Chapter 801: Professionals Must Dare to Make Judgments
The explosion generated by Cosmic Energy instantly spread in all directions. Upon contacting the Cosmic Storm that formed the simple Meta Field, the two identical energies collided and began to counteract each other, eventually canceling each other out.
Mutual cancellation doesn't mean the energy completely dissipated. The energy from the explosion still remained, turning into crystal-clear, snowflake-like particles falling from the air. Combined with the Giant standing in the original place, whose body size approached a hundred meters, it created an indescribable sense of holiness.
Of course, anyone with Megalophobia definitely wouldn't feel that way.
Yang Le scanned his surroundings. Unfortunately, although Way Big's prototype was Ultraman, he didn't possess Ultraman's omnipotent ability.
Way Big couldn't simply spread his hands and release a light to achieve restoration of the devastated ground. Although Cosmic Energy could mimic the light from the Ultraman worldview to accomplish many things, restoration of the environment was beyond its capabilities.
Not even Ultimate Way Big could do it.
However, even though Ultimate Way Big couldn't do this, Yang Le had another convenient alien hero who could.
The white light dissipated, and Clockwork, the time king with a brass-colored body, made his entrance.
As the Clockwork mechanism on Yang Le's head continuously rotated counter-clockwise, the surrounding environment began to 'repair' itself, like a video recording being rewound.
In just over ten seconds, the area within a hundred li radius was restored to its usual state. If you ignored the corpses lying on the ground, it would seem as if everything had never happened.
Clockwork's control over time was near perfect. They could, like a search engine, manipulate time targeting only specific entries.
For example, the No-Watch Class had once performed time maneuvers targeting only the Ben of each universe, and had also released a wide range time line of sight, but only expelled a small portion of humans.
What Yang Le needed to do was much simpler than that. He only needed to simply rewind time for the surrounding environment, and Yang Le hadn't touched those dead creatures.
Large-scale resurrection of life was a business that would affect Death, one of the Marvel Four Abstract Entities. Constantly resurrecting creatures that were supposed to die would greatly weaken Death's power, and might even cause Death to suffer from ailments similar to those that only creatures get.
Although Death's attitude in the comics indicated that she didn't care about this, Yang Le still didn't want to create any resentment with an existence of this level.
Who knew if Death would suddenly bring up old scores one day? After all, just like their collective name suggested, Abstract Entities could be truly abstract at times. (Comics Author going crazy)
Yang Le looked up and saw several corpses, as tall as a mountain, constantly shrinking. Their true forms were the Frost Giants previously enhanced by the Casket of Ancient Winters.
Now that they had lost the influence of the Casket of Ancient Winters and the temperature had restored to normal, the Frost Giants naturally began to shrink again. It was believed that they would soon return to a body size of around two meters, and then even humans themselves could clean them up.
"Roar!"
"Hmm?"
Yang Le frowned slightly. Why did he suddenly hear the howl of a beast? When he shifted his line of sight in the direction of the sound, he saw Wolverine, biting a hammer and running towards him on all fours like a beast.
Wait? What Thing?
Yang Le subconsciously slowed down time around him. The figure that was originally unclear now clearly entered his line of sight. It really was Wolverine. That beast ears-like hairstyle, plus the adamantium claws about to extend, he would definitely not mistake.
"How is this old person also being controlled?" Yang Le strode over to Wolverine's side. To outsiders, it looked like teleportation.
However, in reality, just like DIO carrying Polpo, he was simply walking normally, just playing with time a little during the walk.
"This makes Skirn seem like some kind of scam organization, preying on children and old people."
Yang Le scratched his head, the friction between his fingertips and scalp making a grating sound. At this moment, Wolverine finally realized his enemy had disappeared and once again locked onto Yang Le, who had inexplicably appeared beside him.
Looking at Wolverine, whose eyeball and body seemed to be rotating in slow motion, Yang Le had no thoughts of bullying a hundred-year-old person. He raised his hand and released a time ray.
With this ray, Wolverine instantly became a month younger, truly a month younger. After all, Yang Le didn't know when Wolverine had obtained the hammer, so he simply rewound time a little more.
But he quickly realized he was doing useless work. As long as Wolverine held the hammer, no matter how much he rewound time, he would still be controlled by the hammer, at most only allowing him to be sober for a few seconds.
After a few seconds, the hammer would continue to confuse Wolverine's mind.
So Yang Le immediately switched targets, changing the time ray's target to the hammer that Wolverine was biting, pondering whether to fast forward or rewind time.
Ultimately, Yang Le decided to rewind time. After all, the Serpent was still alive at this stage. Yang Le needed to rewind time at least to the point before the hammer was forged, turning the hammer into a pile of material to get rid of the Serpent's control.
But rewinding time like that would take too long, probably thousands of years. Yang Le thought about this and decisively chose to accelerate time instead.
After all, according to the current trend, the Serpent wouldn't be alive for much longer and would perish together with Thor. Once he died, the hammer would lose its true master and naturally lose its effect of controlling the human heart.
At this point, someone might question, "The Serpent is still alive now. Even if you jump the hammer to a time after the Serpent's death, wouldn't the hammer regain its effect of controlling the human heart once it reappears in a time where the Serpent exists?"
Indeed, that's true. But what Yang Le wanted was for the hammer to lose its effect for just an instant.
Yang Le began to jump time. Just as he guessed, after only jumping forward three days, the hammer lost its activity and broke into several pieces under Wolverine's bite force.
This was because in the previous second, the hammer's enhancement effect on Wolverine was still present, but the hammer itself had already lost the Serpent's blessing, turning into an ordinary stone with nothing special about it. Naturally, it couldn't withstand the bite force of the enhanced Wolverine.
The stone hammer, broken into several pieces, fell to the ground. This kind of magic item, without the blessing of magic, is generally very fragile if its material isn't particularly outstanding.
Yang Le's judgment was based on the eyesight he had developed after learning celestial energy magic. A professional magician must dare to make judgments.
Besides, he had countless opportunities to redo it, so why not prove his guess?
After all, that entire series of guesses and experiments had only taken a second of reality time.
(End of Chapter)
Time returned to its normal flow rate.
"Crack!"
Wolverine had just turned around when he froze on the spot. He had no memory of why he was in this place, only that he had been bewitched by a Giant into lifting a strange Short Hammer, and then he had lost consciousness.
When he regained his senses again, he was already in this unfamiliar environment, with a completely unfamiliar, bloated, brass-colored Robot standing in front of him.
"Who are you?" Wolverine subconsciously extended his claw. "Why am I here?"
"You should ask yourself," Yang Le said, pointing to Wolverine's foot. "Why did you pick up that Hammer?"
Wolverine lowered his head and found that the strange Hammer was now broken into several fragments. If it weren't for the strange carving on them, he might have thought that these things at his foot were just stones commonly seen by the roadside.
Explanations have always been a time-consuming behavior, but fortunately, Yang Le had a simpler method.
The Clock King mechanism on Clock King's head began to rotate counterclockwise, and a light burst out from the Clock King mechanism, enveloping everything around it. Wolverine subconsciously protected himself with his hand, but after a while, he realized that he was not injured.
He looked up, intending to ask Yang Le what he was doing, but in that instant of looking up, he was stunned by the scene around him. Around him, several Frost Giants had appeared at some point.
In addition to the Frost Giants, there were also many human soldiers, who were engaged in a desperate battle with the Giants using various modern weapons, but the situation of the battle did not seem clear.
Wolverine was stunned by the scene that suddenly appeared before his presence. When he recovered, he found that a grenade was shooting towards his direction. At this distance, he didn't have time to dodge and could only rely on his body to withstand it.
The anticipated pain did not come. The grenade passed straight through Wolverine's body and then hit a Giant's leg, causing an explosion.
Wolverine then realized that everything around him was just an image, visible but intangible.
This was one of Clock King's abilities, replaying past events in the form of images. It was arguably the ability Yang Le used most often after becoming Clock King, because it was just too useful.
Apart from those great powers who are not affected by time, no one can hide secrets in front of Clock King.
However, despite saying he used it most often, the number of times Yang Le used this ability was actually very few. He only used it when he really couldn't find any clues, and most of the time he still wanted to use his brain more.
Yang Le didn't want to become the kind of person who, at critical moments, was urged by super wisdom to use super strength.
Although Wolverine mostly acted like a brute, he actually had a brain. He didn't need Yang Le to provide an explanation for him to understand what he was seeing.
This was all thanks to the grenade just now. At the landing point of the grenade, there was exactly a Giant's corpse whose leg had been blown off. The Giant in the image who was blown up by the grenade perfectly overlapped with the corpse on the ground, proving that the two were the same person.
It was mentioned before that Yang Le had not restored the corpses all over the ground, so when Wolverine watched the image, he could see countless pieces of evidence proving the authenticity of the image.
These bloody pieces of evidence impacted Wolverine's inner heart. He finally understood why he had lost consciousness before. Just like when he used to go berserk, this time he had lost reason again. His reason had been taken away by that Hammer.
He, codenamed Wolverine, was very afraid that he would also become the executioner who took away these people's lives. The reason Wolverine stayed away from the crowd was not only because he was afraid of being hurt by others, but also because he was afraid of hurting others himself.
But after watching the image, he breathed a sigh of relief, because he had been in a frozen state throughout the entire battle. He only got out of trouble when the Giant who had bewitched him died at the end of the battle.
As soon as he was free, he was immediately subdued by the Robot in front of him, and he had no opportunity to hurt anyone else at all. Just like a background character in a movie, with no impressive act.
But this was good.
"Understand?"
The image finished playing, and Yang Le also retracted the light screen. Sometimes he himself felt that Clock King, the King of Time, was more like a projector in his hand, and still the old-fashioned film type.
"Thank you," Wolverine retracted his talons. "If it weren't for you, I really don't know what else would have happened to me."
"It's nothing, helping you is also helping myself," Yang Le bent down and picked up the fragment of the Heaven Hammer on the ground.
He thought that this thing would be restored after being disconnected from the Great Serpent for a few seconds, but he didn't expect it to really turn into a pile of broken stone. Could it be that the Great Serpent stopped sending energy into it after realizing that something was wrong with the Heaven Hammer?
It wasn't impossible. Rather than using power on these disposable pawns, it would be better to cut losses in time and save it for the final real battle.
Yang Le picked up the Heaven Hammer fragment with doubts. Just as he was trying to ponder the thought of the Great Serpent, he discovered an even more shocking thing.
Time... seemed to have a slight fluctuation?
The fluctuation of time was coming from the Heaven Hammer fragment in front of him. Yang Le, who had become Clock King, was exceptionally sensitive to anything related to time.
Time itself is an invisible and intangible thing. The only way for normal creatures to observe time is to pay attention to the trace left by time, such as the series of problems brought about by the age increase of humans.
But time is also a closely connected thing, regardless of distance. As long as someone touches time, Yang Le will have a certain feeling.
Yang Le sensed something different in the fragment in front of him at this moment. After careful consideration, he discovered that the fragment in front of him seemed to represent the 'fruit' of something.
Karma, karma, first there is cause, then there is effect. This is an iron law that cannot be changed under normal circumstances, but now a situation of breaking the iron law has appeared.
It was mentioned just now that the order of karma is often unchangeable, but for those who control time, they can often first come into contact with the effect and then trigger the cause.
For example, right now, Yang Le was holding the effect of a certain business in his hand, and it goes without saying what this effect was.
There was only one effect that could be related to the broken Heaven Hammer of the future, and that was the death of the Great Serpent. After the Heaven Hammer lost its true master, it naturally turned into a pile of waste stone.
And now this effect was brought by Yang Le using Time Ray to the stage where the cause was still in progress, so what would happen?
Normally speaking, big things would happen, but as Clock King, Yang Le could fix this loophole, but there was one aspect that Yang Le could not fix.
That was the prophecy closely related to this karma.

Chapter 803 Changing Karma
Asgard has a Prophecy considered taboo, which is that the previous God King Great Serpent *Kurse* will make a comeback and perish together with the current Crown Prince of Asgard.
Prophecies were said to be unbreakable. Odin, desperate to save his Child, exhausted every method he could conceive, even sacrificing his Single Eye to the World Tree, yet he remained powerless to alter the Prophecy.
This was because the Karma carried by this Prophecy had already been set, a destined event.
It's akin to conceiving an intriguing plot and writing a novel around it. While you might not control every subsequent event in the narrative, that core, interesting plot point is guaranteed to unfold.
However, the current situation was now disrupted. Yang Le had brought about the Result prematurely, intercepting the unfolding Cause.
You might find this far-fetched, but triggering such an Effect is actually extremely demanding.
Not just any object from the Future can influence Karma; it must be something integral to the karmic cycle itself.
After the Sky Hammer was struck by the Time Ray, its inevitable Outcome, barring external interference, was singular: the Death of its Master, *Kurse*, leading to its Energy Source depletion and transformation into a mere Stone.
Thus, its fate represented the Prophecy's intended Normal Result – the Death of *Kurse* – unlike other Sky Hammers destroyed in Battle, a form of damage that wouldn't impact the overall Karma.
Only this specific form of destruction signified the End of Karma. Due to the intrinsic link between Prophecy and Time, this Sky Hammer, appearing in an anachronistic Time due to Yang Le's oversight and sheer chance, acquired the Effect of intercepting Karma.
The interception of Karma implied that the Prophecy itself was affected, even potentially shattered.
This seemingly insignificant Stone, easily overlooked by the Roadside, had unexpectedly become the linchpin to unraveling the Prophecy.
On Earth in the present day, aside from Yang Le, who is attuned to Time and the very agent of this disruption, perhaps only two others could perceive this shift.
...
"Hmm?"
*Kurse*, deep in Meditation for the final time before the decisive Battle, suddenly frowned. He was channeling all Power within his Body, preparing for the imminent clash.
Logically, this should be his most vulnerable moment, his Spirit intensely focused inward, diminishing his Perception of the external world. Thus, *Kurse* required Loki's protection against any Sneak Attack.
Yet, at this very moment, he sensed subtle shifts in the external world. It was... how to describe it? A Feeling of immense Burden lifted, as if unseen Shackles had vanished.
Why this Feeling? What could be the cause?
"Could it be?!" *Kurse's* Eyes snapped open, and immense Energy erupted from his Body, blasting skyward and scattering the Dark Clouds overhead.
"Father?" Loki was startled, thinking someone had bypassed her Perception and launched a Sneak Attack on *Kurse*. Before she could Ask, the world-altering Energy dissipated.
"Hahahaha!"
*Kurse* threw back his Head and roared with laughter, a sound bordering on madness. He nearly collapsed, bracing himself against the Ground with one Hand to remain upright.
After a time, under Loki's bewildered Gaze, *Kurse's* laughter subsided. He wiped Tears from the Corner of his Eyes, remnants of his outburst, and then rose, steadying himself with his Hammer.
Loki seized the moment to Ask, "Father, what has occurred?"
"A wondrous Thing, my Child." *Kurse's* Smile was irrepressible, his very Temperament transformed.
If the former *Kurse* had been as somber as a Viper, he now radiated the majesty of a soaring Jiao Dragon. Loki was intensely curious about what could have wrought such a profound change in so short a Time.
"The Shackles that bound me are gone." *Kurse* clenched his Fist, feeling the Energy flow within his Body become smoother, his Body moving with the effortless grace of a well-oiled Machine.
"Though I know not how, the Prophecy that has held me captive for millennia has vanished. Do you comprehend what this signifies, Child?"
Loki remained silent, understanding that *Kurse* needed a listener, not an echo chamber. She inclined her Head slightly, a gesture of rapt attention.
"It signifies that Asgard shall face my Rage!"
*Kurse* spread his Hands wide, and a Gale instantly enveloped him, yet the King, now radiating power, stood unmoved. Purple Thunderbolts crashed from the Sky, and in that moment, he truly resembled the Shadow of the former Asgard God King.
*Kurse* was prepared. Freed from Restraint, he discarded the convoluted Methods he had previously conceived. His Revenge upon Asgard must be executed with a Method befitting a King.
He will proclaim to the Nine Realms the Return of *Kurse*, a true Return!
...
Simultaneously, on the Rainbow Bridge leading to Earth, Thor, piloting his War Vehicle, also sensed a faint Unusualness.
Thor didn't dismiss this Unusualness. He turned to Odin, mounted on his Eight-Legged Steed, and voiced his Inquire.
"Father, I sense something amiss."
"What is it, Thor?" Odin dared not dismiss it. Thor was, after all, the Child of Prophecy, and Odin, consumed by paternal anxiety, could not afford the slightest oversight.
"I can't say exactly, just... lighter." Thor rotated his Shoulder. "Like shedding Training weights, an inexplicable lightness."
The others nearby exchanged puzzled glances. Weights removed? On the march to the Battlefield, what Nonsense was this?
Odin, too, was perplexed. He lowered his Head, closed his Single Eye, and pondered. A possibility, unbidden, surfaced in his Mind, so improbable it seemed the thought of a Madmen.
As the God King of Asgard, he possessed unique Abilities, including the capacity to perceive Things beyond conventional Means.
Even with an Answer, Odin hesitated to Believe. He Inquired of the World Tree once more before daring to accept the Message as truth.
"The Prophecy... is broken?"
With these Words, Odin exhaled a long breath, as if expelling millennia of shadow from his Heart. At that moment, Odin finally cast off the Stone in his Heart.
"What?" Thor stammered, thinking he'd misheard.
"I said, the Prophecy is ended!"
Odin's Sound resonated, carrying his declaration to every Ear present.
"The Prophecy concerning the Crown Prince is shattered! Champions, disregard my initial orders! Upon sighting *Kurse*, unleash a full Charge!"
(End of Chapter)
Chapter 804 War
After the prophecy was broken, both Great Serpent and Odin changed their attitude towards the upcoming War.
Although Great Serpent lost the heaven-defying resistance given by the prophecy, it also brought him an opportunity to break the certain death situation. After all, no matter how much Great Serpent improved his Strength, he would be killed by a youngster.
It doesn't matter who this youngster is, as long as he or she is the Crown Prince of Asgard, even a newborn Infant can kill Great Serpent.
Midgard encounters a youngster from Asgard, with destiny added, as strong as a Monster, and cannot be defeated even with all his strength.
This kind of thing is a shame for Great Serpent. Destiny seems to negate all of Great Serpent's efforts. His whole life is just to prove something that is bound to happen.
Then what is the difference between him, the God of Fear, and a marionette?
Great Serpent, whose mind is filled with this kind of thought, looks normal on the surface, but in fact has a strong Destruction desire in his heart. Now that the Shackles have been removed, these terrible things will turn into a torrential rain and fall on the Asgardians.
Compared to Thor, who was dizzy after just learning about the prophecy and being told that the prophecy had failed, Odin, who had been racking his Brains for the prophecy, could better understand Great Serpent's Mood.
Odin has extremely Complex Emotions for his brother. The powerful Power called Odin Force on him comes from the sacrifices of his other two brothers, so he really doesn't want Great Serpent to follow in their footsteps.
But the prophecy also stated from the beginning that Great Serpent would perish together with his son, and he had no way to prevent this from happening.
For Odin, this was simply the most cruel torture in the World, to watch an Old Person watch his Family kill each other. Odin's inability to go mad can only be explained by his Steel will.
But now it's different. The prophecy has been broken, and he has a more appropriate Method to solve this Event, at least without fighting to the point where both sides suffer.
Of course, the prerequisite for everything is to take down Great Serpent first. Only by ending this War can we talk about the Future.
…
In the face of this extraordinary War, Humans appear relatively small. Ordinary Weapons cannot play a role in this Battle at all. Only Weapons of Mass Destruction such as Missiles have a certain effect.
After all, among the Ten Realms, those who do not develop Technology like Frost Giants, or those who are dominated by Science like Humans are in the minority. Most of them still develop both Science and Magic like Asgard.
For example, Asgard's Aircraft and Firearm are much more advanced than Earth's.
But even so, most Nations, including Asgard, still have some people with Strength who prefer to ride magical Animals like Dragons or Pegasus, and their weapons are mostly Cold Weapons.
This is because magical Animals are generally not inferior to those Aircraft in terms of maneuverability, and Cold Weapons are mostly Divine Weapons, and their Power is much stronger than standardized Thermal Weapons.
Of course, such people are always a minority group. Most Soldiers, as they are called, still drive Aircraft and use standardized Guns. After all, it is easy to train people to use these things. As long as they study under the System for a period of time, they can provide considerable Combat Power.
So on Earth today, you can see Dark Elves driving Aircraft like Fighter Jets, Angels driving Battle Mechas, and Undead Soldiers with all kinds of strange Guns in their hands.
It looks like a Sci-Fi Movie that is destined to flop. The director mixes all kinds of Elements that may be attractive together, and in the end, everything is mediocre in everything, resulting in the box office and Stock Market plummeting.
But it is such Troops that are defeating Humans steadily, and they cannot be defeated even if they try their best.
Many Nation's high-level officials have proposed using Nuclear Weapons, and even the high-level officials of the Nations being invaded have had this Idea, but thinking about it is one thing, and implementing it is another.
Of course, the difficulty of implementation here does not mean being afraid of involving ordinary people. In order to allow more people to survive, these high-level officials have to consider the cruel Suggestion of sacrificing the small to save the big.
The difficulty of implementation refers to the difficulty of positioning. Except for the Undead who will not Death again, the mobility of the remaining Dark Elves or Angels is very good. They can even open Portals and jump from the Southern Hemisphere to the Northern Hemisphere in an instant. Nuclear Weapons cannot be positioned at all.
Moreover, these Invaders have also captured many Human Traitors who have a certain understanding of Earth. They told all the Intelligence on the Human side in detail, which added fuel to the fire to the already bad war situation.
Humans, like naked lambs, are retreating steadily. At this Time, Superhumans have stood up.
An America Councilor was attacked by Angels on the way to evacuate with his Child. Even if their evacuation Team had Soldiers escorting them, Guns could not defeat a group of Mechas.
This Team includes not only one Councilor, but also many Common People and tycoons. But in this War, everyone is equal, and they all become one type of person, that is, lambs to the slaughter.
Angels don't care about the intricacies of the Human World. They are a group of warmongers who will help whoever pays more. Even the Angel Queen has done things like Kill Infants. How high do you think this Race's Sense of Honor can be?
So facing unarmed Civilians, these so-called 'Angels' can also raise the Guns in their hands without hesitation. Ironically, there are also Priests and Nuns among the evacuees.
"Don't hurt us Angels, we are just a group of unarmed believers, not Demons from Hell!"
The Priest held up the Cross and Bible, trying to prove his Identity, but the Response to him was only a heated Bullet.
"Bang!"
The Large-Caliber Bullet mounted on the Mecha instantly mangled the Priest. The Cross and Bible that he regarded as his lifelong Faith could not save him at this time. Those Angels who would come to save him from the sea of suffering in his Dream now personally took his Life.
"Ah!"
The Death of their own kind is the best Spark. Screams rose and fell, and Adults and Children trembled like drowning quail.
This is the Effect that Angels want. They are now Mercenaries of Great Serpent, and naturally they will help Great Serpent collect Fear. Otherwise, wouldn't it be simpler to just shoot them all down?
But killing just one person should not be enough.
An Angel was obviously bloodthirsty. A cruel Smile appeared on her beautiful face. Thousands of years of imprisonment had suppressed this Race for a long time, and they needed an outlet.
'Believing that killing one or two more shouldn't be a Business, right?'
With this Idea, the Angel resolutely pulled the Trigger towards the Crowd.
"Bang!"
Then he was stopped by an Iron Man.
(End of Chapter)
The few people directly facing the Gun Muzzle had even started seeing their lives flash before their eyes.
They saw their ordinary lives, had thought of countless ways to die – dying of old age, dying of illness, dying in an accident – but never imagined they would die in War.
Even the Councilor, who had thought he might die by a Gun, never imagined he would die by the Gun of an Angel piloting a Mecha.
The life flashing before their eyes made everyone review their unique Life, but these different lives would surprisingly see the same Thing at the end.
This same Thing was not referring to the Bullet as big as a human Head, but rather the towering Steel Body, like a Wall, its silver-white Body seemed to be plated with gold in the golden sunset.
"Bang!" The Head-sized Cannonball directly bombarded Colossus' Chest. The Bullet, under the force, hitting an indestructible Object, had only one Outcome: being crushed into an Iron Pancake.
Colossus brushed off the Iron Pancake stuck to his Chest, taking advantage of the Angels' stunned moment to close the Distance, after all, Speed was indeed his Disadvantage.
"What the hell is that?" The Angel also recovered, looking at Colossus, who was much shorter than herself in the Mecha, she felt a burst of panic for no reason, and subconsciously pulled the Trigger again.
At this time, Colossus had already run up to the Mecha, looking at the Gun Barrel right in front of him, he resolutely stuffed his Fist into the Gun Barrel.
"Boom!" The Gun Barrel naturally exploded, and the Mecha connected to the Gun Barrel also exploded together, giving everyone present a Fireworks Performance.
Just as he pulled the exploded Gun Barrel off his Arm, Colossus had to face the Attack of other Angels. Everyone here was a well-trained Warrior, and they wouldn't panic because of the Death of a Comrade.
What's more, this Comrade used her Life to help them verify one Business: Physical Ammunition was difficult to work on the Metal behemoth in front of them. With the predecessors' trial and error, they could make the correct Choice.
So they abandoned Physical Ammunition and instead aimed the Gun Barrels that released Energy Bullets at Colossus. Even if this Iron man's Defense Power was enough to block one or two Mecha's Energy Bullets, what if their entire Team released them at him alone?
Even Armor made of Uru Metal would melt into a puddle of Molten Iron!
The Crowd who had just gained Hope fell into despair again. Yes, a Superhuman had indeed emerged from their side, but the opposite side had a group of people, Two fists are no match for four hands.
Colossus was not flustered at all. Who said he was alone?
"Buzz!" A Light Disc of White Light suddenly appeared behind a Mecha. The next second, a blonde beauty in Light Armor jumped out of the Light Disc, wielding a Greatsword emitting Blue Light in both hands, and slashed across the Mecha's Body from bottom to top.
With a flash of White Light, the Mecha was instantly cut in half. The Angel, as the Mecha Pilot, slid out of it. Magically, she was only unconscious, but not cut in two like the Mecha.
Clearly, the Sword Blade had slashed through the Cockpit, the Mecha was cut in two, but the Human was fine. It was truly perplexing.
"Whoosh!" Before the other Angels could react, a crimson Ray swept over, several Mecha exploded into Fireworks. The continuous booming Explosions in their Ears awakened these terrified Angels.
As the Number of people dwindled, they finally knew Fear.
But it was already too late.
"Thump thump!" An Angel looked down and found a Midgardian standing under her feet at some point. This Midgardian had Eyes different from Ordinary Person, looking like a Demon.
Gambit waved his Hand at the Angel looking down, and jumped into the Light Disc that appeared Underfoot.
"What situ..." "Boom!" Before the question could be answered, the Angel and her Mecha turned into Fragments together. However, she was not alone, and others in the Team went on the road with her.
"All resolved." Jean Grey, standing beside Cyclops, opened her Eyes and said, "There are no more Angels nearby. It seems they left the main Troops privately. The Ideas I read from their Brains were all related to Slaughter and Revenge. This should be the Reason for their private Action."
"Understood." Cyclops nodded, and walked up to the Councilor in a few steps. Don't ask how he knew, having a Girlfriend who can do Mind Reading is just that convenient.
"Lead these people away. Canada has not yet been affected by the Flames of War. If you drive in that Direction, you should not encounter any more Danger."
"Who are you people?" The Councilor pulled his Child behind him. Children don't understand the World of adults. Seeing Superpower users helping them, they thought they had encountered Superheroes.
But where are there still Superheroes now? They have all been destroyed by the weak Government and the mad Hyperion.
"We are Mutants." Cyclops calmly stated his Identity. This startled everyone, after all, many of them had persecuted Mutants before. Who knew if they would seek Revenge.
"Since we saved you, we won't do anything extra." Gambit curled his lips in displeasure, and a deck of Playing Cards disappeared from his Hand with a whoosh. Such a divine skill amazed all the Children present.
"But don't expect us to escort you. Saving you is only because the people we want to kill happen to be the people who are killing you."
Gambit stretched and continued, "We don't want to hear about your Business, whether it's important or not. It's okay if you don't want to leave, but don't blame us for not reminding you when the Flames of War reach you later. Let's go!"
After Gambit finished speaking, he took the lead and walked to the other side. Other Mutants, even Cyclops, didn't want to talk to Ordinary Person and responded to Gambit's Words one after another, really turning around and leaving.
They were just keeping their Agreement with Yang Le. He said that if Earth was really invaded by these Otherworlders, then they might not even have their original little place to survive.
The X-Men's straightforward departure surprised everyone, but no one said much. The Angels who could be easily killed by them were like Children in front of these Mutants. Then, weren't they no different from Ants?
"We... what were we relying on to bully Mutants before?" An Ordinary Person asked the Words from the heart, which were also the Words from the heart of most people.
After a while, a Nun took off the Cross from her chest and slammed it hard on the Ground, causing other Nuns around her to exclaim.
"Believe in what God? Angels are here to kill us! With that Time, it's better to believe in these Mutants, believe that your Neighbor will take a Gun to save you!"
The former Nun's Words hit everyone's Ears hard. This scene was constantly replaying on Earth.
(End of Chapter)
