dimensions."

"Other people? You mean there are others?" Gwen's eyes widened slightly.

"That's right." Yang Le glanced back at Peter. "Peter should have heard it too. The scientist next to Kingpin mentioned that five parallel universes were opened."

"That's true," Peter placed his hand under his chin, pondering for a moment. "So besides Gwen, there should be at least four other multiversal travelers, unless someone like you exists."

"Then let's calculate the time, even if they hesitated, they should be here by now," Yang Le glanced at his little broken watch as if checking the time.

Sure enough, no sooner had he spoken than he heard a familiar sound of air breaking and a splat, the sound of spider silk being shot and sticking to its target.

Looking toward the direction of the spider silk, an unexpected... person? appeared in their line of sight.

"Wow!" A short red and blue figure arrived in front of the three via spider silk.

He flipped three times in the air and finally hovered in place with an extremely unscientific hovering force, then slowly descended by fluttering his tiny feet, allowing everyone to see his full appearance clearly.

A standing pig with human hands and feet? No, a human with a pig's head.

"Greetings," Spider Pig extended his right hand as if to shake hands with everyone.

"Uh, hello."

"Hello..."

Gwen and Peter looked somewhat flustered.

Ignoring the two in disarray, Yang Le walked up to Spider Pig and shook his hand.

"Hello, my name is Yang Le, nice to meet you."

"Hello Yang...Le?" Spider Pig said uncertainly.

"If it sounds strange, you can call me Happy," Yang Le pointed to the Gwen behind him.

"My girlfriend gave me that nickname."

"Alright, Mr. Yang Le, my name is Peter Porker, you can also call me Spider-Man," Spider-Man vigorously shook Yang Le's hand so fast it left afterimages, and he himself jumped up on tiptoe.

"To be honest, since I came here, you're the first person to shake my hand. Am I wiping my hands too clean?"

"Maybe because I'm good at accepting new things," Yang Le looked at his hand, though it was already moving too fast to see clearly, yet he didn't feel anything unusual, just like a normal handshake.

"Compared to you, the performances of my two counterparts have been quite disappointing," Spider Pig wiped away the fist-sized tear he hadn't noticed before.

"Of course, I'm not talking bad about your girlfriend; it's just that some things saddened a pig."

"Uh, I'm sorry."

"Sorry, it's my fault."

Gwen and Peter apologized simultaneously, not knowing why, they suddenly felt a heavy sense of guilt and the apology slipped out involuntarily.

"Alright, Porker, please forgive me for calling you by your surname. After all, there are more than one Peter here," Yang Le patted Spider Pig's head to comfort him. "Don't be sad anymore."

"Right," Spider Pig wiped away his tears and forcefully shook them off, leaving water stains on the ground where the fist-sized tears fell.

"It's about time for the others to make their entrance."

"You know there are others?" Gwen asked.

"I don't know," Spider Pig proudly adjusted his waist. "But generally speaking, when it comes to the multiverse, it usually means a big scene."

Peter looked around and, seeing Spider Pig, became increasingly excited for the next arrival.

Sure enough, the next arrival didn't disappoint either. A red and blue machine climbed onto the rooftop.

"Excuse me, I intended to follow that pig gentleman earlier," the robot's voice was surprisingly soft and girlish, the kind that would make you imagine how cute it is just by hearing it.

"But I saw you guys chatting so lively, so I didn't have the heart to interrupt you."

"A pig, a robot," Peter pointed at both. "Now I won't be surprised by whatever comes next."

"I'm not a robot," as the robot denied, its armor opened evenly, revealing the cockpit inside. A black-haired loli who fit the voice sat inside wearing a school uniform.

"Now this fits my imagination," Peter said after seeing Penny's true form.

"My name is Penny Parker, this is my partner, and also my best friend. We come from the year 3145," Penny touched the cockpit, and heart-shaped marks appeared on the robot's panel.

"One, two, three, so there should be two more," Gwen counted on her fingers.

"The fourth one is here," a voice sounded behind everyone. Turning around, they only saw the rooftop door.

"I'm here."

A black shadow stepped out of the shadow beside the door, allowing everyone to see this unique individual.

His outfit was very retro, all black, which was why no one noticed him.

"In fact, I should have been the first," that person straightened his hat.

"But your attention was all drawn to that pig, no one noticed me."

"Apologies," ×4

"Ah~" That person sighed. "Forget it, my name is Peter Parker, just like that guy beside me, I come from 1933."

"Future, past," Spider Pig pointed at the two and then said dejectedly.

"I'm just boring."

"No, you're probably the most shocking one," Peter teased.

"So there's still one more?" Peter seemed very excited. "I can tell, everyone here has special skills. I can't wait to see the next Spider-Man."

Bang! The rooftop door opened, and all the Spider-Men reacted to hide, but stopped when they saw the red and blue uniform. Although they didn't know why the person climbed the stairs, they assumed it was another Spider-Man.

"Huff... huff..." The person didn't wear a mask, revealing a scruffy, weary face with stubble, leaning on his legs and panting heavily.

"Okay, okay," the person struggled to catch his breath. "I hope I haven't missed anything, what the heck is going on!"

As soon as he raised his head, he was startled by the scene in front of him. At the same time, 1610 Peter was also frightened. Seeing a face that looked almost identical to his except for hair color, he felt like he was looking at his future self ten years later. Would he look like this in ten years?

"It seems we need to reintroduce ourselves again," Yang Le said helplessly.
