In the blink of an eye, Daisy Ginger had been in Chicago for a month.
Edward Stephens' attending doctor, under Edward's persistent persuasion, agreed that he could stay home for a week during the month.
On that day, Edward called Ryan Smith over to take him out of the hospital.
He even took him straight to where Daisy was staying.
When Daisy came out of the restaurant after dinner and saw the man watching TV on the sofa, she couldn't help but raise an eyebrow slightly.
Ryan, drenched in sweat, saw Daisy come out and clapped his hands, saying to her, "I'm leaving him here for you. He'll stay here for a week, and if anything comes up, call the old professor. He'll drive over to check on him."
With that, he was ready to leave.
"Stop."
Daisy said coldly.
Ryan shivered all over, glanced at Edward sitting upright on the sofa, then looked at Daisy.
