Chapter 13 - 13 solutions

520~I love you!

Jiang Xinyu decided to stay in the village for the next few years and not live outside. This chaos isn't a joke; living well is the most important thing.

At noon, the couple next door didn't take a break, and Jiang Xinyu was also in the yard helping out.

Wang Yanhong came in and saw this scene.

"Sister-in-law, are you reinforcing Xinyu's roof?"

"Yes, we are! If the roof collapses because of heavy snow in the winter, it would be troublesome. While the weather is good now, we should quickly tidy it up. If you have something else, go ahead; Xinyu doesn't need to be here."

Jiang Xinyu invited Zhang Yanhong into the house. "Aunt, have you made a decision?"

"Yes, initially, I wanted to buy this job for my family, for Qingxin, but we really can't come up with that much money right now." Actually, they did have this money, but they didn't dare to take it all out at once, as it would be too conspicuous, especially since this money wasn't obtained honorably.

"Aunt, I'm going to the county to buy medicine tomorrow." Jiang Xinyu didn't care about these things; she didn't want to give this job to Kong Mengjie before, but feared the heroine might get other opportunities so that she wouldn't have the chance to be prophetic, which was too passive. So if fate intended the heroine to have it, she would let her.

This made Jiang feel at ease, and although it would still offend the heroine, she knew the heroine's situation and future development, which was the biggest cheat.

"Aunt, if the Kong Family doesn't want it, I will scrape together the money even if I have to sell everything."

After seeing Zhang Yanhong off, Jiang Xinyu helped the couple with their work again.

"Xinyu, you've prepared quite a bit of firewood. But tomorrow, let your uncle help split the dead trees."

"Aunt, thank you both."

"What are you saying? Your parents got along well with us, and now you're the only girl left. It's really unscrupulous of us to ask for money to help out."

"Aunt, don't think too much. I am content if you can help me."

Seeing that the sun was barely two o'clock, the rooftops of the main rooms and the firewood shed were all done. Liu Manquan went home to get an axe and helped cut the four trees into sections.

Jiang Xinyu was helping on the side. She carried the chopped firewood into the woodshed.

After finishing, Jiang Xinyu went next door, handed over five yuan, and ran back.

She swept the yard, ready to go to the cafeteria. It was early today, and after returning, she could sleep earlier. Every night, she dreamed, and her sleep quality wasn't good.

Kong Mengjie came in and saw Jiang Xinyu cleaning the yard. She felt unsure—this girl, who had been indulged, had suddenly changed so much?

"Jiang Xinyu, I'm here for your answer."

"Have a seat, would you like some water?"

Kong Mengjie shook her head, fixated on Jiang Xinyu.

"The price hasn't changed, but I ask for the remaining one hundred and eighty for the next three years all at once.

Of course, I'm considering this for you; you wouldn't want this to drag on and be discovered by your workplace, right?

I can assure you, once our deal is completed, I won't say a word."

"Okay, so it's a total of four hundred and forty-four yuan?"

"Yes, you give me four hundred and forty-four yuan, and I'll write you a guarantee."

"Fine, but my family doesn't have that much money; I'll have to borrow it tomorrow.

I know you're going to the county tomorrow; you can't change your mind."

"Kong Mengjie, don't worry. I still have principles for being a person. I know if I go to the county, this job might sell for a thousand. However, after all, I belong to this village and will have to live here in the future. Besides, although you don't think much of me, I do see you as a sister in the village.

You said it yourself; you're more suited for factory work than I am."

Kong Mengjie wasn't moved by Jiang Xinyu's words. She knew it was true, but spending over four hundred yuan couldn't feel good.

With things resolved, Jiang Xinyu felt a bit relieved. The immediate difficulty had passed, yet she still couldn't remember how this job ended up in Kong Mengjie's hands in her past life and how she went mad herself.

After sending off Kong Mengjie, Jiang Xinyu carried a bowl and went to Wang Ailing's house to ask her to go to the cafeteria together.

"Sis, I sold my job to Kong Mengjie for four hundred and forty-four yuan."

"Haha, only their family could come up with over four hundred yuan." Wang Ailing said sarcastically.

"Yes, now that I have money, I'm going to the county tomorrow. Sis, is there anything you want to eat?"

"Take it easy; you've got a long way to go. Your frail little body still needs plenty of money to be properly nourished, so be mindful."

"Sis, you're right in educating me; I get it now."

The two found a spot in the cafeteria today, and only left after finishing their meal.

Just as they lit a fire, there was a knock at the door. When it opened, it turned out to be Village Chief Kong's family of three. They invited them in.

"Jiang Xinyu, we're here to bring you money today." Kong Mengjie said with a sarcastic tone.

"Thank you, there's really no rush."

Kong Mengjie hated Jiang Xinyu deeply. In exchange for these over four hundred yuan, her family agreed that she'd have to give fifteen yuan back to them each month for two years.

Kong Zhongyou didn't speak; the couple sat on the edge of the kang.

Jiang Xinyu was very perceptive, quickly bringing in a kang table, placing it on the ground, and taking out paper and a pen to write a transfer agreement and a guarantee.

After finishing writing, she handed it to Kong Mengjie. "See if there's anything inappropriate, and I'll change it."

Kong Mengjie handed one to her dad, and they each finished reading before exchanging.

"There are no issues." Kong Mengjie felt slightly at ease; at least this person wasn't playing tricks. However, deep down, she thought even if given the courage, Jiang wouldn't dare.

"Since there are no issues, then everyone present should sign and press their fingerprints. After you give the money, I'll write a receipt and give you the note opened by the county official."

Kong Mengjie took out a red ink pad and four hundred and forty-four yuan from her pocket.

All the banknotes, totaling forty-four, with four one-yuan notes, showed that the Kong Family indeed had money.

Jiang Xinyu counted once, and Kong Mengjie cursed her internally, this poor appearance had no manners.

Jiang Xinyu wrote the receipt and copied the guarantee and transfer document. Then all four present signed and pressed their fingerprints.

She went next door and took the note out from the space.

Gave Kong Mengjie a copy, "Kong Mengjie, now this job is yours."

"Humph!"

Jiang Xinyu didn't care about her attitude but smiled as she saw them off.

After showering, she nourished herself before rinsing her mouth and going to sleep.

Because she had things on her mind, Jiang Xinyu got up early the next day before dawn, dressed, and set off with a basket and water bottle, locking the door behind.

This road she remembered well, always walked to school, how could it not be familiar?

She had no idea of the current time, only walked until daylight, deciding to confirm the time no matter what, even if hidden at home, there had to be time, without it was truly troubling.

Upon reaching the county, she went straight to the hospital, genuinely wanting a thorough check-up.
