Jane Spencer looked at the hint of embarrassment in the girl's eyes and asked with a smile, "Maya, I need to go to the bathroom, do you want to come with me?"
"I'm not going." Maya Spencer forced a smile in response.
Jane didn't actually want to go to the bathroom, but she noticed Maya avoiding Lillian Morris's gaze, so she intentionally gave them space. As for asking Maya to come along, it was just for show; she knew Maya wouldn't go.
Because from her eyes, Jane could tell there was something Maya needed to explain to Lillian Morris.
At the dining table, after Lillian watched Jane leave, she took a deep breath, stared at the girl, and asked, "Maya, have you forgotten what you promised me?"
Listening to the man's questioning, Maya immediately smiled and explained, "Brother Morris, I haven't forgotten. I'm with Liam Vincent because he's really good to me."
