Charlotte paused her wiping motion slightly, then said nothing and continued to dry his wet short hair.
"Let's go home."
She said gently.
Ryan had already composed himself. He looked up at her, nodded, and sat quietly in the passenger seat with his head slightly lowered.

After spending the night at the Stephens family, Robert Stephens brought Ryan before Edward Stephens and told him that Ryan would be his friend from now on and that they would attend classes together.
Edward holding a book, still had slender hands and feet that hadn't fully developed. His wrists and ankles were pale and fragile. When faced with Ryan, who was about the same height as him, he didn't show much reaction on his indifferent face and seemed very compliant.
Charlotte looked at the young Edward and thought about the man he would later become with Daisy Ginger, feeling a sense of deep emotion.
