The waiter saw this and immediately pursed his lips tightly, saying no more.

Then, she placed the packed food aside and gently set her dinner on the table, afraid of disturbing Elijah Reed's sleep.
After putting the food down, she leaned closer to the waiter and whispered, "Could you get me a lid to cover it?"
She was worried the food would get cold by the time Elijah woke up.
The waiter looked at Ella's sneaky manner and made an OK gesture to her, then went to get a lid.
Once everything was ready, Ella continued to prop her right hand on the table, resting her chin, watching Elijah.
Elijah slept for 40 minutes, only waking up at half-past eight because his leg was numb; otherwise, he might've slept until morning.
He opened his eyes, looking at the covered plate and Ella grinning foolishly at him, and was startled, quickly frowning and asked, "Why didn't you wake me?"
