Chapter 3 - Chapter 2

It was us. How? Why? Was this real? No way that could be us. Life-sized scale robots of us. Whatever this was, weren't backing down.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!! WE HAVE A BEW MATCH UP OF YHE CENTURY TODAY!!! THE ADAPTATION ROBOT UNIT VS FUKUNI HIGH SCHOOL!!!"

Adaption Robot Unit? How in the hell is this going to be fair. Most tech on the planet is extremely advancrd due to one scientist who changed history. A man who died by his own creations. The man who got a school named after him. Fukuni Hokashi.

"It all makes sense now. Hey Captain, free fight or battle formations?"

"Nah. Let's cause a riot."

I knew what those words mean. It's been awhile since I've last heard them. Last time that happened, I had blacked out. When I woke up again, the whole training area was destroyed.

"EVERYONE CHARGE!!!"

That was that. Even if it was a suicide mission. These bots look like they could kill us any second. One blink and boom, dead.

"So you're us, huh? Now this is interesting."

"Don't tempt them, Jan."

"Narvo?"

Narvo doesn't usually talk to much. Even if it's something important. I don't even remember his voice half the time. But surely enough, he was talking.

"Narvo, attack center."

"Got it."

"Revo, go wild."

"Already on it."

At last, I can show my strength to the world now. I've been waiting for this moment for so long and it's now here. I can't wait to beat up sone fancy robots.

I finally charged in towards one of the bots. It was the one that looked like Jin since he pissed me off so much in the past. I was close.

I knew I was fast. Everyone did. But I still shock myself by how fast I go. And yet, my speed was outmatched. Sure I was wearing armor, but even then, I was able to close what seemed to be a miles worth of space in just a couple of seconds. That's how big these arenas were. And the robot caught up to me. I was dead. I think.

"You still alive?"

The captain was right next to me. Apparently, I had been punched so hard that I was knocked out for a couple of minutes. The robot I had tried fighting was gone. I couldn't see him.

"Where's the robot that looks like Jin?"

"Narvo's taking care of it. He saw you flying through the sky and decided he was its next opponent."

So Narvo did have some feelings. Shocking. For some reason, I could only count eight robots. Captain's was missing, and so was mine. I was utterly confused. I knew I saw then earlier.

"Two robots are missing. Where are they?"

"Robots?"

A robotic voice behind us. Sounded like mine, but can't be too sure.

"That's such an interesting word. "

It was a version of me. Impossible, I hope, and somehow extraordinary. It interesting to see another me. Custom made and all. My question is, why me? Why us?

"You're copying my face sir. I'll have to ask you to stop."

"I'm not copying anyone Mr. Robot."

Why would I say that. It was from my heart though. Even if I did get kicked across the stadium again. It was still what is said from the heart.

"Your name. It sounds interesting. I think I'll reuse it in another way."

What was the robot talking about, I don't have any damn idea. But I'll figure it out later. My first and upmost ability is to control the outcome and make sure this robot doesn't win.

"Evo. That's an interesting one. It describes how humans evolve. I want to evolve as well."

"Looks like you won't get the chance to after this."

"That's right. We're here to defeat you."

"Don't make it cringe Revo."

Yep. Embarrassing. I was taught to always speak from the heart from my grandfather. Looks like that's backfiring miserably. Still, Jan was annoying and cocky like always.

"If you're here to stop me, then it's to late." I already know everything about all of you. All of you."

Yep, we are insanely screwed. Never thought the day would come, but I might actually forfeit. I hate to forfeit, that's why I'm always getting beaten up so much. But my team usually helps me out before anything to bad happens. Either, it was smy first time thinking this way and I hated it.

"If you're going to fight short stuff over here, then you're fighting us."

"Well, I don't mind killing a few more."

"But you haven't killed anyone yet."

"I've killed my so called "allies" in desperation to, evolve."

It had never occurred to us. How? The other robots here were wiped out. By him. If that was the case, why? I couldn't tell you more. Only that I was ready to lose consciousness. Just ready to fall and pass out.

"Don't stop!"

A sudden memory, though I was hard to see.

"What are you doing Revo, get up!"

Someone familiar? No clue. I don't have the best memory, but even then, this one felt farther than anything I have ever remembered. It felt... sadder.

"Revo, don't stop fighting! I'm waiting for you, remember?"

I could almost see her face, so close. Dark blonde hair, pretty long too, and a set of blue and red eyes. Right one blue, left one red. She was around my age. Light skin like mine. Small mouth, and a cute little nose. Not sure if this is my ideal woman or someone who wants to woo everyone.

"Fear. That's all the common factor in everything we say or do."

I was awake. Since when? Either way, Evo is about to kill us all.

"So then, puny humans, ready to die just like Revo did?"

But I was alive? Had he not noticed me? Either way, we were still about to lose.

"Revo, I bestow upon you, the spirits of the night."

It was that voice again. But how?

"Your system isn't weak. It's the strongest. You must level up your new abilities and defeat Evo before it's too late."

I guess I had mission now. It was to defeat Evo, which is a cringe name by the way, and keep peace among the universe.

"Yo, Evo, you gonna take over the world or something?"

"None of your damn business! Got it?"

"Nope."

"Wait, when did you wake up Revo?"

"Couple minutes ago. Either way, I'm here to actually finish this."

"Impressive. You've had an awakening."

"You're right dude. How did you know, Narvo?"

"Because your presence feels different. That's how."

"Ready to beat him to a pulp?"

"Hell yeah!"
