Sophie Smith was packing in her room. Actually, there wasn't much to bring, but there was an indescribable joy in her heart that made it impossible for her to calm down.
Eva Miller sat quietly on the bed for a rare moment, watching Sophie busy herself.
"Why aren't you saying anything?" Sophie found it a bit unusual.
"I'm so happy I can't speak." Eva chuckled lightly, "And finally, I get to shake off that guy, Luke Land. Just thinking about it, it's really..."
Eva lowered her gaze, and Sophie did not see the joy she expected in Eva's eyes.
Perhaps Eva was a little reluctant to part with Luke?
Sophie wondered internally, but couldn't bear to expose her. Some things are better left buried in the heart.
"Little Chili." Luke Land pushed open the door, standing somewhat desolately at the doorway, his gaze fixed straight on Eva.
"What do you want..." Eva's voice softened slightly, without even looking up at Luke.
