Edward Stephens looked at the spoon brought to his lips, then glanced at Daisy Ginger.
Then, as if condescendingly, he opened his mouth and took a sip.
Daisy quickly scooped another spoonful for him.
In this manner, after about ten minutes of feeding, Edward had only finished half a bowl of porridge.
Daisy promptly poured out the medication for him.
"If you don't get better from this cold, just go back to the city. It's not like you're a professional at this. Can't you ask Ryan Smith to oversee things for you?"
The medicine was quite a lot, twelve pills in all, and Daisy put them in Edward's hand, then poured him a glass of warm water.
Edward looked at the pills in his palm, and upon hearing her words, said coolly, "In such a rush to send me away?"
Daisy lifted her head to look at him, and his gaze met hers, his dark eyes carrying a chill.
"I..."
"You don't have to worry about me clinging to you." He tossed the pills into the trash and stood up from the sofa.
