Chapter 776: Source of Fear - Supreme Celestial Paradise Entrance
In short, the current X-Men have fallen into a vicious cycle. They can only be considered to be barely surviving now. Once Magik's stamina is exhausted, then everything will be over.
And this future will not be too far away.
Finally, Magik was momentarily careless and Magneto seized the weakness. A steel bar pierced Magik's left calf accurately and without error from an extremely tricky angle.
"Ah!" Magik cried out miserably. Her body instantly lost balance, but she did not give up and still summoned a light disc beneath her. She then fell down towards the light disc.
But this was ultimately too slow. Magneto twitched his finger slightly, and the steel bar stuck in Magik's leg shook violently. The severe pain made it impossible for the latter to even think.
Hooking his finger, Magneto caught the steel bar and forcibly pulled Magik out of the light disc backwards. Magik wanted to pull the steel bar out of her leg, but found that she couldn't budge the steel bar at all.
This was natural. That steel bar was still under Magneto's control. Magik trying to pull out the steel bar was equivalent to competing with magnetic force. Relying solely on her power, it was definitely impossible to do.
The only method Magik could think of now was to cut off her own left calf. However, her Soulsword could not do this, because this sword is only lethal to magical creatures. In her human state, she cannot be considered a magical creature.
As for demon form, she had just used it when fighting desperately with Magneto. Relying on her current stamina, there was no way to use it again. But it didn't matter, she didn't only have the Soulsword as an attack method. She could also use magic.
Magik performed incantations and chanted spells, enduring the pain. With her free left hand trembling, she made a few hand gestures. Then, swords composed of orange energy appeared out of thin air beside her left leg, about to slash down.
"Clang!" Magik widened her eyes. On the inevitable path of her magic blade's slash, a purple barrier appeared out of thin air. She had never heard of this magic energy, but Magik could feel the purity of this energy.
"Such beautiful legs, it would be too much of a pity to cut them off." Perhaps it was because it had been too long since he had spoken to anyone, but the first sentence **Highfather** said when he tore through space to make his entrance was very indecent. It sounded like some kind of rogue, not a dimensional demon god who possessed a dimension.
"Illyana Rasputina." **Highfather** slowly uttered Magik's name. "As a newly ascended dimensional deity, your performance is not worthy of this title."
After speaking, **Highfather** snapped his claw. The originally hard steel bar was enveloped in a purple energy, and then it melted like liquid and melted into Magik's calf.
Losing the restriction of the steel bar, Magik naturally fell to the ground. Landing on the ground, she hurriedly looked towards her calf and found that not to mention the steel bar, there wasn't even a wound or blood. Even her stockings had been mended.
"Equivalent exchange, the most basic courses in magic," **Highfather** explained. "Steel bar, trace elements in the air, plus a small amount of magic, wanting to heal this minor injury is really too easy."
"Who are you?" Magik looked up at this obviously non-human creature in front of her. **Highfather** looked like a bipedal turtle, except that purple flames were still burning on this turtle's head and body.
"Like you, the Queen of Limbo," **Highfather** stated Magik's true identity in one sentence. "I am also a dimensional demon god."
"Whoosh!" Just as **Highfather** wanted to elaborate on his identity, Magneto, who had been ignored all along, obviously didn't want to let go of this opportunity. He drew circles with both hands, and not only just appeared beside him, but also several eyeball-sized iron balls.
Magneto slapped out with one palm. These newly condensed iron balls, mixed with electromagnetic force, shot towards **Highfather** who had his back to him like arrows shot from a bowstring. It was the simple but effective electromagnetic cannon.
Deafeningly loud, the electromagnetic cannon instantly broke through the speed of sound. In the blink of an eye, it arrived beside **Highfather**. The speed was so fast that Magik, who was directly facing Magneto, didn't even have time to remind Yang Le.
Who knew that when these electromagnetic cannons were only half a meter away from **Highfather's** position, they were like breaking through the water surface, splashing up countless ripples out of thin air, as if an invisible barrier had been broken through.
Crossing that barrier, the electromagnetic cannons that could originally penetrate tanks actually turned into flowers with no threat. These flowers hit **Highfather's** turtle shell and shattered into countless petals, falling down slowly.
"Equivalent exchange, remember?" **Highfather's** skull head turned a circle in the flame. This bizarre scene couldn't scare Magik who grew up in Hell, but combined with the daffodils mismatched with **Highfather**, it could make her laugh.
"Don't be silly," Magik chuckled. "I've never seen any magician who can do things as freely as you do."
"In fact, there are quite a few people who can do this," **Highfather** snapped his fingers again. Those X-Men who looked like they were cosplaying Ultra Brothers were immediately liberated. The metal crosses that bound them were also transformed into soft beds.
"This universe is much bigger than you think, and there are many things that will exceed what you consider common sense," **Highfather** explained to Magik like a teacher, raising a finger.
"For example, as a dimensional demon god, I don't need to abide by restrictions and can descend to the real world at will."
"Huh? I thought you were the same type as me," Magik curiously sized up **Highfather**.
She had always thought that **Highfather** was the same type of dimensional demon god as her, because he was originally an Earth creature, so he could freely shuttle between two worlds. She didn't expect **Highfather** was not.
"No, no, no," **Highfather** waved his finger. "I'm not the same as you. I have someone backing me up."
It has to be said that befriending Eternity has many conveniences. For example, dimensional demon gods who cannot descend at will in the Marvel Universe, Yang Le can ignore any restraints and descend directly, as simple as taking a walk in his own back garden.
While the two were talking, Magneto was also attacking, but he used all his skills and still could not break through **Highfather's** barrier. It was a situation where he could not be defeated even if he exerted all his strength.
No! It's not that he cannot be defeated. Magneto has now become 天锤尊者, and he still has a magic weapon that can help him.
Just like a certain Master Mage once said, to use magic to defeat magic, professional matters are best left to professionals.
Magneto beckoned with his right hand, and the 天锤 that had been circling around him immediately stood in front of him. Under the blessing of electromagnetic force, the originally indestructible 天锤 now looked even more terrifying.
Magneto used the method of accelerating electromagnetic cannon to accelerate the 天锤. This perfect combination of magic and scientific power was about to be launched.

Chapter 777 Source of Fear—You Naturally Evil Mutant Imp
Magic Cannon, this is indeed a bit troublesome, because of the ammunition, Magneto does indeed have the means to break through his Barrier now.
Supreme Celestial turned around, this was the first time since he stepped onto the Battlefield that he had truly faced his opponent. Of course, this was not because Magneto was weak, in fact, he was very strong.
Actually, the person in front of him should not be called Magneto, but rather Onslaught. However, Great Serpent was probably afraid that Onslaught would use Telepathy to break through his Control, so Great Serpent completely sealed off his Mind Power.
This also led to the current Onslaught not being able to exert even half of his Strength, but even with just Magneto's Ability, Onslaught could still beat a group of X-Men to a pulp.
However, due to various reasons, even Magneto's Ability, he cannot exert it to its full potential.
If he wanted to, Magneto could destroy the entire Human Civilization with a flick of his Finger. Magneto at full Firepower could even destroy Planets. Of course, even in the Comics, Magneto has never gone full Firepower.
Supreme Celestial gathered his Hands in front of him, making a few unique Gestures. Then, a Magic Array the size of a Slap stood upright in front of his chest, followed by a Magic Array that was exaggeratedly large appearing under his feet.
These Magic Arrays were all constructed by him using Celestial Energy, so of course they were all purple. By the way, the Gesture just now was just for show. As a Dimension Demon God, he has many small Privileges, such as being able to cast spells without specific Gestures and Sacrifice.
After the two Magic Arrays appeared, an astonishing Energy burst out immediately. Then, a purple semicircle enveloped all the X-Men, including Magik.
This was to prevent these wounded from being harmed. These Guys had all fainted, obviously unable to protect their own Safety.
After ensuring the Safety of the X-Men, the next thing to solve was Onslaught.
Supreme Celestial took a few steps and walked out of the Shield (Force Field)'s Protection range. It was also at this time that Onslaught's Cannon was ready.
"Boom!"
The Atmosphere was blasted out of a huge hole, and the Heaven Hammer wrapped in Electromagnetic Force smashed towards the leisurely Supreme Celestial like a Meteor.
This Attack was undeniably powerful. According to the Energy it contained, Supreme Celestial estimated that its Power should be equivalent to a Nuclear Bomb, just reaching the Level of American Comic Measurement Unit.
Faced with such a powerful Attack, is there any good Method to solve it? Of course there is, and it is very simple.
Supreme Celestial stretched out his Hands in advance, and saw a layer of Celestial Energy covering his Claws. The next second, he tore fiercely at the Presence in front of him, and a huge hole was immediately torn open in front of him.
The shattered Space was like Glass that had been smashed, but what was revealed in the crack was not the scenery Outside the Window, but a strange purple Space.
For convenience, the other end of the hole torn open by Supreme Celestial was his Hometown. Of course, he did not intend to let this thing perform a Little Boy falling in his Home. He just used his Dimension as a temporary Passage.
After tearing open the Portal, Supreme Celestial clapped his Hands together in front of his chest, and the Portal in front of him immediately closed. The next second, an identical Portal appeared in front of Onslaught.
This was the Method he had used before to deal with Cyclops. Now Yang Le was also using his own Method to retaliate.
At such a close Distance, Magneto obviously did not react. The Heaven Hammer accurately and unmistakably bombarded his Electromagnetic Shield. The next second, powerful Energy suddenly exploded, instantly engulfing Onslaught himself.
A second Sun seemed to rise in the Sky. The turbulence generated by the Energy Burst formed a seemingly Sphere-shaped area, and began to spread in all directions, already about to touch the Earth Ball condensed by Mutant Island.
Supreme Celestial hurriedly waved his Hand, and an identical Magic Array stood upright in front of the Earth Ball, blocking the Energy generated by the Explosion for it. Fortunately, he reacted quickly, otherwise it would have become Clock King Time Reversal.
It was more than ten seconds later when the Energy completely dissipated, and Supreme Celestial was finally able to see Onslaught's appearance again. It could only be said that there was no change.
But looking at Onslaught's Expression, he knew that he was definitely not relaxed, and should have exhausted all of his Electromagnetic Shield.
Supreme Celestial snapped his Fingers, and the next second he appeared in the High Altitude, behind Onslaught. Taking advantage of his lack of breath, he pressed a Claw on Onslaught's Head.
"Bang!"
At the same time as Supreme Celestial grabbed Onslaught, the latter also swung his Heaven Hammer with magnetic force and smashed it towards the former, but it was blocked by the Celestial Energy Shield.
"You naturally Evil Mutant Imp, I will end you myself now."
After saying this, a surge of Celestial Energy poured into Onslaught's Brain along Supreme Celestial's Claws. Amidst the latter's screams, Supreme Celestial smoothly found what he was looking for.
"Come out!"
Grasping and lifting fiercely, a Figure wearing Armor was pulled out of Magneto's Body by him.
This Figure was naturally Onslaught. His Essence is a Spiritual Lifeform, and the Physical Body is more like Clothes to him. It was very simple for Yang Le to pull him out.
After pulling out Onslaught, Supreme Celestial used his Free Time left Claw to tap on Magneto's Forehead, and a small Magic Array quietly appeared on the latter's Forehead, slowly rotating clockwise.
After Onslaught left the Body, Magneto fell towards the Ground like a Puppet that had lost its strings. Seeing this, Supreme Celestial snapped his Fingers, and Magneto's Body was covered with Celestial Energy and immediately stopped in the Air.
So far, another Sky Hammer Venerable has fallen.
…
"Where am I?"
Cyclops covered his Head and climbed up from the Bed. After opening his Eyes, the first thing he saw was Jean's Cheek.
"You're awake, Scott." Jean gently stroked Cyclops's Head. "How do you feel?"
"Not bad... no, wait!" Cyclops hurriedly stood up. "We should still be in Battle, right? Where's Professor X? Where are the others? Where are the Children? What happened to Mutant Island?"
"Calm down, Scott." Jean pulled Scott. "Everything has been resolved, everyone is over there."
Following Jean's Finger, Cyclops looked up and found that some people had already woken up early. At this time, they were sitting around a Big Turtle with a Flame Head.
Including Professor X he had dreamed of saving, he was also lying quietly aside at this time, just like Sleep.
Cyclops hurriedly got out of Bed and walked quickly to the Crowd. Gambit was the first to notice his good Friend, and reached out to say hello.
"Awake? How do you feel?"
"Now is not the time to talk about this, can someone tell me what happened?"
Cyclops was eager to know what happened, so much so that his Words were a bit rushed, but no one cared about such a trivial Business at this time.
Gambit explained: "We are also confused, just waiting for this God of Magic to explain to us."

Chapter 778 Origin of Fear—Vegetative Magneto
Calling it an explanation, Supreme Celestial actually just simplified what he knew and told the X-Men.
This included the relationship between Onslaught and Magneto, the matter of the Serpent and Skirn this time, and of course, his own self-introduction.
"In other words, the Principal became so extreme because of Charles's consciousness?"
Cyclops looked at the old man lying on the bed beside him with lingering fear. The thought of the person he admired almost disappearing in that way made him afraid.
"You can't put all the blame on Charles either," Supreme Celestial waved his hand. "The root cause of Onslaught's birth is still the unfair treatment suffered by mutants."
"Charles got into a dead end, causing the darkest thoughts in his inner heart to erupt. Afterwards, this thought entered Magneto's brain and combined with his negative emotions, giving birth to something as strange as Onslaught."
"In short, this matter is still the fault of ordinary humans," Fire Man John clicked his tongue in displeasure. "If it weren't for the things they did to us, Charles wouldn't have gone crazy, and the Principal wouldn't have almost disappeared."
Supreme Celestial shrugged. The conflict between humans and mutants is intensifying. Naturally, there are many reasons for humans bringing this upon themselves, but mutants are definitely not bad guys either.
It's just that in this universe, perhaps because of the absence of Professor X, Magneto has become a little softer, which is why mutants have become the weaker side.
But fortunately, in this universe, Sentinel robots are still in the early stages, and the more powerful Nimrod Sentinel has not yet been developed. If mutants want to live well and hide far away, they can, and a tragedy like Krakoa will not happen.
If one day a war between mutants and humans really breaks out, it seems that it can only be the latter who are asking for it.
"Excuse me, sir," Jean asked with concern. "The Principal hasn't woken up yet. May I ask if it's because of some kind of injury?"
"Sort of." Supreme Celestial raised his right hand, and in his palm, a red bead was lying quietly.
"This contains Onslaught's consciousness. When Onslaught occupied Magneto's body and took the dominant position, he must have caused a lot of damage to his consciousness. Although I don't know why Onslaught didn't directly destroy him, Magneto is indeed still alive."
"It's just that being alive is being alive, but being complete is definitely not complete. The current Magneto can only be considered a vegetative state patient."
"This..." Jean's face changed drastically. Not only her, but all the X-Men at this time had the same expression. Obviously, they could not accept this result.
"May I ask if there is any method to cure the Principal?" Cyclops asked hastily.
Magneto's significance to mutants is great. He is not only the spiritual pillar of all mutants, but also the 'nuclear weapon' of mutants. With him, humans dare not attack the mutants on Mutant Island.
Mutants without Magneto are like birds without wings, and may die in the hands of natural enemies at any time.
"There is no special effects medicine for this," Supreme Celestial folded his arms. "Not just humans, but many intelligent creatures' understanding of the brain is less than half."
"The brain, spirit, and mind domain are very mysterious. Carelessness can lead to mistakes. If you seek medical treatment in desperation, Magneto may directly suffer brain death. The method I can think of is to let him rest and recuperate, and then have someone with ability in relevant areas help him with rehabilitation training."
Supreme Celestial was not lying. He is indeed powerless in this regard. Among his alien heroes, only Alien X can perfectly solve this matter. The only other one who can touch this field is Ghostfreak.
But Ghostfreak can only kill or absorb the spirit and soul of creatures. He cannot do things like repair.
The X-Men looked bitter. Now that things have come to this, this is the only method. After all, it is the first time they have encountered such a thing, and they can't think of any good method at the moment.
"We can only do this for now," Beast Hank sighed. "Let's follow this sir's method first. I will continue to think of methods."
"Please." Cyclops nodded. After Magneto fell, he became the leader here. After all, Magneto had been training him in this direction before. Usually, when the X-Men go on missions, they all listen to him, the Captain, so naturally no one has any opinion at this time.
So Cyclops began to instruct others on what to do next, but at this time Supreme Celestial interrupted them again.
"You'd better consider the residence problem first," Yang Le said, pointing to the earth ball above their heads.
Cyclops suddenly realized. Magneto is unconscious at this time, and his ability naturally cannot continue to be maintained. That is to say, the original floating island will definitely sink.
But, why hasn't the island sunk immediately?
"I used my magic to stabilize it for you," Supreme Celestial explained. "I can help you maintain everything on Mutant Island, let it continue to operate as a floating island, and I can also help you set up defense facilities."
"Then, what price do we have to pay?" Cyclops frowned and asked. There is no free lunch in the world. Even children know this. He certainly wouldn't be so naive as to think that Supreme Celestial would help them for free.
"Very simple," Supreme Celestial grinned. "Just some small matter."
...
In another world far from Earth, Niflheim, which is a little higher than Helheim, this silent Mist Kingdom once again ushered in lifeline.
Hela summoned all the kings, just like the previous times, but this time there was a slight difference.
"Finally," Hela opened her hands. "We can finally overthrow Asgard and let this group of martial men who claim to be justice taste the taste of Hell."
"Are we going to work for that Serpent?" Cynder looked displeased. "This is not the same as what was agreed upon at the beginning."
"Don't worry about these insignificant small matter, Your Majesty Queen," Malekith straightened his sleeves. "To achieve our purpose, it is necessary to use the power of the Serpent. Seemingly helping him, in fact, we are helping ourselves."
Malekith's words had a certain effect. Cynder's expression improved slightly, and the flame burning on his body became much fiercer.
"What we have to do is lead the army to launch an attack on Midgard and let the Serpent return to his peak as soon as possible. When that time comes, he alone can turn the entire Asgard upside down."
Hela's corner of mouth curled into a smile. She raised her hands slightly, and strange green energy rose from her body. The ash underfoot her began to tremble constantly, until several skeleton crawled out of the soil.

Chapter 779 Source of Fear - All-Realms Allied Forces
First one or two, then dozens, then innumerable skeletons.
At this moment, the Queen of the Underworld unleashed her Authority. Among these skeletons were humans, Giants, Dwarfs, and even Beasts. The Undead Army was comprised of skeletons from every creature that had ever lived.
Fenrir approached Hela. Hela transformed into a raven and gracefully flew onto Fenrir's back, landing firmly. After transforming back, she drew her Sword and aimed it forward.
"Now is the time to set off, my allies, my soldiers!"
As Hela finished speaking, the other emperors also prepared to return to their Kingdoms. Their soldiers were all on standby in their respective Kingdoms, awaiting their orders to depart.
Only the Angel Queen had not hung up the Communication. After all, her Kingdom had not yet returned to the World Tree. This was her most basic request and one of the main reasons she had joined this Plan.
Malekith, seeing this, said with a smile, "Don't worry, Queen. The Serpent has said that as long as his Strength recovers, he can pull Heaven back to the World Tree. He enjoys anything that opposes Odin."
The Angel Queen was about to speak when she felt a tremor that shook the mountains and the ground. Even the Gold and Silver Jewels placed before her scattered on the Ground.
Due to this Unexpected Event, naturally someone had to check on the Queen's State. Angela, with her hand on her Sword handle, rushed into the Queen's Palace and loudly asked.
"Queen, are you alright?"
As soon as Angela entered the Palace, she saw the Angel Queen's Face. The latter did not reveal a panicked Expression. On the contrary, the Angel Queen looked very excited at this time.
"This tremor! This tremor!" The Angel Queen opened her hands, and the huge Wings behind her fully opened at this time, fanning the exquisitely crafted recliner to the side.
"No matter how long it has been, I will never forget this Feeling. This is exactly the same tremor as when Odin expelled Heaven!"
"But now it's different! Back then it was expulsion, now it represents return!" The Angel Queen looked at Angela and ordered.
"Angela! Relay my Order! Order all Angels to prepare for Battle. I want to vent all the Resentment of these thousands of years!"
"Yes! Queen!" Angela knelt on one knee, accepted the Order, and then withdrew from the Queen's Palace.
"Hahahaha!" The Angel Queen laughed like a madwoman. Now she felt that her initial decision was absolutely correct.
…
In the Space outside the Nine Realms, a huge, unimaginable Tree stood here. This Tree had nine Branches, and each Branch hung a Planet, looking like Fruit.
This was the World Tree. The Fruit hanging on the World Tree was the Nine Realms. Each Fruit represented a World, looking dreamy and incredibly Beauty.
"It is indeed different from before."
A voice suddenly appeared in this silent Space. A Figure with long black Hair, wearing Armor and holding a Giant Hammer, stood in front of the World Tree out of thin air, observing the foundation of this World.
"I didn't expect that Odin would actually do such a thing. No, even my Brother could be overthrown by him, what else could he not do?"
The Serpent released the Hammer, letting it float beside him, then opened his arms and stood in front of the World Tree in a posture of embrace.
"It's also time to test the extent of my Power recovery."
In the next second, countless Purple Lightning burst out from the Serpent's hands. These Thunderbolts aimed at the missing Branch of the World Tree and fell directly on it.
Purple Electric Current constantly flowed on the Branches of the World Tree, slowly producing a strange Phenomenon. Unexpectedly, the End of the paper strip twisted, slowly producing a Black Hole.
Immediately, the World Tree began to vibrate until a Planet was pulled out from an unknown Corner before it slightly improved.
This Planet was naturally Heaven. Just like Malekith said, he liked to do anything that could make Odin feel blocked, not to mention that the Angels had killed Odin's Child. This was simply the best thing.
The movement caused by pulling Heaven just now was estimated to be felt throughout the Nine Realms. Odin must be able to guess what he had done. The Serpent couldn't wait to see his good Younger brother's Expression now.
"Boom!"
Until Heaven completely returned to the World Tree, the vibration completely disappeared. The Serpent looked at his hands and nodded in satisfaction.
Perhaps because he was no longer the God-King of Asgard, although he had absorbed enough Fear, his current Power was still a little worse than before. He was not yet able to steadily win against Odin in a head-on Battle.
How annoying, this Feeling of being just one step away.
The Serpent clicked his tongue unhappily, reached out and took the Giant Hammer back into his hand, and casually opened a Portal and left the World Tree Space.
As soon as he returned to Earth, the Serpent saw Loki who had been waiting for him.
"Welcome back, Father." Loki bowed his head in salute. "Malekith just sent back News that Hela, Sindr, Malekith, and the Angel Queen are all advancing towards Earth."
"Adding Laufey from the beginning, Earth is about to usher in five Armies. In addition to the remaining Sky Hammer Venerable, even the Three Realms Allied Forces of Asgard will inevitably suffer heavy losses."
"Having Confidence is a good thing, my Child." The Serpent leaned on the Giant Hammer. "But to me, all of this is Fart. Except for Hela herself who is somewhat useful, the rest are just Thugs."
"Remember my Child, in the Presence of Absolute Powerhouse, no matter how many Ants gather, they are just Ants. What Asgard really needs to care about is only Odin and Thor."
"Hela and her group are just a group of opportunists who follow the Wind. The only one I can Trust is you."
"Yes, Father." Loki nodded in agreement. The Serpent nodded and continued.
"When the Asgardian prepare to counterattack, I will be responsible for dealing with Odin. Then Thor will be handed over to you. Don't let down my Trust in you, Child."
"Don't worry, Father." Loki clenched his Fist. "I will definitely Help you break free from the Shackles of Fate."
The Serpent did not speak. Break free from the Shackles of Fate? Everyone wanted to do this, but no one has been able to do it so far. Even when he was sitting in the Position of God-King, it was just for show.
"Humph!" The Serpent snorted coldly. There was no need to think about those unnecessary things now. He only wanted to do one thing now, and that was to spray his Venom on Asgard as much as possible.
He wanted to make those who betrayed him pay the Price.

Chapter 780 Source of Fear - Mysterious Wildman
Divine Spear Bureau Ring Fortress.
Director Zheng Xian was currently sitting in the Command Center, listening to the report from his subordinates.
After the Three Emperors Squad retreated, the Giants in Shennongjia were handed over to an Army to handle, but the situation at the Scene did not improve.
These Giants appeared to be flesh and blood, but in fact, each one was equivalent to a War Vehicle. Ordinary Guns could not penetrate their Skin at all, and only Large Caliber Guns could cause some Damage.
To Damage these Giants, Cannonballs or Missiles were necessary, but the terrain of Shennongjia made it impossible to transport Tanks in. If the Giants kept hiding in Shennongjia, the Military really had no Method to deal with them.
Just when the Military thought these Giants would retreat into Shennongjia for a protracted war, these Giants actually exceeded their expectations and emerged from Shennongjia.
The Army, which had remained vigilant, engaged in Battle with the Giants. The result was shocking. Just ten Giants routed the Army, even after they deployed Heavy Firepower based on the Divine Spear Bureau's recommendation.
If they had followed the initial plan and only deployed with light equipment, it was unimaginable what kind of defeat they would have suffered. Annihilation was a distinct possibility.
Having witnessed the Giants' formidable Combat Power, and based on the Data brought back by the Three Emperors Squad, and considering that there were hundreds of Giants hiding in Shennongjia, the higher-ups immediately decided that even if they had to abandon the entire Shennongjia, they would annihilate these Giants.
So, several Warplanes were dispatched to Shennongjia, carrying Missiles of sufficient yield, intending to annihilate all the Giants in one strike.
But this confident attack was met with News that all the Giants had vanished. According to the Pilot's report from the Warplane, they had flown over the entire Shennongjia but could not find a single Giant in the sky.
Some thought the Giants had hidden themselves, but this was quickly dismissed. Hiding one Giant in Shennongjia might be difficult to detect, but there were hundreds of Giants, each around five meters tall.
Even Shennongjia couldn't conceal such a massive group of Creatures.
Someone then proposed a theory: had the Giants used some kind of Magic to conceal themselves, preventing the Pilots from finding them?
After all, Magic and Witchcraft were very mysterious to modern Humans. Even within the Divine Spear Bureau, few possessed related Skills, so this theory was quickly accepted by most.
However, just as everyone was in Discussion, the vanished Giants suddenly appeared in the City.
Only then did everyone realize that the Giants hadn't used any cloaking Magic, but Teleportation-type Magic to move their main Troops from Shennongjia.
Helpless, everyone could only choose to pursue the Giants, mobilizing the Army while evacuating the People. Of course, being in the Downtown Area, large-scale destructive Weapons were out of the question.
Zheng Xian's expression was grave. He recalled Ji Shuangshuang's Report upon her return, that the Giants' Leader had taken up a Sky Hammer. The Purpose of their raid on Shennongjia was to retrieve that Sky Hammer under their Protection.
Now that the Giants had left Shennongjia, did this mean the Sky Hammer had found its wielder?
…
"Huff~ Huff~"
In the snow-covered Shennongjia Primeval Forest, a Figure darted between the Trees. The Figure's Speed wasn't particularly fast, but it skillfully used the Trees for cover, almost always moving in Shadow.
Like a Beast, it was hard to spot.
Finally, the Figure stopped after climbing an ancient Tree. He extended his Talons, digging them into the Tree trunk to steady himself. Surprisingly, despite the Figure's unremarkable Body Size, the Tree supporting him groaned under the Weight.
This was an ancient Tree that took a full arm's span to encircle, sturdy enough to support a Car. Where did this small Figure get such Weight?
The Figure wanted to survey the Situation ahead, so he cautiously poked his Head out, exposing half his Face to the Sunlight. It revealed a savage Face and Hair that stood up like Beast Ears.
This peculiar hairstyle combined with the man's Face made him resemble a Wolverine lurking in the Bushes.
Seeing the Giants encamped in the distance, the man bared his Teeth and lowered his Head, pondering a Method. But he had been isolated from Human Society for too long. His Brain was used to simple tasks. Now, suddenly needing to devise a Method, he struggled to come up with anything effective.
After all, he usually only dealt with Beasts, at most avoiding Humans trying to photograph Wild Men. He rarely needed to think deeply.
Normally, any significant disturbance in the Forest would send him scurrying into hiding. But today, for some reason, he kept hearing a Sound in his Heart.
This Sound had begun after the Meteor fell last night. The man had always lived deep in the Forest, and his slow Footsteps meant it took him considerable Time to reach the Location of the Meteor impact.
When he arrived, he saw a group of neatly dressed people, like the Military. They had secured the Meteor impact site, and the man couldn't break through. Helpless, he retreated, intending to plan a longer approach.
Unexpectedly, less than half a day later, another loud noise came from the Meteor's Direction. This time, the Army personnel were gone, replaced by a group of large, bizarre Creatures – the Giants before him.
The man was caught between a rock and a hard place. If he could avoid it, he really didn't want to interact with others, but the Sound in his Heart kept urging him on.
The Sound told him that contact with the Meteor would Answer all his past questions, and he wouldn't have to live in hiding anymore.
'Giants shouldn't count as ordinary humans.'
With this Idea, the man retracted his Talons from the Tree, and just before falling, he re-inserted them vertically, letting his Weight carry him to the Ground.
Using his Talons as brakes, the man landed silently. As he pulled his Talons free, the once-solid Tree trunk split into four and began to topple.
The Cut Surface of the Tree trunk was incredibly smooth, demonstrating the man's Talons were sharper than any ordinary person could imagine.
Next, the man slowed his Footsteps, steadily approaching the Bushes near the Giants' encampment. Although he had made a Choice, he couldn't just charge in like a Beast.
These Giants weren't just for show. He was confident he could take on one or two head-on, but there were hundreds here. Stealth was the better approach.
