Just as he stepped out of the study, Arlo Seys encountered Ariel Morris emerging from the bedroom. Seeing him, Ariel's eyes flickered with a hint of avoidance, her voice low and tense: "Arlo."
Arlo Seys glanced at Ariel, his gaze deep and unfathomable, he said nothing and simply lifted his legs to walk out.
"Arlo, are you going out? It's so late, where are you going?" Ariel followed Arlo's pace, asking in a deep voice.
Arlo halted, turned back, and swept a cold gaze over Ariel, his face heavy. Remembering the secrets she'd kept from him, recalling Director Brown's words on how severe her illness was, Arlo couldn't help but coldly bark at Ariel: "Go back to sleep! Stop wandering around!"
Ariel was startled by Arlo's sudden harshness, standing rooted to the spot, no longer following.
Arlo's thin lips were tightly pressed together, he quickly lifted his legs and left without giving Ariel another glance.
