Edward Stephens paused slightly and turned his head to glance at her.
"I've wronged you, but George is innocent. If you don't want him, can you give him to me? I'll take him away and never appear in front of you again, please..."
"Why should I satisfy you?" Edward Stephens interrupted her, a hint of malice flickering in his eyes. He let out a low laugh, looking at her mockingly, "No matter what, his last name is Stephens, what does he have to do with you?"
Charlotte Smith turned pale, trying to grasp Edward Stephens' arm, "Edward, what do you plan to do to George?"
Edward Stephens avoided her touch, looking at her with some disdain. He pulled Daisy Ginger and walked out of the café.
Charlotte Smith stumbled after them, but Edward Stephens had already led Daisy Ginger into the car.
