Daisy opened her eyes, a gentle smile appearing on her pale face as usual, and she asked with a light laugh, "What could a patient like me possibly have to worry about?"
"Think about it again, maybe there's something else you haven't..."
Standing behind her, Ethan tugged at her wrist slightly.
Zoe Hilker fell silent immediately, and Ethan stepped forward, smoothing the corner of Daisy's blanket and said gently, "Just sleep for a bit. Zoe and I will be right outside; call us if you need anything."
Daisy buried half her face in the blanket, only her beautiful eyes showing, and she nodded, obediently closing her eyes.
Ethan glanced at her a few times, then reached out to pull Zoe Hilker out of the room.
