Charlotte was lost in thought, and when she heard Robert ask her a question, she didn't think much of it and casually replied, "He's actually pretty good."
Even though Robert ran into trouble later, Ryan didn't help her, but Charlotte never held any grudges against him.
It was Robert who made too many mistakes later on, lost people's trust, and ended up like that.
The man heard this, and a slight glint flashed in his lazy eyes. He chuckled softly, his tone a bit nuanced.
Charlotte then caught a hint of jealousy and looked up at him.
She asked Robert, "What are you thinking about?"
Robert: "Nothing much."
"Ryan is my younger brother, born from my dad's affair, but my dad never raised him. It's quite pitiful."
Robert's gaze fell on her bright, clear eyes, and he spoke slowly, "Do you know that by bringing him back, he'll eventually compete with you for the inheritance?"
Charlotte's eyes curved, and she smiled, "I don't care much about those things."
